This is absolutely the best speech given at a National Prayer Breakfast. Eric puts his faith out there with conviction without condemnation.

Eric Mataxas is a brilliant practitioner of true civil discourse that was the hallmark of the best of America's founding fathers. Juxtapose Mr. Mataxis with the long list of cerebral, ethical and moral pygmies of both parties currently running for President.
As believers, that's the bedrock message we need to endorse across all denominations in this country and around the world. Amen brother Metaxas!

You should listen to Eric Metaxas when he spoke at the 2012 National Day of Prayer. It was great! I do not know if we could get him, but I think if we put our name in to his assistant, he may consider us when he needs another place to go and speak and his schedule is not filled up. We should be praying about this.
I never heard of Eric Metaxas until I bought his book and never researched who Eric really was. Yesterday I searched for videos on Bonhoeffer and found this. Amazing! Now, I am going to listen to all of his videos and read his books. I wonder if this touched Obama's heart?
Just listened to his interview with Patrick Coffin on Catholic Answers Focus. Awesome stuff. Just to inform, the message of loving our enemies is prayed at every Mass within the Lord's Prayer.

Talk about pressure! Say the name "Jesus" anywhere, and you can virtually set off people's teeth to grind. Here Metaxas' speech elucidates on the loving spirit of Jesus, alive in people's lives all to a room full of lifetime politicians, including "the most powerful man on earth," all the while injecting wonderful, spirit-filled, silly humor then citing stirring examples of such moral giants as Bonhoeffer and Wilberforce and then (spoiler alert!) wrapping up with a grand finale of "Amazing Grace," with harmonies, no less, -- whew, Metaxas, you are a tour de force! Yes, it was a speech to The National Prayer Breakfast but he could have easily, and safely, just phoned it in. Instead you climb the backside of the mountain to bravely shout The Absolute Truth from its very top. Glory be to Jesus and may God bless Metaxas in his fearless quest to help people feel God's kingdom on earth.
