If we're talking cat mechanics, this game blows Stray out of the water. This is like the Super Metroid to Stray's NES Metroid

Vinny doesn’t pay much attention when it involves cats.
There was also a game called catlateral damage roughly 10 years ago.
It wasn't open world I think but you did play as a cat that had to cause as much damage to a room as possible so I feel like it's a choker game.

I've always been a fan of cell-shaded graphics in games, it's a great choice for a light-hearted game.
My cat is strangely fascinated watching this game. I'm hoping she's not learning to knock stuff off shelves, or I will be forced to sue vinesauce incorporated for damages.

I played this game a few days ago. It was honestly a nice game taking a break from fps and horror games.
If it had more levels I'd totally play more of it. Anyways, cool to see Vinny tried it out!

The cat in this game looks like my cat, Trix, and acts exactly like him. No joke, when he does something he shouldn’t, he KNOWS. He’ll look at you and then hightail it out of there. He hasn’t done it in a long time, but I’ve stared down at him after stopping him from scratching one of our chairs, and he stared into my eyes, did a “mrrrrrp” then jumped up to my face with claws out. This game is the most accurate representation of cats in games ever, I especially love the junping and landing mrrrrrrps, very realistic!

About cats and water. There is a breed called the Van, or Turkish swimming cat, which loves water so much, owners have to keep their toilet lids down, othervise they jump in. The legend is that they fell out of the ark into the sea, and were saved by the hand of God, which accounts for their ginger markings (seen as a sacred sign).
I don't buy the cucumber thing for a second because my cats have brought in 3 snakes so far
there's also the fact people trick cats with cucumbers by putting it behind them while they're distracted. I'd jump and scream if someone put a snake behind me too
I immediately got the camera stuck in place after somehow sticking half of the cat underneath the blue trash can lid at the start of the game. Even after getting the cat free the camera stayed stuck. Still somehow less glitchy than most AAA games. 10/10 indie game.

thumbstick breaks on the controller that he has had problems with for 983 years, woah that was unexpected
It literally takes less than 5 mins to put a new thumbstick in, or get a new controller, he just doesn't care. I had stick drift on my Destiny edition controller. I swapped its guts out with another used controller and never had another problem. It was either do that or buy a new joystick for about $3 and solder it in.
"it takes 5 minutes" for someone who has done it a bunch and prepared a ton of things beforehand.

It takes practice but 5 minutes to replace a thumbstick is doable. 2 minutes each to disassemble/reassemble it, and 1 minute extruding from the Thumbstick Gland.

This game is if the developers took the basic concept of "Stray" and mixed it with the style and feel of "Hi-Fi Rush". Minus the rhythm game aspect.
Speaking of "Stray":
I will always and forever love "Stray". I don't care if people say it was janky or they weren't a fan of the way the story was handled or that it got boring too quick. To me it was perfection, with all it's imperfections, into one game. It's probably one of my top 3 favorite video games of all time.
That being said I do like that with the release of "Stray" more cat games are popping up. These adorable creatures deserve all the love and respect that is out there.
(side note: I'm not the biggest fan of this style of game that was used in "Untitled Goose Game". But I think I can live through this one because of the kitty :3)

How to get Vinny to like your game:
1. Be good. Some jank is acceptable, especially funny jank.
2. Put ducks in it.
When I used to eat bagels (in New York), I found that there were two kinds:
* Good bagels
* Bagels that became like glue in my mouth and were difficult to eat
I grew up in New York but no longer live there so... Pizza and bagels aren't so easy anymore.
Protip: seek out those dry foods you have trouble with because they become glue-like in your mouth and try them again but mixing in a little sip of water or tea with each bite. Preferably not cold.

We really met these tiny goblin creatures that ignore personal space, knock over all our shit and leave dead things in our shoes and collectively went "yes, these will be prefect friends.".
And I'm glad we did.

One cool thing about this game that I never saw mentioned anywhere in-game and haven't heard people talk about is that wearing certain hats will actually change how NPCs interact with you. For example, if you wear the hard hat, the construction worker won't kick you out of the construction zone. It's a fun little detail and it's actually helpful in certain parts.

I have a stupid black cat i saved from a broken down barn as a kitten that i named Bug. Shes got rocks for brains and has zero self preservation skills. Im convinced she wouldve thought a coyote would be a potential friend and gotten herself killed that way if i hadn't taken her. Shes gotten herself stuck in the walls of the house and has tried going into the oven when its on a couple times. Pretending this cat is her has made my experience 1000x more enjoyable

finished this 100% in one sitting the other day, only took a couple of hours. Very chill relaxing game, but way more glitches and jenk than it might seem, but that mostly added to the charm of the game.

I had a similar thing happen to my 8BitDo SNES-style controller. A piece of the rubber on the left stick just came off randomly, and not even while I was using the fucker. I tried gluing it back together but that didn't work out at all.
For as expensive as controllers are these days they sure don't seem to last.

This game is actually really fun, had a lot of fun playing it, I'm probably going to 100% complete it as well, it's just a really fun game to explore and do silly things as a cat, this game actually makes you feel like a cat, I love it

I played this before watching vinny I will say how much I liked it.
It was a good game very cute biggest issue I have with the game is it felt a little to easy wish there had been more hard parts.
I hope vinny likes it but I have a feeling he may not be a fan since it leans heavy into the cute cat stuff and less being a huge jerk to people :)
