Underrated film. You appreciate Damon older you get and Angelina is stunning and an amazing actress as well. I can't believe Bob only directed this and a Bronx Tale! Both are great films would have loved to see more pictures by him!
This is such a terrific, criminally underrated film.
I agree completely. Ebert and other reviewers bemoaned the lack of excitement/adventure a la James Bond films, but that was entirely the point. The real world of espionage wasn't a spy adventure novel. It's a cold, seedy, dark underbelly of our democracy, dispassionate to the point of inhumane and corrosive to all it touched.
I'm distracted by Angelina's beauty. Wow.
The project DeNiro is talking about where him, Eric Roth and Scorsese would work together is Killers of The Flower Moon--it took a mere 17 years for that project to be developed and produced into a movie.

I met Matt Damon a few times (in Australia) through my role in news-media. Nice guy.
Jimmy Kimmel would say otherwise... AND HE IS on TV so we have to believe him 🤣
The old man asking the questions needs to let these professionals talk more. He interrupts them with another question before they can even finish the first question. 🤦🏻♂️. But yes helluva movie. I watch and study this movie at least 3-4 times a week and learn something new from it every time 🙂
i always say the same thing. makes these interviews almost unbearable. i actually met the writer James Ellroy recently, author of LA Confidential, who was a guest on Charlie Rose one day, at a reading for his new book. i got there a couple hours early and Ellroy was already there so we got to chat for a good 20 minutes. one of the things i mentioned was his interview here and how annoying Mr. Rose was with his interruptions. Ellroy told me it was because he was literally drunk on set. Ellroy said Rose got up to go to the bathroom and Ellroy looked in his coffee cup and saw he was drinking vodka at the table. explains a lot.
I miss this show so much!!!

Deniro is a phenomenal actor but he's gotta be the least eloquent/articulate actor I've ever listened to. It was painful.

Very underwhelming interview overall, not because of the host or the guests, but because of this three guest format. Horrible. The guests all seem uncomfortable, awkward, and generally not interested in being there. The host however seems unbothered by it so I'm guessing it was his idea to have three a-line actors sharing a stage.
