- www.vladtv.com - Charlamagne tha God spoke with VladTV about Papoose calling out Jay Z for flinching while he was being attacked by Solange in an elevator at a Met Gala afterparty in NYC.
The famed radio and television personality doesn't see anything wrong with Jay flinching in order to avoid being hit, and believes that Papoose is trying his best to get Hov to compete with him lyrically.
After revealing that he doubts Jay Z will ever respond to Pap, Charlamagne moved on to discuss Papoose's talents and what could make him a better artist.
Rappers gotta realize personality and presnece matters. Can have all the skills but it gotta be something folks can gravitate to.

That statement is if you allow ONLY stats to determine your opinion. With that theory, one could say, there is no one who never played in the NBA better than someone who did play in the NBA. But that is not the truth. There are people who under some circumstances could have played in the NBA and done well or okay but didn't. Not every mainstream artist is better than all mixtape or aspiring artist!
I disagree with him as well because if we're talking about all the great rappers they've all had their great breakout record. Think about it I'm not gonna include the newer generation of rappers because these days rappers can make an easy corny song that will receive great attention, but papoose has cemented himself as a great rapper. He may be a great lyricist as a whole but (as a rapper) I don't think he's that great
I understand what Pap is doin', but Jay probably saw his lil' interview and kept movin'. He was like *I ain't thinkin' him.* Pap, do like y'all used to do and write a song that could potentially put some fire under his ass and make him respond. Right now, you just doin' interviews and that ain't nothin'. Put some music out and hope it gets to Jay. Jay responds to people that are makin' moves. He is a prolific writer who collaborats with a wide range of artist and producers(big named) so it isn't far fetched to assume that he is making money as a ghost writer. Aside from the fact that he is doing shows. Although he may not get 30 racks a show like an average commercial artist, he may be pulling in 5-10 per show.
