@@MultiDarkElf IMO, Aliens is the best sci-fi film ever made. Everyone is so busy watching all of the action and all of the killer bugs, they still haven't seen how many times the number 57 shows up on screen... which could be really bad and silly if it stuck out like a sore thumb. If Aliens was made by a lesser filmmaker.
Because of 57 and so many other numbers popping at the right times, we get so much more absorbed in Ripley and her story than any other female character this side of Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With The Wind and Sarah Connor in T2 (ironically).
Its Aliens more than Alien, Ghostbusters or Gorillas in The Mist that made Sigourney Weaver a legend. And that's because of Camerons incredible, revolutionary skills with 3D cinematography
There have been hundreds of monster movies. But this stands out in a positive way. Once you figure it out way it stands out you would praise it too.
