- Last August 2023 I went to Pacasmayo, Peru, to participate in the IWT PWA World Cup event.
This place is one of my favourite waves in the world; so clean, long, perfect and consistent; a real dream that I'm able to replicate pretty much every year.
Having a competition here is really special and bonds me even more with this spot, as here is where I had mu first international win in the 20217 IWT Pacasmayo Classic. Last year I had another great result that simply confirms how much I love this place.

That's absolutely a fact Santiago! Sailing Pacasmayo is tiring and the first days are pretty demanding on the arms and body in general! The adrenaline rush and excitement do their part too though 🙌😜

Good job, Federico!!! What a ride! Congrats on your scoring. I guess Pacasmayo delivers probably the best conditions I've ever seen (you tell me if I'm wrong)...if it just was a right, it would be perfect 😊. Keep up with the good work!

Wahhh Incredible waves!!! Your surf is so nice and smooth! The take off is so far, how does the judges can follow your ride ?
Thanks a lot! Pacasmayo is indeed a tricky spot where to compete and judge! Usually they put limits on where we should start and finish riding; but because of priority fights before riding and adrenaline rush while riding, often those limits aren't respected and at the end of the day you just hope you're sailing radical enough for the judges to see!😅🙌🔥
