No. The icon of ship class is white with crown of premium. Like EVERY tier 10 « premiums » none is.
While t9 and below (except kirov) are premium with gold class icon.
To be fair you don’t have any booster but you have captain training acting like premium, less repair cost. And you even can install on it the yamato special upgrade.
So if you want yam but don’t want to grind, its ok.
So far nothing new. It always has been special ship. And wg was cunt enough to bring musashi camo but not musashi bundle. Rather have this than yamato as i have regular yamato….
They stopped selling musashi, thunderer and other popular ships because they were very powerful for their tier and flooded matchmaking.
I don't know about now but I doubt it has changed. I got several of the ships (tier 5 and tier 7) in the very first go around by doing missions. These were special ships not premium but got the same +5% credit bonus as the premium ships at the same tier.
Got most of this stuff for free during the original event. But now if I want to get one random commander and an Atago skin that wasn't available then, I need to spend like $100. And they're selling a skin for the Musashi without the Musashi being available at all. Lol. Lmfao even.

I got Arp Yammy in my first premium container this morning. Whenever there's an event where you can get a ship in a loot box, I usually buy 5, then that's it. I don't throw money at it. This technique has netted me Rhode Island, Pommern, Tromp, Scarlett Thunder, Malta, Florida, and two black ships - Sherman & Napoli. Plus, stacks of camos, economic bonuses, and flags. Not to mention the unique commanders and 300+ days of premium time in the 3 years I've been playing. I don't know if I'm lucky (I've spent a little over £300) or not!
Since you own both the Rhode Island and ARP Yamato and they're both for sale ATM, which one would you recommend to buy?

@@jonasdeejee890I don’t own either but take it like this. One of these ships you can get for free in a tech line just without the weeb stuff. The other is a boat that isn’t obtainable by any other form. do your research to make sure it’s right for you but between the two the choice should be simple

I remember the first go around of this event, they let you unlock one of the ARP Kongo ships through missions tied to the event.
As an experienced player, I knew to stay away from ARP Yammi first time around because of the potential shit storm that was coming. Now I can finally complete my ARP collection.
I'm a fan of the IP so yeah I'll spend money on it.

Back in the day when the ARP event was the OG dockyard (super grindy), how far we've come...
what bother me the most is that i got 7 or 8 of those ship for FREE doing event back in the day ( all kongo and myoko). and more than that, like all "free to play" game, they prey on people who have difficulty resisting to impulse buying and gambling ( loot box etc). whales aren t rich people, it most often people that can't stop themself
Yeah, I got the ARP ships free from events years ago, and it bothers me too to see them sold for money now. The events are fun, free ships are cool, and it's not like any of these are overpowered.
The gamble mechanic really upsets me. As you say, it preys on the vulnerable, not the rich. I've known some gamers who really suffer financially. Addiction sucks. Preying on it sucks.
@@j_taylor and they make futur addict/ gambler by normalizing all those stuff for younger audience too. i know they need to make server work etc, but i m pretty sur the amount of money they make cover more they early cost ( server, employee etc),i guess there is less player so they prefer to squizz all they can instead of lighting up a bit and have more player instead
As someone who took a break and missed the previous Arp events, I decided to do some research into it and saw how the different ships could be earned through play, and I decided I'd work towards getting the Takao.
...Imagine my disappointment when the event starts and all we get for free is a teddy bear commander.
I remember when the ARP Yamato FIRST came out, it cost $199 for it. So many people would just team kill those sailing in that ship at the time lol

I got the Sipan when strafing came out for CVs and got 100 worth of Doubloons in Beta. Still have 110 premium/coal/research/ steel ships.
I missed the days when you could get the ships for just doing missions. The only ones I do not have is the Arp Maya and Arp Yamato, as well I am missing the Arp Musashi skin. But I do have the I-401 and Gunzo Chihaya commanders.
When it was ARP years ago I got the 4 Kongo class BB's, 4 Myoko class CA and 1 Takao (Atago) class CA. Didn't have to pay a penny for any of them, Ground out the Yamato so I didn't need the ARP version. To get rid of the Arpeggio skins I turned off Arpeggio option in the custom ship settings. Hardly ever play them now although they are decent ships for their tier. The original ARP anime (or whatever it was) featured an I-400 submarine as the protagonist. It wouldn't surprise me if WG use ARS to introduce an I-400 into the game

The best and cheapest way to get premium ships is during Christmas time. Buy the gifts. Chances are good to get a premium ship for a lot less money than buying one outright.

