TARTARUS DETHRONED?! - Playing Slaughterhouse by IcedCave [TOP 1 EXTREME DEMON]

After over 20 MONTHS since Tartarus was verified and placed on the demonslist, a level that is unanimously agreed by top players to be harder than it has been verified. SpaceUK, a recently prevalent player, has verified Slaughterhouse by IcedCave, after a staggering 41 000 attempts, and I for one am incredibly impressed by this. Today, I will try it out in practice mode to give the level a go, and see if it truly is as hard as it is, and spoiler alert; it's really hard. All though I have a lack of extensive playing, so please take this with a grain of salt, it did feel harder than the likes of acheron, and firework, which I have previously covered. While I obviously am no authority to talk about this, that was my initial impression. All though, Slaughterhouse is significantly shorter than Firework at least. Huge congrats to Space for verifying, and icedcave for getting his level released after all these years.

Of all the levels that we expected would dethrone tartarus (eg: firework, aod, etc.), no one thought Slaughterhouse would be the one to do it.

Slaughter house is like one of the few levels that need a new rating above extreme demon.
The difficulty gap between Cataclysm and Slaughterhouse is bigger than the difficulty gap between easy and insane levels, and they're both the same demon rating

I find it more sad than anything. He was a huge inspiration and idol for many in the community and was so respected and beloved because he was doing things no one else could. There was no way most of us could have foreseen the truth. It’s also even more of a shame because he genuinely was so talented, he just chose to throw away his potential for short-term clout.

@@lilcnbt8332 as a heavy star grinder who has done over 80% of the 3-7 star levels I severely disagree. My experience on extremes is pretty much non existent, but I do know through videos the experience of the main and extended demons and no extreme looks worse than slaughterhouse. It certainly does not look better than a lot of the featured levels, it would be hard to find it looking better than one in the last year. Especially the 8-9 star levels usually tend to have baller visuals and gameplay and I've played so many non rated insanes that are legitimately looking impressive but don't meet the standards. No slaughterhouse does not look even remotely close to the standard of nowadays featured levels. It doesn't deserve a rate nor a feature based on the presentation of the level as a whole, not even close. The only reason this would get rated is because of the impressiveness of the achievement, but that's it.

@@cosmo1248 conical is extremely old and wouldn't be rated in 2021 so it doesn't count. It's the obvious example everyone gives. I've beaten so many terrible stereo madness, back on track, can't let go remakes that are way worse than the original but got rated cause of how the game was in the early ages. Saying slaughterhouse should be rated cause of conical depression bring rated is an extremely poor example. Conical depression was verified 5 and a half years ago it's VERY obvious that the game standards have increased by a tenfold from then.

There was already Arcturus which isn't rated though, sonic wave infinity was put at #2 which is dumb, and trueffet which is almost impossible but was put at #3 for some reason, and The Golden is debatable. This video came out a year ago right.? It’s insane to think that more people have been able to come close to beating it and beating it. Even some mobile players have gotten ungodly close, I know one personally that has gotten to 76% with video proof and it’s just insane to think about. @@adoge4343 I know most top extremes have very unbalanced gameplay but at least there is some variation or something unique to it. Otherwise you just have a challenge pretty much. To me slaughterhouse looks more like an extended challenge than an actual level. To top things of this level is yet another generic hell themed level. I'm obviously not good enough to beat any top extremes but from my point of view most top extremes have decent gameplay for the eyes and this one is far of.

Well this does become easier with time, especially when getting runs, they become more consistent. Although it's just fucking impossible all the way through. The easiest part is from the ufo to the end. And it's really not hard at all when you get the click pattern down to your muscle memory. It becomes so much easier and a lot more consistent. What I mean is I'm counting my clicks and adjusting how hard or light I have to tap and just see if that works, and it does help eventually when you get it down perfectly, then it just becomes the easiest shit ever.
This will one day be my first extreme demon I will beat. You can see on my channel I have no extreme demons uploaded except for like noclip runs or normal runs. But not much progress. And no I haven't beaten any extreme demons and decided not to upload them to make it look like Slaughterhouse is my first extreme demon. I decided to do this as a first extreme not for attention or prove that I'm better than a lot of players who have done really hard levels and just show them up, but rather more of proving that anything is possible if you set your mind to it. I have put 130k+ attempts so far and I decided to do this from January this year.
This is a jump from Beetle by Cirtrax, if your wondering. Wish me luck this is going to be a long journey for me.
