I believe I am speaking for many of the youngest siblings in family’s when I say this in most of the youngest siblings case is not true, especially for me, the youngest sibling in my family who is accused of being an “attention hog” when I speak a little louder than my normal voice at family gatherings and what not, because in my family’s eyes I already get to much attention for just technically living in general. I would also never snitch on my siblings as a child on purpose simply to get them in trouble, it would usually be the case of them hurting me was when I would tell my mother that something was going on but other than that I was quite a shy and quiet child. And my mother and father have both told me to my face that I was a mistake and just an accident they never wanted to have therefore they had no reason to care about me or worry, and even though I struggle with my mental health very much my father and mother both refuse to get me help because they do not believe I have any reason to struggle with my mental health and that my middle sister was more important than me because she was always the smarter one out of all of me and my other siblings. I also rarely start trouble because I have a very big fear of loud noises thanks to my father, (including yelling because he would constantly yell at me for no reason) and my mother is a very loud person so when she gets angry she tends to yell so I just do not make trouble that often, and if I may add to this I am also the one always getting blamed for everything that happens in my house no matter what it is, somehow it gets pinned on me. And, finally my father has forgotten many times that I am his child, texting me in a drunken state multiple times asking who I was and why my name and number where saved in his phone. Thank you for reading this, I apologize that it turned mostly into a vent but my main point is, some of us younger siblings have it harder than the others will ever know.

As a second child I can really relate to all of these like my younger brother only realized my existence when quarantined happened and my parents when my older sis got married.

Not for me. I’ve been more noticed by my parents more than my younger and older brother.
I believe I am speaking for many of the youngest siblings in family’s when I say this in most of the youngest siblings case is not true, especially for me, the youngest sibling in my family who is accused of being an “attention hog” when I speak a little louder than my normal voice at family gatherings and what not, because in my family’s eyes I already get to much attention for just technically living in general.
I would also never snitch on my siblings as a child on purpose simply to get them in trouble, it would usually be the case of them hurting me was when I would tell my mother that something was going on but other than that I was quite a shy and quiet child. And my mother and father have both told me to my face that I was a mistake and just an accident they never wanted to have therefore they had no reason to care about me or worry, and even though I struggle with my mental health very much my father and mother both refuse to get me help because they do not believe I have any reason to struggle with my mental health and that my middle sister was more important than me because she was always the smarter one out of all of me and my other siblings. I also rarely start trouble because I have a very big fear of loud noises thanks to my father, (including yelling because he would constantly yell at me for no reason) and my mother is a very loud person so when she gets angry she tends to yell so I just do not make trouble that often, and if I may add to this I am also the one always getting blamed for everything that happens in my house no matter what it is, somehow it gets pinned on me. And, finally my father has forgotten many times that I am his child, texting me in a drunken state multiple times asking who I was and why my name and number where saved in his phone.
Thank you for reading this, I apologize that it turned mostly into a vent but my main point is, some of us younger siblings have it harder than the others will ever know.
