Fabius Bile is a great character. Truly one of the best in the whole 40k universe IMHO. One of the few able and willing to think for himself and not be ruled by the gods or even his own emotions. Willing to do unspeakably cruel things if he feels it necessary to him but he doesn't derive pleasure from it as so many other monsters in 40k do. He despises chaos and is working to build a human being that can withstand and eventually destroy it. He's a scientist in the truest sense of the word, and one of the few in the galaxy, but he isn't a machine and has quirks and character flaws and personality like we all do. The Fabius Bile novels are so good, I recommend check them out. He's good in the Fulgrim primarch novel as well. Thanks for posting another cool video baldemort
I’m really hoping for a Cawl vs. Bile story arc. 2 of humanity’s last hope for scientific progress trying to outplay each other. Imo it only makes sense they would build up to that. But let’s be honest, Cawl ultimately adding Bile to his memcores would be huge.
There are Fabius Bile novels ? What are they called my friend. O man iv never read a 40k novel just lots of codex and rule books and white drawrf. There are so many novels and people all have great things to say about it. Im tempted to play them and listen to them well I paint but If I read a book rather then listen to it audio book I enjoy it more. However If I listen to audio book then I can still paint at the same time still enjoy it but the imagantion isent as much. What do you prefere ? Read a Novel or Listen to a novel Audio Book ?

Both Fabius Bile and Lorgar are the most interesting members of the traitor legions, they were not cursed, tricked, deceived, betrayed, or even miss understood. They both fully choose the path they walked, and that's part of why they are fantastic parts of this lore. I am hoping we do see Chaos primaris marines both in the lore and the table top. I am looking forward to the full video one day, for Bile is character I know very little about, and we are going to get some good juicy lore with War of the Spider! 10/10 video again!

Looking at Fabius Bile, I would agree with your assertion that he must be Imperium Enemy #1 or at least a VERY close second to Abaddon, if only because I imagine the Imperium as a whole must view Abaddon as a receptacle of their wrath for the horrors Horus visited upon the galaxy.
So far I've honestly loved the Fabious Bile series, bile is one half despicable monster and half endearing and interesting, both in goals and self identity, can't wait to read the third book once it's out on audio, amazing job as always Baldermort, I'm glad to give you my 10$ a month, no regrets :)
Bile is one of my all time favorite characters in anything. He perfectly represents the horror if 40k. Also, the only miniature I currently have, he's not even painted yet but was always going to be the first.
I will certainly do my best to get content out to people while they may be bored. I despite boredom, so feel it a personal quest of sorts. Insignificant though it may to some, light entertainment I find is important to keep the mood high. :)

@@baldermort His actions have always ended up serving the aims of Slaanesh despite his total contempt for the legion's deity, and his aims when he was younger were clearly dictated by obsessive, grotesque intellectual curiosity alone. However his 'New Man' project (although breathtaking in its hubris, like everything he does) seems to be a genuinely selfless attempt to fix the core problem of humanity - in a bizarre way he takes after his grandfather, more than any other Astartes. His desire to exist only 'until my work is done' and then step aside in favour of his creations seems quite sincere, though of course his work never *will* be done. He has more in common with the likes of Belisarius Cawl than either would care to admit. This is what makes him so fascinating - he is of course a monster guilty of crimes beyond comprehension or computation, but he is also possibly the least sadistic of Fulgrim's sons (everything he does has a purpose other than simple gratification).
Andi Lucas lol. And that’s definitely where we differ in our perspective. Each valid. You’re probably more correct than mine as you are clearly more versed than I. (Which isn’t tough. I’m only a dancing duck on a hot tin and never claim to be extensively read. Certainly not as much as you) AND (not but). I think he gets an insane high from his experiments and works of biological artistry. People see the chaos powers as always base and libidinous or carnal and savage. I disagree. I think they are more subtle than that by far. I think Fabius will always need to do ‘one more thing’ and if his new man ever succeeded he would just move on to the next step - a step he would instantly invent on the spot if required and without even doing it consciously. But I think he gets an insane sense of satisfaction from his deeds. Hence, in many ways his path is no different to his brothers. It is just faaaar more refined, suiting his IQ, but no less corrupt. Just a view. This has been fun. ;:).