I am confused. People keep saying 'price of premium ship', but this is a price for a bundle. In the bundle is a tier 10, four fully voiced commanders, and the infamously powerful Yamato special upgrade that normally takes a fair amount of grinding to get.
Pretty sure Azure Lane is a strong contender to bed the type specimen for "weab bullshit".
With that price tag, I could have gotten enough gems in Azur Lane to last the next 6 years.

Azur Lane is probably one of the more generous gacha out there.
The previous time this appeared I purchased 5xpremium containers ($22) which dropped the ARC the Yamato. I made the same purchase and this time 65,000 free XP and 14 blue economic in 3 categories dropped. That is all I will purchase of these premium containers. I put a regular camo and 21 point commander on Yamato which I play in CB and random game for NB.
I read comments here and decided to buy x5 containers. First time in my exp with WG. And ARP Yamato dropped to me from the 5th container! I will never buy premium containers again because this time used up all my luck for a lifetime.
Remember they do it because people buy them. Dont blame WG blame the people buying them at inflated price's

When the ARP Yamato was released every streamer and YT creator hated it. Thry vocalized it too. Now, a T10 is released and everyone just reviews it like it's a normal ship.
Wows Legends player here, in legends the most expensive bundles are the entire event which cost about $150(this is based off the current star trek bundle) which comes with 2 t6 ships(t7 for pc i think please correct me if I'm wrong) and 4 commanders and 2 ship skins and that is still overpriced imo given that this one event in this game will cost more then two entire AAA games so u couldn't imagine spending almost 300$ on a single bundle
I got the Littorio when it went on sale with the discount. Paid about $11 for a Roma basically and put a different paint job on it. The Yamato bundle is a bit too much for me...

Hey Y’all, if you have a tech tree Yammy, you can spend 10,000 steel and get the Made of Steel camo and the premium package so you can play it for no cost if you’re a good player. I did this for my Montana and I’m really enjoying it. Once I get the Yammy, I’ll do the same! 07Mates!

My ARP fammi was a gentle gift from WG. Not a single cent was spent, but i was not the "average guy" either.
We need ostrich mounts so we can fly from ship to ship. They would be good for scouting. I think $99 would be fair.
Aoki No Hagane No Arpeggio of Blue Steel is technically an Anime series that adapted from the Manga of the same name. It is a very interesting take on ship girls and existed way before Azur Lane. It is also first ever collab in Wargaming. Where back in the day, you can obtain those ARP ships for free. Until the “disaster” of ARP Takao Crisis. Where everyone, I think especially on those who has Atago going an out cry of the mission being too easy and can be completed by newer players to obtain Atago reskin for free. Despite that ARP Takao is a collectable ship and doesn’t have the credits earn like Atago but she still pretty much have the same stats. So back then first collab wave are only 3 ships. Kongou, Haruna and Kirishima. Wave 2 is Hiei, All Myoko Class and Takao. Remember, all of this are free ships you can earn by missions. You cannot buy the ships. Until WG becomes WeeGee and sells ARP ships for money.
Anyway about the anime. It’s horrible in later half. Cadenza Arc is, meh. The Manga however, gone different approch, they literally goes extra mile with the ARP ships. It’s a lot more interesting and I wish Anime do a remake of this again. Yes, Anime enjoyers Maya is still alive in the Manga.
The anime/manga ARP ships are absolute menace. Because not only they have utterly have force fields to absorbs any incoming damage. All of the ships have alien tech like missiles and main gun caliber lasers. They have death start level of weaponry like Super Gravitational Cannon that splits the bloody ocean when ever they want to use them.
In the Manga, actually goes very far now. Because ARP ships are no longer only available as IJN Warships. They have German Battleships, Cruisers, Destroyers and Submarines. Seriously tho, Bismarck and Tirpiz gang up stomp Musashi. To the point that Shinano has to rescue her. Carriers in ARP arent doing anything much right now.
Oh we also have ARP USS North Carolina, ARP USS Washington, ARP HMS Repulse, ARP HMS Vampire and ARP IJN ships. Heck, we also have ARP Atago now a siscon as much as Atago in Azur Lane but act more like younger sister to Takao. I wish WG have more ARP ships from the manga because they are very interesting.
ARP Bismarck are just gorgeous, she’s literally a glowing yellow while her main belt paint scheme are red. All ARP ships especially on Germans able to go full Flying Dutchman mode. Kirishima have her tomboy body back from Yamato. ARP Yamato in the series are still the fleet flag ship and doesn’t fight her sister, Musashi. And the lore is deep. Recommend for everyone. It is a good manga.

