    He didn't "Join the Empire". He remained loyal to the government he has served for years. The Republic became the Empire. He was carried over to the new order. They are still the galactic government, and he is a patriot. He truly believes that he is on the right side, and that the Rebellion are terrorists. He might not agree with the more sinister Imperials, but he isn't going to defect.

      Wullf Yularen has been compared to Erwin Rommel, a German commander in WW2. Though he fought for the Nazis, many in the Allied Forces considered him to be an honorable man. He treated POWs well and was against the use of senseless violence. He was simply a German patriot. He joined the military during WW1, and his rank was carried over when Hitler took power.
      Like Rommel, Yularen is a good man, fighting for an evil side. It doesn't mean he is necessarily in the right. He is "just following orders".

    • @seangannon6005
      @seangannon6005 Před 7 lety +31

      FreakDaMIghet I always figured rommel a man who didn't necessarily agree with nazi principles but at the same time did nothing to oppose them. he only got involved with the plot to kill Hitler when it was clear the war was going to be lost

    • @BigBennKlingon
      @BigBennKlingon Před 7 lety +33

      Ya "join" is definitely the wrong term. Perhaps "Why did Yularen stay loyal to the Empire?" would be a better way of framing it. Personally my biggest question isnt why he stayed, but why he moved from the relatively a-political military to the ISB, which is kind of most sinister organization of the Empire.

      Allan Tayor alright. first the Jedi were partially responsible for the Force being out of balance. Balance would mean light and dark being equal or being in harmony. In legends the precursor to the Jedi order was the Jed'aii who inhabited a planet called Tython which had two moons Ashla and Bogan(don't feel like looking up the spelling) one a moon of light and the other of dark. the Jed'aii believed that one must remain in perfect balance with the force and those who swayed more towards the light or the dark would go to the respected moon until they were in balance once again but of course eventually there were those who embraced the dark too much and war broke out eventually leading the Jed'aii to believe that the light was more powerful and left and became the first Jedi. So there's that, there's just very questionable things that the ordered did like in clone wars the council found that the Sith were behind the clone army but said nothing and continued the war anyway. Yoda and Obi wan lying about Vader to Luke and insisting that Vader must die despite Luke being able to redeem him. that's the short of it as I would be here all day listing examples from canon and legends about how awful the jedi were with things(Like brain washing Darth Revan or counting imbalance by wiping out the sith) and I think one of the reasons why Luke sought out the first Jedi temple on Atch-to was to see if he could learn why balance wasn't restored and learn the truth of the force before the subsequent Jedi twisted the idea of it over the generations.

    I wonder if Yularen would have served the Empire if he had known Palpatine's true colors?
    But I find that unlikely, since he was already inbeded with the service already, long before the Empire came to be.

    Hey guys, I know I am kinda late but I have a question. So in the video it was mentioned that Yularen witnessed Darth Vader force choking his co-worker, though it was said that he didn't know Palpatine was a Sith Lord while in contrast he believed that the Emperor was still trying to end the corruption and it seems he thought that the jedi order had actually betrayed the Galactic Republic. Having all above in mind how it is possible that Yularen didn't questioned his loyalty to Palpatine when he saw what should be equivalent to his eyes as a jedi (unless he knew Vader was a Dark Jedi which should have made him even more suspicious) being in such a high Position in the Galctic Empire?

    • @gingerdragon9285
      @gingerdragon9285 Před 6 lety

      GreEkTerR0r U-I to answer your question was that it was publicly announced that Darth Vader is a loyal subject to the emporer. During episode 3 no clones questioned him either. So its probably around the sametime as that.

According to the latest Empire's End book, Jar Jar was exiled from his people and ostracised by the people of Naboo for his role in helping Palpatine became Emperor (He was the one who propose granting Palpatine emergency power in Ep 2). He lost his Gungan representative position and became a street performer for refugees kids on Naboo. While the kids love him, the adults ignore him, paralleling real life audience's reaction to Jar Jar.

Rear admiral lower half rear, admiral upper half, vice admiral, admiral, and fleet admiral. Which is a 5 star admiral. Only used in war time. The same goes for generals 5 ranks of generals.