I pretty much agree with you - he isn't consciously and deliberately evil and perverted like his brothers, but the amoral obsession which drives him is still warped and corrupt. Slaanesh is the god of obsession, and Fabius is still in his/her/its grip despite dismissing the gods as 'sentient warp storms' and their followers as fools. He isn't a straightforward narcissist like most of the legion, but he does have a titanic intellectual arrogance that makes him as much of an egomaniac as Fulgrim. He may be quite happy to die quietly when he has finished and served his self-appointed purpose, but he wishes to reshape the galaxy to his own design first!

Theres a reason why theres not used lazer or many heatbased weapons. The voidshields needs to be overloaded wich means they dont posses the firepower to do so cause voidshields gets strengthen with heat based weapons! so meh!?

They both fully choose the path they walked, and that's part of why they are fantastic parts of this lore. I am hoping we do see Chaos primaris marines both in the lore and the table top. I am looking forward to the full video one day, for Bile is character I know very little about, and we are going to get some good juicy lore with War of the Spider! 10/10 video again!

Looking at Fabius Bile, I would agree with your assertion that he must be Imperium Enemy #1 or at least a VERY close second to Abaddon, if only because I imagine the Imperium as a whole must view Abaddon as a receptacle of their wrath for the horrors Horus visited upon the galaxy.
So far I've honestly loved the Fabious Bile series, bile is one half despicable monster and half endearing and interesting, both in goals and self identity, can't wait to read the third book once it's out on audio, amazing job as always Baldermort, I'm glad to give you my 10$ a month, no regrets :)
Bile is one of my all time favorite characters in anything. He perfectly represents the horror if 40k. Also, the only miniature I currently have, he's not even painted yet but was always going to be the first.
A mad science so insane he is consider himself sane in a reality full of insanity and cruelty!
I love Biles “Enhanced” creations of Astartes and god knows what.

Another great video! have been reading the Fabius Bile omnibus book and he's a compelling character. Bile stands apart from both the emporor and chaos, following his own path, and has a real genius.

@@baldermort His actions have always ended up serving the aims of Slaanesh despite his total contempt for the legion's deity, and his aims when he was younger were clearly dictated by obsessive, grotesque intellectual curiosity alone. However his 'New Man' project (although breathtaking in its hubris, like everything he does) seems to be a genuinely selfless attempt to fix the core problem of humanity - in a bizarre way he takes after his grandfather, more than any other Astartes. His desire to exist only 'until my work is done' and then step aside in favour of his creations seems quite sincere, though of course his work never *will* be done. He has more in common with the likes of Belisarius Cawl than either would care to admit. This is what makes him so fascinating - he is of course a monster guilty of crimes beyond comprehension or computation, but he is also possibly the least sadistic of Fulgrim's sons (everything he does has a purpose other than simple gratification).

I think he gets an insane high from his experiments and works of biological artistry. People see the chaos powers as always base and libidinous or carnal and savage. I disagree. I think they are more subtle than that by far.
I think Fabius will always need to do ‘one more thing’ and if his new man ever succeeded he would just move on to the next step - a step he would instantly invent on the spot if required and without even doing it consciously.
But I think he gets an insane sense of satisfaction from his deeds. Hence, in many ways his path is no different to his brothers. It is just faaaar more refined, suiting his IQ, but no less corrupt.

@@baldermort I'm drawing on his novel series (really impatient for the third one right now!) which give him the most depth. I pretty much agree with you - he isn't consciously and deliberately evil and perverted like his brothers, but the amoral obsession which drives him is still warped and corrupt. Slaanesh is the god of obsession, and Fabius is still in his/her/its grip despite dismissing the gods as 'sentient warp storms' and their followers as fools. He isn't a straightforward narcissist like most of the legion, but he does have a titanic intellectual arrogance that makes him as much of an egomaniac as Fulgrim. He may be quite happy to die quietly when he has finished and served his self-appointed purpose, but he wishes to reshape the galaxy to his own design first!
