I bought mine a year ago. Nothing but problems loading line, and when finally loaded, it cuts line short where it sucks it up inside the spool. I gave up and trashed it. I'll go back to my old brand.
Sorry to hear that. Wonder what was causing the issues? Thanks for watching and letting us know you had an issue with yours. So far I haven’t had any issues with mine and neither have the Mrozinski’s but you never know.
How heavy is it ? Nice review . I’ve used 4 stroke petrol ( Gas ) trimmers for years , and I Find there too heavy for me now as I have back problems. This trimmer look Appealing
So the weight with the Ak-10 battery is 7.7 lbs. Back problems is one of the reasons I made the switch to this string trimmer and it really helps a lot. I hope this helps you.
@@DsHomesteadI'm getting one I had a 4 stroke gas trimmer for 10 years never started easily pain in the butt and have bad shoulder and back my stihl dealer was helpful and cut me a half price deal on 2nd battery 🔋 so I get 40 to 50 min run time. Made in Germany 🇩🇪
@@aussieburn777 I know I really like mine it’s so much easier than the gas version and lighter. Good luck with it.
Hi handsome. I just got my 2023 Honda gx35 4 stroke versaattach power head. I love it . Have you tried a Honda weed trimmer?
No I haven’t tried out the Honda GX 35. When I looked at those it’s about 15.5 pounds so about double the weight of this one. It’s gas which I was searching for battery powered this time because I already have a gas one. But the Honda small engines are hard to beat so I’m guessing you have a good one. If I do look for a new gas one I’ll have to see if I can find one close by to go check out. Thanks
does the handle turn? For edging - or I need to rest the whole thing on my shoulder?
No the handle doesn’t turn but it’s actually very easy to turn it to edge and not have to have it on your shoulder. Hope that helps.
Do you know if the head can be changed? I have this exact weed eater. Mine has the autocut 2-2.
Yes, you can change the head on this weed eater model! Depnding on which head yours has installed it might take a puller to get the old head off after removing the clip.
I have one used it 4 times and motor locked I bought it used and mine only used the .065 line. I would not recommend this to no one
@@russellatwell2000 did you take it back or contact Stihl? It should be covered. I’ve had mine for going on 3 years now and not had any problems with it. It works as good today as the day I got it. I also know other people that own it and haven’t had any issues with theirs either.
as I said I bought mine 2nd hand so no warranty
@@russellatwell2000 ok I didn’t see that previously sorry about that but still might be worth a call to Stihl
