I'm really enjoying them! They help a lot when I'm working for long hours on my computer :) I haven't tried driving in them!

@@SophieMelissa jub8891 is right about blue light blocking glasses helping to reduce glare when driving at night. You should try them for yourself and you will notice the difference as well. If you even wanted them to be slightly more helpful you should order another pair with a slight distance prescription in them. I'm a retired optician. I was an optician for may years until I retired back in 2019. I know this because something you may not be aware of is that many people actually has perfect vision doing a regular eye exam in normal lighting, but they don't see quite as well after dark for things like driving. It's called "night blindness" and it simply means that even though they seem to have perfect 20/20 vision their ability to see in the dark is slightly limited. Doctors have found that a weak prescription of distance is just enough to allow them to see better at night. So if you don't feel that you are able to see as well as you do during the day it's possible that you could have a bit of "night blindness" But even if this isn't a problem wearing a very weak prescription won't do any harm to your eyes and you will actually see slightly better than you currently do now. If you do feel like things aren't quite as easily seen when driving at night then you should make an appointment to get your eyes examined and be sure to tell them the reason you're getting your eyes examined is because you don't feel like you're seeing quite as well as you should be after dark when driving. Doctors can't test you for this condition and can only take your word for it. So you need to tell them this issue. After they do the normal vision testing the doctor will push the "phoropter in front of your eyes and have you read several lines near the bottom of the eyechart. What he / she is doing is refracting your eyes with a weak -.50 SPH prescription to make sure that you're able to see those lines even better than you did before. He / she will write you a prescription for glasses and you can then pick out the glasses you want. They will also want you to get an AR coating (anti-reflective) on your glasses, that's something your blue light blocking glasses has on them which is why they should help you with driving at night, Your insurance should pay the larger portion of your glasses cost by the way. You will be told to wear your glasses when driving at night and probably in a movie theater as well. But they will also tell you that it's okay to wear them anytime you want to or feel you might benefit from wearing them. The other way you can get glasses with a weak prescription is very much like how you got your blue light glasses from TIJN. You simply go on line only this time you click on "optical" Then you click on "single vision", then if you want the blue light coating you click on that or if you only want them for driving at night then you can click on "classic" that also includes the AR coating you want in your glasses. Now click on "submit" Now it will ask you to add your prescription and you want to clock on "enter right now" Now the next thing is to put in the prescription that a doctor would prescribe you and that's very easy to do as well. You need to scroll to -.50 under where it says SPH and enter that for your right and left eyes. You don't need to enter anything in the CYL or axis spaces. Leave them blank. Now for PD enter 58 since this is such a weak prescription that should be fine. That's it except for paying for your glasses. I would suggest that you may want to check out the Zenni Optical site because their glasses are even less expensive than TIJN is. You should find a very nice selection of glasses that will include single vision prescription lenses, which is what you want in your glasses, for just $6.95. You then add in your -.50 SPH prescription and PD the same as you would with TIJN., Then if you want the blue light blocking coating you add that on. It's called Blokz and it's only $16.95. and it also includes tat AR coating you need on your glasses. Shipping is only $5.00. So including taht weak prescription and the blue light blocking coating your glasses would only cost you $24.00 plus $5.00 shipping.

I was an optician for many years. i retired a few years ago. I totally enjoyed watching your review of your "TIJN" glasses with the blue light blocking coating. The glasses you ordered are really very cute on you and you look really cute wearing them as well. They seem to fit you pretty well. As an optician I was very surprised with how easily to adjusted to wearing glasses for the first time in your life. It usually takes people longer to get used to wearing glasses. Now it did help a bit because they didn't have a prescription that your eyes need to adjust to. But usually that's not as much of an issue as just getting used to wearing glasses. I think you were even surprised at how comfortable wearing glasses really can be. Didn't it feel a little strange to be looking through lenses in front of you eyes? Usually the first few days of wearing glasses is spent with a lot of cleaning of the glasses. Was that the same for you or were you able to go without feeling the need of cleaning them all that often. You apparently wore them the whole time everyday since you even wore them out in public. I'm sure that seemed a bit strange to you and you managed to find one of the things lots of glasses have found out since the pandemic started. Wearing a mask will cause your glasses to fog up and suddenly it became a problem seeing through your glasses. I should also warn you since you must not have had it happen to you but going from being in the cold into a warm building will also cause your glasses to fog over very quickly as well. Wearing glasses in the rain isn't a fun thing either by the way. But on the plus side wearing glasses will keep the rain out of your eyes and will even keep the wind from hitting your eyes. So their are some disadvantages as well as some advantages as well. So i'm really curious to know. If you were to need to start wearing prescription glasses tomorrow would you feel better a bout it after wearing glasses for the week lie you did? Something tells me that you really wouldn't mind it much at all if at all. You seemed to do just fine wearing glasses much the way of someone that had been wearing glasses for some time. You really didn't say what type of work you do exactly but you apparently spend a good deal of time with your eyes staring at numerous screens. so no wonder it's starting to effect your eyes. Your eyes are only able to accept so much before they can't do it comfortability anymore. I have to tell you that even wearing blue light blocking which is sure to help a bit your eyesight is almost certain to be effected permanently in the not too distant future. So it's probably good that you're already getting used to wearing glasses full time. Something i read a while ago was about a major university that did study back in 2018 that found that 74% of the population now either wears glasses or contacts. The same university did the same study back in 2008 and at that time the percentage was 62%. That's a huge increase in just 10 years time. Ophthalmologist as well as optometrist were in agreement that the main reason for such an increase was due to nearly everyone's eyes being so over exposed to so many screens. So for now anyway you're in the minority if you still in fact have perfect vision. But the odds are against you being able to continue being in that minority much longer. Because you spend so much time staring at screens you should be getting your eyes checked annually. Do you mind me asking you when did you last have your eyes checked? I will tell you that do that type of close work you're most likely to become shortsighted, nearsighted here in the US, So if things aren't quite as clear and sharp when driving at night that's a symptom of being shortsighted just so you know. I do have some tips for you which should help with the eyestrain and headaches. Have you ever heard of the "20- 20- 20 rule"? The 20-20-20 rule means that when working with your eyes staring into a screen that every 20 minutes you look away from the screen for 20 seconds with your eyes focusing on something at least 20 feet away from you. You need to b e doing this so your eyes have a chance to change their focus point from a screen a short distance in front of your eyes to something at a great distance away. Another tip I have for you will make you laugh at me and think i'm crazy, but I assure you i'm not crazy and it is really serious. Pretty much everyone gets so involved in what their working on when staring at a screen that they actually forget to blink their eyes as often as they normally do. Blinking is what keeps your eyes moist and lubricated so by not blinking or not blinking as often is why your eyes start to feel dry, sore and tired out and you get headaches from eyestrain. Several things you found out by wearing your blue light glasses all week is that wearing glasses is really very comfortable, you were adjusted to wearing glasses without any problem at all and you look really cute wearing glasses. Learning those things should make it very easy for you when you do get prescribed with glasses.

I've been a designer for 18 years and get eye strain, blurred vision in the evening once I'm getting tired and sometimes terrible migraines. I was prescribed glasses years ago but they seem to make it worse, so I'll definitely be looking at these. Thanks.
