I even sold my e-piano which i played for years just to buy a guitar.I am teaching it myself. Thanks for making my day. :) What really started the momentum for me was learning songs that I loved because it was so enjoyable and made the learning process less 'grindy'. The basics are so necessary to make this happen but once you see progress it becomes addicting to learn. Recording yourself is also a very good practice method and a way to track improvement!
