    Alex: Meant to say a couple of times, I like the music you present from time to time on your videos to break them up a bit. Love your “Don’t give a shit” attitude now and then when called for!👍🏻You were blessed in your moment of need to have an Armenian friend find YOU! From my view, I especially liked the countryside, beautiful! Good to know your (& Donnie’s), limits, when to stop and turn around, that is an incredible lesson to learn in life. Cultural comments & political status is valuable for those who just do NOT think about such things or know?! Great ride in spite of the obstacles👍🏻

    Brilliant video dude. Glad you have been able to show that some countries are easy and some are not so to get fuel. A good touring tip that.

      The idea of this series is to be a diary, that's why they are so long, i want to show everything the good and the bad. Some days it's fun some days it's frustrating, that's what you get on such a long distance trip and I want it all documented. Glad you enjoyed it! :D

    I reckon that those old trucks would fetch good money abroad as collectors items but nothing could replace them with anything as serviceable.

    Climbing the hills out of Yerevan, on a rutted dirt road, I began to say to myself " I bet Alex is thinking the biggest "adventure" of this trip is where the hell Marius is going to try to go next !!" And by the way, I don't remember what kind of bike Marius is riding with you, but I can tell it an ADV or some more serious off-roader than Donny...:))

    Friend Alex, read a book about the Armenian genocide by the Turks. Also find out about the relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan and don't mess with the Armenians. All of us Balkans are obliged to know our history. Politicians are not the only ones who create history.
    Well done for your trip.

    It's my understanding that Azerbaijan has been tough on tourists on motorcycles, but I'm not sure why. It's a shame if you have to go around it. At any rate be safe and enjoy yourself!

    Two questions: how long did your Ulefone gone on navigating in hours, how did you charge it? What was the navigation software through your trip?

    • @RideWithAlex
      @RideWithAlex  Před 10 měsíci +1

      The ulefone can go for about 14-16 hours of navigation without charging, and the software was IGO, you can find it on the play store but you have to pay for the maps.

    I think that the western BIS banking system has made it very difficult for non cash transactions in the Russian aligned countries. It’s blackmail essentially. 😢

    What were you doing there, man? Are you crazy? You don't even pass through these countries dead!! I have seen all the episodes you uploaded on CZcams, some countries may be worth a bit, but believe me there are countries much more interesting. I have grown old on two wheels traveling the world. Be good to travel, and see them on the Internet. Thanks!

  • @rilson80
    @rilson80 Před 2 lety +6

    This is your worst video so far, I don't mean anything bad, but it's the worst. Driving too fast and needlessly risky, driving too fast at border crossings attracts unnecessary attention, also arguing with border officials, completely unnecessary commenting about politics, especially if you don't know the situation there, completely unnecessary commenting about the English language because many people on the planet just are not interested in the English language, I was in Romania and very few people speak English, even if I were a gas station worker I wouldn't trust you about the card :)
    As for borders and covid, until a few months ago the Italian border was closed for the same reason, so... Don't blame me, but I'm just being honest, I enjoy looking at your posts, keep it up, just avoid some things. A good example is that girl from Holland, Itchy boots, who traveled the whole world on a motorcycle and experienced much worse situations than you and never commented negatively on political things between countries, reasons for closed borders, knowing English...etc... don't blame me, please , I do not think anything bad.👍👍

    • @RideWithAlex
      @RideWithAlex  Před 2 lety +14

      I completely agree with you. There is just one slight difference between me and other big CZcamsrs. For them CZcams is a business, so they cut out the frustrating parts and the political comments to give you a politically correct version of the video. I don't want to be like that. This series of videos is a diary of my experience on such a trip. Yes some days were frustrating, i got mad, i was genuinely pissed off and i showed it, because such a trip will give you moments of frustration, of disappointment, of anger. It's a very raw representation of what it is like to experience such an adventure. I want my viewers to experience everything with me, both the good and the bad, I don't want to cut the bad parts out and give you just a 20 minute video with the just the nice things. I do CZcams for fun, i have a full time job and i don't need to turn my channel into a profitable business. That gives me the freedom to be completely raw and natural and put on screen the true genuine experience. And don't get me started on Romania, I could rant about all the bad things in Romania for hours on end, and that might be a good idea for a video :)).
