This marketing is 10/10. Clever and low budget; I'm sure James Franco is having a lot of fun talking to people as Tommy.

The only audio book I'd ever listened to was The Disaster Artist after my brother recommended it to me on the strength of Greg's Tommy voice. We recently saw the movie and were both thoroughly impressed with Franco's performance. The movie is essentially a linear adaptation of the book with less emphasis on the movie and more focus on Tommy and Greg's friendship. If The Disaster Artist ends up winning any awards the ironic circle will have been completed.

its definitely not a linear adaptation, it was as linear as Ed Wood was as a biopic.

The laught is horrible, but otherwise it's a great gag.
