  • In this episode of The Cordial Catholic, I'm joined by my new friend Joseph Dinesh from the incredible ‪@JDcatholicEngage‬ channel to talk, first of all, about his amazing faith journey and then to dig into some of the anti-Catholic misunderstandings and misconceptions that Protestants have about Catholicism.
JD's journey is one of a passionate young man converted away from the nominal Catholicism he was raised in, into a vibrant Evangelical faith only to come storming back into the Catholic Church through some serious movements of the Holy Spirit in his life and a discovery of the truths of Catholicism he never really knew.
    It's an amazing story!
We also dig into some of the biggest anti-Catholic misconceptions JD hears like issues about hell, how Catholics and Protestants understand salvation, purgatory, and much more.

I’m at a loss of words of how Jesus Christ our Lord and God and I do want to mention also Mother Mary helps people to see in a powerful mysterious way to understand and believe in his One True Christian Church that he started on Pentecost upon the Apostles and their Successor’s which will continue till the end of time through the promise of Jesus Christ telling his Apostles that he will be with them even till the end of time.Truly a uplifting convincing story amen 🙏

2 Peter 3-7 a recent second reading at Mass, for me is the bridge that Catholics and Protestants can cross together to tear away all disagreements about each of our understanding of Justification, thanks for this video, convert at marriage prep 52 years ago, and still married and learning. Well done! We see in the vehement, occasionally irrational opposition to both men, that they proclaim the full truth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I note that, by definition, Protestantism does not offer sacrifice. This tends to place Christ in the distant past, while on the other hand they demand that we have a "personal relationship" with Him. How? A thought process? A huge problem is that since the Protestant dissolution and fracturing, they are impossible to define.

Loved the Harry Potter/Rowling analogy. I will try to remember that one.

Brothers in Christ! Glory to Jesus Christ! This discussion was so transformative and full of wisdom from the Holy Spirit. The high point to me was seeing the verse "faith without works in dead" in this light of the works God calls us to being transformative in our lives. Of course God is a wise and loving parent who knows we must replace our sin with the sacramental life and service to others. I am once again thanking God for leading me home to the Catholic faith. No words can express what a treasure it is.❤