I do plan on getting the ARP Yamato pack with the unike upgrade, i like the series so i get a special Yamato just like the one i have on legends(on console is just a camo for the ship) And i dont really have problem because it will be the first time spending money for this game. I do already have Yamato on both pc and console, so why not get an extra one? If it helps me then okay its alright.

The prize of items will always be whatever people are willing to pay for it. WG is simply testing where that line is.

WG is really bizarre and incompetent when it comes to their monetization strategy. I observe that they have turned down a HUGE opportunity for revenue by not making all permacamos for a ship available for purchase in port.
For example, even if the Iron Cross permacamos were 5000+ dubs, I would have bought them all for my German ships. Distant Voyages containers are always offered VERY infrequently, and even when they do show up, there's not a snowball's chance in hell that I would gamble on a multitude of containers just to get the one camo I'm looking for.
Used up my WoWS luck for the next several years. Used one of the 20% coupons and bought 5 of the premium containers. Pulled the ARP Yamato. 😁 Don't even remember what was in the other 4 containers.

back when i used to play was when the first arp event came out and i got conned because they didnt count the leap year so missied out on the second reward. but yea the rewards were heavily grindy but they were a event to earn not buy out right

I know that Wargaming (and other developers in the industry) have been steadily increasing monetization. But think about it for a second...... if you could provide a service and discovered that people are willing to pay even more for it, wouldn't you want to increase your profits too? I like to think that I'm a decent fellow, but I have to believe that I would be tempted to "overcharge" for something if I knew that people are willing to pay for it. Ultimately, that's what it comes down to. We can blame Wargaming all we want.... but as long as people are paying those prices, there is no incentive for the industry to back off the prices.

But let's be happy that WOWS is still a more new player friendly and F2P friendly game, not like World of Tanks, where it is almost impossible to grind to Top Tier F2P, where you on't get a lot of premium time for free and you don't have boosters like in WOWS.

I swore I would never buy into a game after 2 games up and closed down , Operation 7 & Deepolis , I put way way to much money into Deepolis & poof out of the blue so sorry bla bla bla .. I would still put a few bucks in here and there for stuff but im done paying 50 100 plus at a time on single fantasy items ..

Convinced the MM has some of the online gambling code in there, I'm a pretty average player after 5 years but no matter how long or hard I play, what i change its always 50/50, +/-5% improvement. No matter what I grind or premium I get, every session is 4 or 5 great games, then deteriorates to straight blanks. Same in Ranked Straight to 3 and then spend 8hrs trying to get back.. Now first years on all platforms up to T8 I was 30-40% better game on game, then started buying the weekend pass to convert XP to tier up and last 2 years just gets worse and worse.. Does the algorithm know i get pissed off and spend a few bucks to change ship and spend cash?? in 1/10 games in T8,9,10 ,* I am mildly competitive v MM regularly the only T8/9 with a full set of 10/* . If I roll out a * ship I get Premiums or 30km range BB and super CV.. - Easy to say I am a shit player but cannot be all me after 5years on all platforms..
It's greed. Plain and simple. Or they're putting insane prices on them to try to reduce the amount that are bought and thus appear in game.

I spent about 200x that just in the last year.
Whether we like it or not, WG is a for profit company, so of course they have to make money somehow. A lot of people complain about how aggressive their monetization has become over the years, and it´s true. But you have to analyze why they have been able to get away with it. We all know the answer. There are enough people in the game that spend a lot of money in these events. So naturally, WG is going to continue coming out with expensive events because they know enough people will spend money on it.
Now this can suck for those that are free to play players and players that just spend enough to get premium time. But thanks to all those ¨whales¨ that spend a small fortune on the game that pays the bills for WG, the rest of us have a fun (most of the time anyway) game to play.
I presume there must be some simple people who buy these ships, else they would not sell them..
the saddest thing those arp ships used to be free back in the day and one more thing 120 bucks for a single ship that is a copy u can get for free, man u are either stupid or very rich, 120 bucks u can buy 2-4 whole games
