  • ● I went on a trip to the National Nature Reserve Divoká Oslava. (Wild Oslava).
    Route
    ● I started in the town of Náměšť nad Oslavou, from where I followed the red tourist sign. Once the path descends into the valley it is marked as: only for fit hikers, impassable in bad conditions! There are a lot of stones that have to be climbed over sometimes with the help of chains. Lamberk Castle is located on this tourist sign. I reached a place called Pod Vlčím kopcem (Under the Wolf hill) and following the blue tourist sign I went up to Vlčí Kopec (Wolf Hill) where there is a hunting lodge. And from there back to Náměšť nad Oslavou following the green tourist sign. Sedleck Castle and several waterfalls are located on it. Altogether it was 24.9 km / 15.4 mi.
    National Nature Reserve Divoká Oslava
    ● The Divoká Oslava National Nature Reserve is located in the Vysočina region on the river Oslava from Náměšť nad Oslavou to Skřipina. This is a deeply incised river valley where the river makes its way through very hard granulite rocks. This was manifested by the formation of numerous rock formations, which in many places give the Oslava valley the appearance of a canyon. In the valley there are several cottage settlements, a mill, castle ruins (Lamberk, Sedlec). Above the valley is the Gloriet gazebo and the side stream Divoká Rokle (Wild Ravine) with numerous rapids and small waterfalls (You can see everything in the video). The subject of protection are natural forest ecosystems of floodplain forests, oak forests, scree forests, beech trees, heat-loving oak forests, acidophilic oak forests and dry pines. Invertebrates are especially protected in the territory of the reserve. The Divoká Oslava National Nature Reserve was established on December 1, 2019.
    Thanks for watching.
