Meanwhile tower of fantasy has decent defense and healing spam on DPS sets. Tans are rarely useful (and don't hold their own usually), and healing is only really useful if the boss is way too strong for your team, or if your dps set can't solo World/raid Bosses or something because you take too much damage for even your op healing from your dps. If you can't dodge the attacks just grab healing and fight for an hour. Ouch.

I went to Japan in 2019 and knew that Akihabara would just be a dumb tourist trap and was cautious when I went there. I ended up going there three different times on the trip and it was one of the best experiences of the whole trip. Akihabara is worth it, don't listen to anyone who says it's just a tourist trap and to avoid it. If you are into Japanese media and video games, Akihabara is amazing.

This whole "anti-tourist trap" thing is honestly one of my biggest issues with society these days - Almost the entire point of going on vacation is... to... go... to... "tourist traps"...
Because they're fun, they're different, they're not your general every day experience.
I've lived in "tourism focused towns" my entire life. Despite being a local... I absolutely love to go do the touristy things. To go look at the weird souvenir shops, to go to the gimmicky local shows, to go to the weird local entertainment businesses.
Because I've been to the local beach 800 times. I've been to the lake 600 times. I've wandered around town and been to nearly every restaurant within a 50 mile radius.
I'll absolutely never understand this whole notion of "you're not allowed to go have fun because the fun just so happens to be slightly overpriced". Disneyland tickets are absurdly expensive but it was still one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had in my life. So, as long as you enjoy it and can afford it... who the [redacted] cares if it's a "tourist trap" or not.
Haunted houses, Area 51, Akihabara... these aren't the kinds of things you can do every day in most places. They're unique experiences. And that's the entire reason someone would even go to them. Because they're unique.

    • @NottJoeyOfficial
      @NottJoeyOfficial Před rokem +13

@@AtomicArtumas oh for sure, another one of the most memorable experiences while I was in Japan was when we accidentally wandered into Asakusa, another area known for being a major tourist trap. It was fun to just randomly end up there without planning it, and that's part of the experience. Just get lost and experience things, it's fun. If those things happen to be a tourist trap, so be it, they're still fun. Exploring is part of the fun, and tourist traps are part of the exploration.

Yea Akihabara is a nice place to visit... Though there is one thing that is vanishing even in Japan ( something that has got me a bit sad ) are arcades.. Still remember as a little kid going to arcades playing different fighting games and talking about games in general with random people at arcades.. Actually won a small tournament that was held in Osaka in 1992 or 1993. Prize was not much but that was not the thing that mattered really lol.. On the Gary Bowser thing, the dude made thousands selling hacked and pirated goods and he also sold ransomeware (software that threatens to either not work properly or will steal data unless you pay up). So you can’t even make the argument “dude wasn’t profiting off piracy so what’s the big deal?” nope he was making money off stuff he got for free via illegal means. I bring this up because I find it stupid certain CZcamsrs are trying to paint this as a “big bad corporation keeping the little guy down” story when it’s really not. Dude acted like a corrupt businessman, got screwed by an actual corporation.
Plus there’s plenty of legitimate things to criticize Nintendo over like how they treat fan games and CZcams videos showcasing mods, going to bat for a dude who SOLD pirated software and ransomeware isn’t worth making a fuss over.

Yeah... stuff like this is legitimately making me not watch certain content creators anymore because of how ridiculous their defense of anyone that gets on the wrong side of Nintendo is, REGARDLESS of what the person actually did.
It's the same thing I've been saying about certain community reactions to certain channels getting restricted or even deleted on CZcams for years now - Sometimes, you just crossed a line that you really shouldn't have crossed, and you get punished for it. Like certain channels getting demonetized when they quite literally included footage in their videos that featured women in see-through clothes, and yet all the (same channels, for the most part...) "commentary" channels and whatnot were attacking YT for it. I was just like "I've watched this channel off and on for the past 6 years and in the past 2 years they've legitimately just started uploading softcore content, what the [redacted] did anyone expect to happen?"
People need to really start doing real research on topics before they just spout off their random morality speeches. Especially when it comes to stuff like Nintendo's various legal cases - people really need to stop defending criminals that are doing basically the video game equivalent of being that guy that walmart finally decides to press full charges against and get sent to jail because they've been shoplifting every single day for the past 4 years and have been confronted about it 600 times already.

Personally, I think something more definitive would have gotten the same message across. Making it "for the rest of his life" gives him the sympathy card to play, because most of the time you are slapped with a huge restitution that has set payments the person pays until a set time. But because most people don't realise this guy is old, that the quote of "for the rest of his life" was a colloquial metaphor for the amount of money he owes. He COULD pay up and be done before that happens, but since he spent all the money he obtained illegitimately, that's why he is paying the rest of his life. He burnt through so much of his ill gotten gains that there is no reasonable timeframe left for him to pay it back in.

About halfway through New Game+, it got to where it was becoming tedious because even the weakest enemies were killing me in one hit. Other than being region-locked, it wouldn't have played any different to the regular black ones the US had, but it was so cool seeing it there. I miss those kinds of special electronics.

Man, those games were absolutely amazing.
I randomly rented them once years ago and I still to this day remember a LOT of them because they were so... interestingly uniquely fun.
I will say that I've tried playing a LOT of really old games in recent years due to stuff like the NSO emulators, the recent PS+ higher tiers, random free old games from steam/epic/amazon, etc. - And... it's definitely hit or miss. Especially pre-3D games.
A link to the past? Absolutely amazing still. Super Mario World? ...not nearly as good as I remember it, and I definitely prefer some of the more recent 2D mario games, and REALLY appreciate mario maker more now.
Contra? Surprisingly good. Breath of Fire 1...? "ok".
I feel like almost any game with remotely a budget and competent dev team that was released after the N64/PS1 era is going to be at least somewhat enjoyable.
I still quite regularly play PS2 and GCN games because they're still quite legitimately good.
A LOT of PS1/N64 games are great, but some definitely suffer from questionable design elements and whatnot, including games I used to absolutely love, like Yoshi's Story.
There's definitely really old games that I will 100% question the sanity of someone that claims they really enjoyed playing it.
...Just like there's definitely current games that I will 100% question the sanity of anyone that claims they like them.
But... some of those old games are really, really, REALLY surprisingly good, even by today's standards.
There are... definitely... some NES/SNES era games that are.... horrible. Games that I seriously, SERIOUSLY question how they ever got sequels.
But there's also still some absolutely god tier retro games.
What's important is that the game's actually fun.
      Not when it was made.
The issue is that there's definitely games out there that just... aren't fun.
For every console generation, every genre.
There ARE some genuinely horrible games out there.

But bedroom is always a mess within three days if I don't have a specific event I'm trying to keep it clean for and even then a week kept clean is the record time. I recommed trying to have a chaos bucket so your gaming room can stay clean too, if you let yourself have chaos but contain it in a specific space that is clearly bordered like a desk, a box or a room, it helps a lot.

My stance on piracy is that the SECOND a game is no longer accessible via the original company, it’s ethical to pirate. By accessible I mean “the general public is capable of purchasing it, without having to jump through crazy hoops/it costing insane amounts of money in the form of a one time purchase or subscription based system.” For example, prior to March of this year, 99.9% of all 3DS games were easily accessible via the 3DS eShop, and thus piracy was not ethical. But now that we live in a post eShop world, pirating those games is very ethical, as there’s no way to pay for them in a way that would support the original developers. I hacked my 3DS the day after it’s closing, and it’s great, highly recommend.
