3 Days in Lake County- Kyosho nitro Sand Scorpion meltdown

- Driving and fixing rc cars for 3 days straight...these little bastards won't let me sleep!🤣
I brought 5 cars and got only 1 to run right! Better bring ALL the gear AND backups!
Situation 1- I messed up the used slipper pad for the Savage and couldn't re-use it for the Savage so I couldn't get the spur gear job done and get the truck out on the campsite crawling trail. 0 out of 5 for run time with this model.
Situation 2-The Slayer has always had issues so I'll have to rebuild that whole car completely to get it sorted. It will get done! 1 out of 5 for run time with this model
Situation 3- I broke 'Trigger Happy' the 1/5 scale very early in the game but really enjoyed the small run I got out of it. I messed with the carb too much on this run trying to get it started and looking back at the video, I think it was running too rich. The dust might have been clogging the air filter too also richening it out. 2.5 out of 5 run time for this model, it ran but the run got cut too short.
Situation 4- The steering in the Revo has been way off for awhile and I will have to explore some fixes for that. It didn't drive straight during my night run on the little night oval run. 2.5 out of 5 for run time with this model. It ran very dependable, but couldn't drive straight.
The nitro Scorpion ended up being the car that ran the most. It did great in the sand with the paddles and locked out diff with the one million weight fluid. 5 out of 5 for run time with this model. This was the run I have been looking for since 2018 when I first got it. I finally found a spot for these to shine. I have 2 other Scorpions waiting to take a bite here.
I worked on these cars all day and night for 3 days straight. It was fun trying to get them all to run and I'll be right back at it again next time I hit the desert.
All in all it was a great weekend in Christmas Valley, Oregon and a wonderful place to celebrate Memorial day 2024. A big salute to the veterans that keep us free to do these types of activities in our great nation.

Thanks Tony, I'll try to get out on the sand way more often now that I know I can drive out my truck out there with the gear and not get stuck!😅😅

Super rad crazy Dad, the sand took a toll and really beat up the gear but it was all worth it! The Jato run down to the Mcdonalds was off the chain! We have to spread the fun and show people our gear!
