It's his own leg he is clawing into. I think he is referring to his Military service. The dark, the anxiety, him losing himself, being controlled and manipulated and keeping it all to him self. I already thought he would go that way. I love him because he is a creative singer. He always has a shock factor but not over the top. His voice, his visuals, his dancing... He is the King of K-pop for me. I can't name one single song that I don't like by him. He just has this way of luring you in and before you know it, you are adicted. I'm so glad he is back! I got into him with his solo work, I think it was Idea and I was sold in an instance. I like the more edgy and special stuff in K-pop. Then I got to know his personality and it only got better from there. I will never get tired of his songs. Listened to his older stuff every day while he was gone and I never got sick of it. Taemin for president hahahaha :)

@@Rvbyxno he said guilty is about bad love. the kinda love that is toxic you feel bad about loving. he said the song is not about his own story however he mentioned the concept is about taking control of things he didn’t have control before aka his idol career in early years. he’s been forced to do a lot of things and now he’s reclaiming those back.
He claws into his own legs for specific reasons. At least half of the video meaning has been lost in translation, and the disconnects are also by design, so don't blame yourself for being confused. This MV was a lot to digest for me the first time, but damn it's good. The song is also haunting and great. Different. I was aware of Taemin ever since I got into kpop. I always liked his stuff, but after criminal and most of all his albums Never Gonna Dance Again 1 and 2, that's when I was like: this man is a genius. He just knows what's right for him. For me, there's only handful of artist i find really exciting and he's definitely one of them.
I’m always so excited for new Taemin choreo. It’s always something thing fresh from our Taemin-MJ. I love all the elements he brings together..mixing street and contemporary but so so fluidly…I think he was both strobing AND ticking as well as his locks and pops 😂His musicality is on another level..He swaps hitting the beat , to the lyrics, to the melody seamlessly. The concept, styling and vocals were gorgeous especially using his voice in different ways, whispers. Falsetto, chest voice, talking(rap) it was such a mishmash but at the same time flowed so well. I love all the album but as a dancer I’m just totally fan-girling the choreography. Can’t wait for the performance video and live shows. Taemin the King of Choreo. ❤❤❤🎉

Taemin always shows us his artistry and we certainly can't complain about his return, it shows that even though we think he is good, he comes back and shows that he is even better. This man is crazy

as a shawol since 2009 its always such a treat to see people reacting to shinee. they are not called the princes of k-pop for nothing. seeing taemin evolve over the years has been one the most amazing things i've gotten to experience when it comes to music and performance. no one is doing it like him, he is truly on a lane all his own.

I stumbled upon SHINee back in 2010. Have been a fan since. They are my nr 1 favorite group 💖 Taemin has been my nr 1 favorite dancer just as long. It was mainly his dancing that originally caught my eyes when discovering them, I actually didn't like the music at first as it was to "strange and different" being in Korean but the dancing in the mv's intrigued me and the songs grew on me 😉 When he went solo he also became my nr 1 solo artist (who is also in a group, the nr 1 solo artist place overal he shares with another artist).

OM MY GOODNESS MAN, OMG! i loved this video and the lyrics of the song are intense and the story within. Your analogy of the choreography gave it a greater meaning. Watching and listening to your analogy gave it even greater meaning. I do absolutely love the choreography and could understand his struggles, but the other movements that you explained were eye opening. I really do enjoy the song, lyrics, choreo, message. I have to say again I liked your analogy best one yet.
The part where hes hugging the persons leg and causing injury to himself is how he grew up without love or attention and how he interprets love and not knowing the true meaning of love thats the reason for his internal demons (my own opinion.) The music and video are a work of art. Thank you putting the emphasis on the choreo to explain how it coincides with the lyrics. You went a lot deeper than i could see.

I haven't really dug deeper into this one yet as I'm just enjoying it immensely right now, but somehow I feel like Taemin is giving us a very real picture of how horrendous his military service was in the very beginning, on top of how the medications made him feel (inhaler), and fighting against himself and his demons to stick through it despite how awful it was. Remember, he never said a word about wanting a transfer. The decision was made for him by military personnel for his well being. That says a lot. Telling this story, if what I am just speculating is true, may be very cathartic for him. However, this is just the first impression that hit me.
BTW: Taemin was clinging to some authority figure's leg, but digging into his own flesh because he was the one wearing the shorts.
Us Taemints are smart as always! I knew I'd find someone else picking on the details of the visuals, they're definitely depicting his struggles with anxiety and his overall experience during that time in a twisted yet artistic way, exactly what you'd expect from him but yet unexpected anyway because it surely is not easy for him to relive it all just to make, once again, art from his own rides through darkness... but was is the artist to do if not art from it all? 🤧 I'm mesmerized once again, and never leaving 🤩

I got into taemin the last week of November in 2017.i was listening to my BTS radio on iheartradio and I heard this song and I was like wow this is so good.i looked to see who it was and the song was called and it was I'm crying by taemin.later that night I looked on CZcams and looked up taemin and I watched move and thirsty music videos and became an instant fan..I was like not only is his music good,not only is his voice amazing,but he is also very attractive..as I got more into him I got to notice that he is an amazing dancer..I love all his videos but if I absolutely have to pick a favorite of all favourites it would have to be move..it's just something about it😍😍 as for Shinee I got into them in Feb 2018..I was going to listen to them not long after I got into taemin but by the time I was going to do it the news broke about jonghyun passing away and I didn't know if they were going to continue or go their separate ways..so when it was said that they were going to continue I decided to listen to them the first video I watched from them was tell me what to do and I've been a fan since😆
To me, this video feels like a statement about the Kpop idol industry. How they train, contort, and make you into the industry image of an idol. It’s a love hate relationship between him and the industry. He started young, temptation to succeed was there, his training was grueling and watched many of his peers go through hell and even mental breakdown (which he himself seems to suffer from at times). But to survive and be him, he came out of it not molded but himself. Contorted and shaped but still retained his voice, and with that he loses bits of his sanity, and his sacrifices and losses are painful but the success that comes from it is sweet. Hence, he is guilty of his own torture. That’s my take on the video and the lyrics

The music video and the song's lyrics actually have a double meaning, Taemin tries to say (or express) what the depression and anxiety caused by his time in the mandatory army caused him. He shows in gestures and in frames that he shows this and at the same time that he tries to tell us this, he camouflages this report with his hypnotic dancing skills to somehow mislead the Korean media.
