This could be a thing highkey. Predator only fights who's worthy, they're on a hunt. Boba Fett would be primary target for sure. Idk if he'd win against a vet pred. However, he'd 100% hold his own and earn respect

Boba's a lot craftier when it comes to fighting. This is exactly the play style of Mandalorian armor, which was basically made to cheat in fights against Jedi. A nobler/stupider Mandalorian like Din Djarin or Pre Vizsla would have a much harder time against a Predator (especially Vizsla, who stubbornly insists on going sword to sword with more powerful opponents like Kenobi and Maul). The Fetts, however, fight A LOT dirtier, especially against enemies who are either superpowered or physically bigger.

Tbh this really depended on what kind a predator they were gonna use. They should’ve used scar, dark, or even wolf for this match up since their pretty much on bobas level.

I don't understand why they wouldn't pit Boba against an elder predator or someone that had more experience. Since they stated that elder preds had centuries of both hunting and combat experience as well as more weapons and knew how to efficiently use them. But oh well...animation was pretty cool.

They did, they just didn’t use one in the animation. Possibly because they wanted to use the more iconic and most known version of the Predator, but the animation is just for fun, so it doesn’t matter how the fight itself goes down.
Death battle tends to do that, use wealer versions of a character to ensure they lose look at ben 10 vs green lantern still one of the worst and most controvertial fights the made hal his prime version but made ben 10 his kid version that is much less experienced and killed him off in a way that shouldnt be possible

They did use an elder Predator, they just used the Jungle Hunter model for the animation.

it depends on the predator they live in a social hierarchy if ye was fighting an ancient elite it’d be different they know how to make weapons from broken ones also predators aren’t keen on fighting upfront instead they’d lay a series of traps and lead u towards them also they’re are more features than heat vision in the predator mask they have a heart beat sensor which he would have used in the ring of fire

I mean, to be fair, the ending was fucked as soon as they showed Predator not being able to see Boba amongst the flames. Their mask gives them their thermal vision and lock-on targeting, not their eyes. They scripted Predator to not see in the flames (by them somehow having thermal vision with the mask off) and basically handed the win to Boba. Top level Predator against Boba 999/1000 is going to go to Predator.
Depends which Predator you go by. Idk why but in some movies they can and can't see with the mask. They really didn't have too much to work off.

Their natural vision is thermal/heat though they show you in the first movie with arnold when the predator takes it's mask off it shows you what it see's when it takes off the mask and it shows it's natural sight is heat vision.

@@robertharris6860 The fire screwing with his vision makes sense but the ending felt rushed, having lived for hundreds of years and living on a planet that's half irradiated desert and lava streams, they wouldn't act all dazed and confused when surrounded by fire. They would absolutely know what's happening and adapt. If I recall, no Predator in media has had trouble with fire surrounding them except for Mr. Black, who still beat the crap out of Royce while surrounded by fire. Only losing because he was shot by a sniper rifle round from behind and jumped right after. Just felt wrong having the Predator look so clueless.

The one thing I don't like about death battle is that they mix and match different versions of characters so that one is very clearly stronger than the other. Legends boba fett has a lightsaber. Canon Boba fett hasn't even been seen welding the lightsaber. That alone. The one thing that helped him fight off predator he doesn't even have in Canon. Now regardless I still think he would've won but due to his flamethrower messing with the preds vision but still

Boba having the lightsaber is pretty plot armor imo, because in the movies he never got one and it was only in one comic, so to say he’d have a lightsaber for the fight is a reach at best. Boba is also pretty cocky so I’d think off rip the predator would catch him off guard and probably kill him because bobas armor has a lot of weak points especially around the neck area.
Edit: and don’t even get me started on a predalien or an evolved predator, it would be over for boba the second the fight starts.

I call cap on a lot of what they said lol it seems like they used an inexperienced predator against bobba, as you know xenomorphs can adapt to any DNA from where they are born. making them way more deadly than your fodder ass force users. An experienced predator can also kill a lot of xenomorphs and even queens.
Not to mention if this is a death battle then predator would be using his actual combat gear not his hunting gear, and the last thing, predator can only not see in the fire when he has his mask, that's how Arnold confused him in the first movie, when the mask is removed he can see just fine even with fire.
So L battle plot, they gave bobba fett all of the advantages to win in a specific way.

Personally I disagree with this as they said they’d use and elder/elite predator and they only gave him one extra weapon as a result as well as leaving out some stuff. But I do agree boba would win against a basic jungle hunter and this was a good fight
I was pretty certain, that the predator would &/or could have more likely chance of winning. But, they used like a younger & average one of their kind up against bobba. So, I was little surprised & even little disappointed with bobba's death battle victory.
Ok sso clearly you didn't pay attention to how they explained the predator. Any predator that fails a hunt or loses a fight they are usually killed by their kind as a sign of humiliation but the elder predator have centuries of combat experience and have also never lost a fight in their lives as their lifespan is very high and that was the type of predator they compared boba too not a younger and average predator that you state

I know they said they’d use an elder, but all they gave it was experience and the dark plasma scythe. Didn’t even mention different types of plasma casters (like dark plasma which automatically adjusts power based on the mass and density of its target for a one hit ko), their artificial xenomorph acid, or even the fact that they have fought entire wars against other predators and have taken hits like that from a fully charged plasma caster and treated it like a mere inconvenience. I fully agree fett would win against a regular jungle hunter, which is really what they used here with an extra weapon, but I believe he would become a trophy to an elder
