Devin, this is so spot on. Yesterday my son kept running in the room when I was doing my video class and kept wanting to wave Hi to my students. I kept telling him, go do your math homework!

We get emails with assignments and important information from our teacher at like 9pm... like damn, don't you ever call it a day? (I'm a nursery school teacher in training so we're no kids anymore, but doesn't mean I want emails with school stuff at 9pm or half past nine. Way to ruin a night. 😅)
TheHoneyPieHorse as a teacher working from home, it’s like we have no office hours anymore. We can’t avoid it. It feels like the workload doubled in amount and demands... I understand the situation is annoying but we’re doing what we can to survive 🥴
Not to mention text messages at 1:30 am from the student wanting to delay their session.

You can do this! (I actually switched careers after the last school year ended, I’m now in nursing school 🤓😉 BSN)

My math teacher is kinda the opposite he like wants us to clear our doubts over whatsapp so we don't interrupt class next day. So I have sent like doubts at 12 am and still gotten it cleared

the bane of my existence during COVID was interacting with my colleagues over video conferencing 100% of the time. I DO NOT understand how teachers did it with the typical collection of distraction-powered critters they have assembled. As far as I'm concerned, nurses and teachers should all just be sainted while still living.

U know u dont have 2 pick up the phone right? I would straight out all those phone calls. Only if I get a message agreeing to call and chat at a given time, would I even pick up the phone.

Same! I use block number so even parents can't contact me without email. We'd get sacked if we gave out the number to a private phone at my school...
I have a Google Voice number for students which comes to my regular cell, but they can't see my real number and most importantly, I can put the Google Voice number on "do not disturb", so no text or calls come through.
