    Love Olive & June. I’ve been using their system for a little over a year. It’s a regular polish and comes off easily with their remover pot, Zoya remover or any others I’ve tried.

    Ran into them by accident on Instagram and was immediately obsessed. I just purchased their mani system kit with 6 polishes. Going to a nail tech for some months and she damaged my nails so bad, leaving no choice but to let my nails grow out and get strong. Now that they’re finally healthy after some heavy TLC, I now decided if I go to a salon it will be catered to natural nails only and not use an e-file. Been doing my own manis at home and obsessed with their range of colors here. Thank you for the review ❤

    • @SkinObsessedMary
      @SkinObsessedMary  Před rokem +1

      They have so many colours, it's crazy! I was just back in the States to picked up another colour (I now have 9) and top coat.
      Like you, I've decided to no longer allow efiles on my nails. If i do Shellac (which I do whenever I travel), then I make sure they're filed by hand. Bu so far, Olive & June has been a lifesaver and the longest lasting polish I've found to date 👍

  • @26laf
    @26laf Před 2 lety +4

    I've used Olive and June. For the price I think it's great long lasting nail polish. I was able to take it right off with nail polish remover, no soaking required, but I did use a lighter color than the one you tested.

    • @SkinObsessedMary

      I think the key is acetone remover. Ill be buying it next time for sure.

    I found Olive and June on the internet by accident and am so happy I did. They had a color I liked, so I ordered it. I have to say, I am so impressed with their polish, I am now theirs for life. I also ordered the mani kit that includes everything you need for the best home manicure ever. They provide instruction for the clueless
    ( me), and even sort their polishes by skill level. As if this wasn’t enough, their customer service is next to none. The only down side is delivery is slow due to the fact that polish is a chemical. So plan accordingly.

    • @SkinObsessedMary
      @SkinObsessedMary  Před 2 lety

      That’s very good advice. And I’m a big believer too - keep buying new colours every time I’m home. They don’t ship outside the US so that’s a bummer.

    I am a member of Olive & June and have a ridiculous number of colors from them--love them and give them as gifts as well! I also really like Static Nails, I bought their Sweater Weather kit and love it! Trust Fund Beauty is fun but I haven't shopped there in a couple of years due to my Olive & June run. Glad you liked them! I do like their remover as well. Very quick and easy.

    The remover jar works beautifully - I was pleasantly surprised. The contents are ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, alcohol, and water. I find it gentler than straight acetone.
    I also got one of the nail treatment colors (The Queen Takes Her Tea With Milk) and it seemed to last very long and allowed my nails to grow out much longer than usual.

    Thanks so much for this review! I’m a sucker for a gel manicure but my nails grow so fast that they start to look like they need to be redone after only a week. This sounds like it would be perfect for me. Is the drying time like normal nail polish?

    I always thought I could detect an Irish twang in your voice. I live in England and always use either Maybelline super stay strength primer or Rimmel nail base and top coat, with 2 coats of super stay top coat over any nail polish and my nails last a good week without chipping. I’ve tried high end base and top coats but don’t find they perform as well.

    Such a shame that O&J don't ship to the UK 😭. I have exactly the same issue as you with polish only lasting a few days at most. As you say, they have such a wide range of colours and they are so pretty. I'll stick with Orly bonder basecoat and Essie Gel Couture polish and top coat. That's what works best for me, although OPI's The Berry Thought Of You just lasted 4 days 🥳😁👍with the previously mentioned base and top coats.
