I disagree, had it been any other country to have lost,SA supporters would have rubbed it into them because of all the slack the Boks take from most supporters of those teams.Tge ABs and Boks have always had the biggest rivalry and respect.Had we not won the WC, believe me,we would want the ABs to do it.

When you see the human side of these players just like we saw in Chasing the Sun you immediately give so much respect naturally because we as viewer feel like we getting to know these players. Irishman here. Can I just say many of us were embarrassed at ex-players/pundits writing off the All Blacks. It's extraordinary how former players who have played in World Cups know very little about these big occasions. Real fans knew dam well in all likelihood New Zealand would win that quarter-final. We were never favourites. How can a side that's never been beyond the last eight be favourites? We didn't want to play NZ in the quarters and they are the one side we don't want to play in the quarters if we get there in 2027. So please remember when those pundits waffle on and never learn their lesson the majority know what's really going on. We're a good side yes, you don't beat the All Blacks in a series without being a good side, but we knew they would turn up when it mattered most.

I'll tell you what i told my Irish training partner here in New Zealand . The Irish coach made a mistake by not resting players in the final pool game . Because of the streak and being number 1 in the world there was too much expectation to not lose and stay undefeated . But I believe if Ireland rested their best players for the quarter final , Ireland would be rugby world champions today .

Portuguese here, I think you guys were in a tough spot. One one side, you were the number 1 team and were favorites, having beaten the ABs in a series and the boks during the RWC, on the other hand, if you said you weren't favorites you would be considered "fake humble".
As a neutral, Ireland/France/NZ/SA were all on the same level, and both games could have gone either way. I still think France were slightly better than the rest, but it's a knock out tournament and the best team doesn't always win (ABs in 2007, for example) and there is nothing wrong with that

There is so much teams up north can learn from the All Blacks in defeat. They all wore the silver medals around their necks at the post game presentation, dispite the disappointment, they didn’t disrespect the game by not wearing them. I remember the England team in 2019 refusing to wear them and even recently in the champions cup final, Leinster not putting on their second place medals. People talk about small margins at the top level, this is the kind of mindset that tips you over onto the winning side. No doubt the Boks and All Blacks will continue to dominate in years to come, despite having smaller bank accounts. Not because they have a physical advantage or whatever people say, but because of their mindset and rugby values.

As an Ireland fan It’s ironic that the Irish players who were mouthing off and being arrogant in the previous meetings were the ones who disappeared in this game eg sexton and POM where as the humble ones like bundee and Keenan actually showed up.
I think if they hadn’t been so arrogant and disrespectful in that series that the kiwis wouldn’t have been as motivated to win this one
I’ve never in my life seen nz players celebrate a qf win like that so you know the Irish players must have been acting the fool . Reminded me of the 05 lions tour when the European media and players were b*tching constantly and inspired nz to try even harder.

What I am loving about this series is that for maybe the first time we are seeing some deep emotions coming from the boys and its great to see. That final is still hard to watch tho from a kiwi. One final thought is Aaron Smith our g.o.a.t. halfback?

I love Fozzy! I think of him as a great All Blacks coach and more to the men. I would have played or died for him, wearing that jersey, in my heart. Never seen a NZ coach cop so much nasty heat and hate by the NZ public trolls, disgusting. What he endured and kept it going, kept the team believing and together under intense scrutiny. Unlucky not to win the World Cup!

I am absolutely loving this series. I am a South African and a die hard Springbok supporter. I always had a HUGE amount of respect for the All Blacks. I think it is safe to say our two great teams are the greatest two sides to ever to it. As such the All Blacks are the only side against who I can stomach a defeat. Losing always sucks but when the All Blacks get the better of the Springboks I can tip my cap to a well rounded and spectacular group of super athletes.
I have a huge amount of respect for your team. Your great rugby history and what you have been able to achieve.
I think the rivalry between our two great rugby nations is one of the most beautiful things in the whole sporting world. On the field there are 30 players going hammer and tongs. Off the field there is nothing but respect.
I am also very grateful to the All Blacks. Simply for the mouthwatering rugby you have treated us to. I specifically recall Johannesburg 2013 as one of the best games I have ever watched. Or the 2015 Semi Final.
What a team! We here in South Africa have the saying that you underestimate the All Blacks at your peril. That has been proven true in the quarter finals against the Irish. The whole world somehow expected the Irish to win and forgot who the All Blacks are. How resilient you are and why you are such a class team. I hope you guys took that personal. I would have. I think you did because your performance on game day was absolutely marvellous and the boys held nothing back on the field.
I wish this fantastic team all the best and I cannot wait to see the awesome clashes that is to come between our two great teams.

Well NZ and SA showing once again why over the period of a 100 years+ they'll always be the teams to beat. The two best quarter finals ever played at a world cup, and it's not even close. Both games go into the vault of the sport, both teams up against seemingly impossible odds and then they both overcame it and shared a final. Well done to both teams!

I'm South African, and my respect and heart pours out to the All Blacks in the way the played their game at the 2023 RWC. Since their first game with France and their previous loss to Ireland in 2022, other rugby fans and pundits wrote the All Blacks off. But I had faith that they'd come back swinging and comeback hard. That quarter final game with Ireland was one of the best games of rugby I've ever seen in my life. I was so happy to support the All Blacks and that win was just so well deserved. Chef's kiss 😙👌🏾!
And to witness an All Blacks vs Springboks RWC final in my lifetime was such a privilege! I know our Boks won the cup, but even after they won and I'll still say it again; for the All Blacks to give that intense pressure play against the Boks without their captain; 14 men to 15, is world-class rugby. I was so devastated when Sam Cane got the red card, but the amazing feat to play almost 70% of the game without your captain and be so close to winning where you had your opponent nation's fans praying and crying out to God (myself included 😂) so the Boks can hold those 12 points until the game is over something to really pat yourselves on the back because no other nation could've done that in a final except New Zealand/Aotearoa! I honestly don't think that if Siya Kolisi got red carded and it we were all at equal players , the Boks would'nt have won that game, especially in the second half. The All Blacks would've handed our asses to us 😂. But even if it would have been devastating to lose, it would be an honor to lose to the All Blacks by the way they played throughout their RWC season, given the tough journey they had. So long as its not England 😂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿👎🏽.
For the Rugby World Cup 2027 in Australia, I want to see New Zealand/ Aotearoa' s name etched on the cup, it is just as deserving to win the cup. My blood runs green and gold, but the black and silver fern now hold a special place in my heart. I'll be rooting for you guys 🖤🤍!
