  • I haven't been inside the Packard Plant in a few years. Security is pretty visible nowadays. The new owners have a lot of work ahead of them if they are going to revamp this place.

What a shame that such an Iconic Plant should end up like this. Packard Cars were some of the Best Cars ever built! The Greatest years for American Cars. Everyone wanted a Packard! As a Kid I dreamed of driving one! Ask The Man Who Owns One.

Some investment group bought this hulking wreck of a complex and plans on renovating it for mixed use over many years... that is one heck of a project. Nice drone overview

It'll never happen. Here it is 2020 and still nothing has happened. Detroit is dead.

What do you do with all that deteriorated square footage?? I don't know anything about real estate development but I would imagine you rehab 1 or 2 buildings for the history/cool factor and bulldoze the rest.

imatatmnig not if the land is already completely depreciated..."external depreciation" is said to be permanent. Notice there's nothing else remotely viable there.

A lot of it is already gone, about 5 buildings.

What would be completely fucked up if somebody will build a shopping mall in this plant. God forbid! Packard... this is sad!

This complex was abandoned for more than 65 years. It's time to implode the skeleton and create a park, or a model residential community.

  • @spotifyseascapessmoothjazz

Closed since 1958. Why is it still there? Detroit would be a far nicer place if eyesores like this were demolished.
