They definitely have preferences but will eat pretty much anything they find interesting ;) but due to their intelligence will get bored with too much of something, just like us ;) (The NPRS focus on the well-being of the animal over it's suitability as a pet). Gambians are only recommended for experienced rat owners as they can be very different in behaviour but an experienced owner will be more flexible in their treatment from their previous rattie knowledge. They know what they want and you'll need to be prepared to cope with that. All said and done....they incredible creatures to befriend providing a level of love , affection and intelligence (hehe) that will surpirse you every single day
Do you know if they get a long with Guinea Pigs Or not.
@@russelldeck4168 It's possible, although very dependent on the pouchie. If I had to say either way I'd say no as the possibility of injury to a guinea pig would be to high (and would probably kill the guinea pig of it happened).
@@ReiverBlue1971 Hi Matt thanks for your reply, So if I did get a Gambian it would be best to only let it out while the guinea pigs were in their cage.
@@russelldeck4168 Yes. I have four fancy does, a cat and three collies and that's what I do (clear the room then let her out)
Can they have yogurt or cereal (grains) with milk?
No added sugar or plain yogurt I mean.
Do they need vaccine(s)?
None at all :)
