Uakari Lodge

A floating lodge located inside a reserve, Uakari is also the name of an endemic white monkey found only in this region of the Amazon. The lodge integrates with its surroundings, the largest area of flooded forest on the planet. The majority of the staff comes from local riverside communities, and guests have the opportunity to learn from them how is it possible to live in an area where the Amazon river rises 14 meters every year. The accommodations are simple but very comfortable, and the privileged location allows for more chances of wildlife sighting during the tours.
