    Whoa, this begs questions... I'm running Fralin single coil jazz pickups now--they sound great--, but I've been looking for info and a demo of the Fralin split coil jazz pups. A series of comparative demos of Fralin pup configurations would be great, assuming the tonal differences aren't too subtle to capture. Does or will Fralin make/sell this dummy coil to add to a Fralin single coil configuration--or are the split coil jazz pups the culmination of this idea in a production form?

      @@jennyfralin357 Cool. Thank you. I submitted related information and three questions about the split J pickups via the online contact form on the Fralin website a few hours ago.

    I have two of the first type of squires and i love the fat necks. In one of the comments below you said you cut your pickups to fit the existing holes in the bass, do you sell them that way? Did you make a cover for them or use a four string cover? The pickups in my squire sound pretty good but they are sealed and i would not be able to use the stock pickup covers . Thanks

    Not pickup related, but what strings are the flatwounds?

    • @TheFunkmachine89
      @TheFunkmachine89 Před 8 lety +1

      These are fenders.

    • @lindyfralin3868
      @lindyfralin3868 Před 8 lety +1

      The bass is a Fender, the pickups are ours.

      This bass was routed for 4 string sized pickups so we cut the ends off of our 5 string pickups to fit.

      +Lindy Fralin but the strings are fender flatwound, true? that was his question.

    Dummy Coil?

    • @donnnick
      @donnnick Před 4 lety +1

      Ernie Leblanc: Into the Bass put a coil of wire spun the opposite way as done with a humbucker. However unlike the humbucker you don’t hook up the wire, obviously doesn’t have to be wound as precisely or with as quality of material but I’m sure they do a great job with their pickup guard
