- In battleground Pennsylvania, President Biden called for the tripling of tariffs on imports of steel and aluminum from China as he addressed hundreds of members of the United Steelworkers union. Former President Trump raised tariffs during his time in the White House, and is pledging to do it again. NBC News' Gabe Gutierrez reports.

Weird... just a few years ago Liberals, including Biden, claimed tariffs on China would spark an unproductive trade war.
In March 2018, President Trump announced the administration would impose a 25 percent tariff on imported steel and a 10 percent tariff on imported aluminum. Democrats attacked him mercilessly, they rolled the tariffs back as soon as Biden was installed. Every liberal think tanks has eviscerated the tariffs as costing Americans massive amounts of jobs and money. So now how will they spin it? Reject these parasites.
Why didn't Biden call for this on day one instead of opening our borders.

steel tariffs was only 7.6% imposed by Trump?
China gets the last laugh. US sends raw material to China for our battery production needs and components. So if the administration wants to add tariffs to that as well, up goes the price of the US EV. Also, the EV market has slowed, but if China really feels they want any of the dismal share of the US buyers, they'll build plants here.
Tariffs are paid by the import country in the form of higher prices. The Tariffs will not hurt China they will hurt US citizens tremendously.
I recall when Trump did that in 2017. Schumer said Trump was bringing down the entire economy 🤔
