That's dope! I needed this encouragement. My hubby and I have created a t-shirt company recently. Our house burned down in July and we thought it would be a good way to earn our way out of the ashes that has become our lives. It's going slow but we practice everyday and I believe we will pick up soon. Gonna have to get some of your stickers so I can stay organized.

Marleny XO I re-opened my shop at the beginning of this month, and I’ve sold 13 shirts so far. You just have to share it on all of your social media once you create the shop, and you’ll get the sales.

You don't know what a blessing this video has been. I've been sabotaging myself for a while to start on Etsy: it's not ready, not good enough, not perfect, etc. It even didn't matter if others told me how nice it looked. My husband told me not to wait until I feels perfect, to work on it while I've started or I'll never start. Your video is the little push that I needed to go for it.Thank you.

Thank you for this video! I have been waiting FOREVER to open my sticker shop. I've been keeping a printer, Cricut machine, and other supplies in my Amazon cart for months, and I finally committed to purchasing them in December. Now I'm brainstorming designs, and I just gotta DO IT. When we first start out, the first few won't be perfect, but we can always look back on where we were and get better every time. Did all of your customers come from your CZcams channel? Because I've been on etsy for almost a year and I've made less than you in total! I've made 2449.33 and that is fees and taxes included. I think if that's the case you should mention that in your video. Of course you have worked hard on your CZcams channel so that's why in would be good to mention as not everyone has already a platform established to begin with. I know this is a year old and also haven't watched any other of your videos which i will do so now, but this is what came to my mind just from watching your video and you for the first time 🙂

Finally, added the first sticker kit listing to my Etsy! I had been working on the design for about a year! I'm really proud of the design and really love how it turned out. Hope it is successful.
I think that it also factors in that you have built such a great 'Budget' brand on CZcams so that when you rolled out your sticker line, people were like "FINALLY" and were already a built in audience. I started my Etsy shops a year ago and have made a few sales in one and none in the other (not sticker shops though) so while I'm glad I started, it's definitely been an ongoing, uphill struggle. One of the reasons I started my own YT is to showcase my items but also showcase my planning journey...

The standard for any retail store is earning .05 on the $1. Yes only 5cents. It breaks down like this:
60% of every dollar-Product cost(PAPER ,INC, ENVELOPES)
35%-Extra expenses-(ALL TAXES, ins., building mantinance empolyees cost, bills,health ins, Equipment REPAIR,profit sharing, savings for company, ETC...)
5% - PROFIT
All the billion dollar corperations down to small retail shops should use this standard. The really successful ones do.

I think it’s ridiculous that Etsy charges 5% of shipping now. The items I sell are not very expensive and I usually charge exact shipping. 😑

When my planner group friends found out they asked me if I was going to open a Etsy shop. I wasn’t sure however my marriage of 13 years ended on Christmas (it’s a good thing) but I want to make a little extra money for my two boys and I to do fun things. This is so awesome! It really motivates me to start working on my own etsy shop. I want a handful of good products first before i open one, though. I really want a job where i can stay at home and work on what i love. A job like that would give me more motivation to wake up in the morning 😊

Yes, I will cover that in my upcoming Etsy series. However, I’ll tell you now that I work my full-time job 9 to 5-ish Monday through Friday so about 40 hours of my time are invested into my full time job, 20 hours a week into Etsy & 10 into CZcams. Roughly. Maybe I should actually track it one week 😬

Thank you for being so transparent and honest. A lot of people don't like to talk about money. Money isn't everything, but its a necessity to live. I have had my Etsy shop since 2015 and I am looking to grow even more. My sales are int 100's and I know I am capable of more than that. I am a SAHM and its been super hard. I have been use to working since I was 14. I think seeing that I can bring in income from home would help boost my spirit on those "hard days" and motivate me to keep going. How much did you spend on supplies? Is this a true profit? This is not really showing the true picture as there are expenses related to creating the stickers. Printer, paper, ink, shipping packaging and other costs.
