@@tobaccokitten I'm sorry I need to remove my comment because after looking at the video and taking a screenshot and blowing it up it is a tie dye shirt I had him confused with another gentleman that wears a shirt that is similar and he has admitted that it's a print not a tie-dye but this shirt is a true tie dye take a screenshot of them and blow it up and you will see that it is a tie-dye and study it for a while and you'll figure it out how to do it like I did but thank you for your comment

Great video that very graphically shows exactly how to fold and apply dye in order to get a great shirt! Your technique is great! I wish I could get those large folds to be as consistent as yours. I'm still trying to figure out how to envision what the end result will look like before applying dye (for instance exactly what effect staggering the color on the back of the folded shirt). I'd like to envision a color scheme before hand and come pretty close, without having to dye multiple shirts to achieve what I'm looking for. GREAT JOB WITH THE VIDEO!

If we had a dedicated work space specifically designed for this, we could all make beautiful tie dye all day long. Try this in your kitchen sink or on your picnic table at home.
I want a washer set up like that. By the time I’m done wringing and banding/tying my shirts, my hands are raw.

:30 seconds in I noticed you all have a deticated curing room with a fan running it looks like. But nothing seems to be wrapped or put into bags to cure.. Can you leave items out in a controlled temperature room?
I like to put mine on a slightly raised rack inside a plastic container with a lid to cure. I just took a metal sink rack and used that. It's good to keep it sealed while you batch to retain the moisture, but it's also important to let the excess dye drain out and not ruin your design.
What is soda ash? Is it just water mixed with soda? And how many per liter? Greetings from The Netherlands

My colors don't come out of the wash as rich. Am I washing out too much or not putting enough dye on shirt. I can't seem to find the right way to wash out my shirts. Help please?
