    March 12th, 2023, Cabela's / Bass Pro Shop have the Bass Pro 3600 boxes on sale at 4 for $12. Got a 3601 there too for $8, so $20 all in!
    My wife and son followed your instructions and put everything together, and they told me I HAD to post to your feed and let you know what a fabulous job you did with the templates and instructions. Thanks so much for the great quality content!

    As an Advanced Squad Leader player, I am VERY familiar with the Plano storage boxes. I have tons of them for the infantry, guns, and armour for all the nations involved in WW2. So naturally, using Plano for Gloomhaven is a natural extension. I highly recommend this choice rather than the very overly priced cardboard storage boxes - the plastic Plano boxes are not only more durable but they have a lid and close tightly so that your pieces don't go flying everywhere in your Gloomhaven box!

      Very cool! glad this worked for you. Yeah, I would like to have a bit more organization for the map tiles and sometimes wonder about getting a accordion folder for these. Then I will break my rule to get everything to fit in the box perhaps :)

    Thank you!!!! After searching for a storage option this is what I landed on. It was hard to wait for the boxes before I popped the pieces out, but it was worth it. So easy to organize this way.

    I like this idea! I would have done this had I known about it earlier. This game is so huge that I literally bought an Ender 3 (3d printer) to print out a storage solution. Granted it's not just for Gloomhaven at this point since I see now that there are free 3d insert files for Imperial Assault, Root, etc. Just crazy how big it is and how much bigger it's sequel is going to be.

    • @ModernTablegamer

    So we did ours with stuff I found around the house. We did it kind of similarly in regards to map tokens and monster tokens using two old bead organizer boxes. However, we made what I call our battle kit that has all the status, hp and coins in a repurposed picture hanging kit.
    Also I prefer what we did with the cards. We had a couple little wooden boxes from the craft store laying around that fit all the smaller cards on there sides perfectly. Then I just cut out some labeled dividers from the backing of an old legal pad. All the small cards fit in the two small boxes. The larger cards went into an old Pokémon tcg card box I had with just enough room for the square monster cards and envelopes to fit in with them perpendicular to the regular city/road cards. The white and yellow stands fit in there too.
    We were able to fit it all back into the box and didn't have to buy a thing. Just lucky I guess :P

    • @ModernTablegamer
      @ModernTablegamer  Před 3 lety

      I'm impressed! I looked for spare storage around my house and the best I came up with were some oversized bead boxes that worked for the monster standees and other tokens but not for much else. I like that you got everything back in the box. I find there are times when I have all of my stuff sitting out for quite a while where I don't pack it back in the box. But. just having the satisfaction to know that when I want to put everything away, it fits in the box keeps my OCD in check :). Thanks for the share!

      Hi Antonio, I don’t. I am borrowing a copy of Jaws of the Lion right now from my son and daughter-in-law actually right now and am just using tons of ziploc plastic bags for components and it’s not working too well. Is it me or do all the labels on the Plano inserts that should say "8" instead say "18"?

    • @ModernTablegamer
      @ModernTablegamer  Před 3 lety +2

      HI John, that's a great point. I went back and looked at all of these and was like "you know, John's right!", as I found there were only 10 pieces in a bin marked with an "18". So then the investigation continued... I went through all of the bins marked "18" and found they all contained "10" pieces. With that, I looked closer at the calligraphy style font and have come to the conclusion that the "8" in this font is actually the "0" of this font. It really looks like an "8" though.

    You do realize that these boxes exist already... they’re called Jewelry/Bead Organizers (plastic ones), and they’re literally precisely the same as this, but they’re already pre-built with sections.... and they’re insanely cheap at Michael’s, Walmart, Amazon. Lol.
    In other words, to anyone looking for cheap/efficient storage methods... no offense, but this is a colossal waste of time. Broken Token is also a waste of money/time. Just buy a few plastic jewelry/bead organizers and one or two wooden trays (just make sure the dimensions/sizes are correct) and it’s the same thing, but cheaper and way faster.

    • @ModernTablegamer
      @ModernTablegamer  Před 3 lety +3

      Correct and good point! I've been using bead / jewelry organizers for years to sort game components for many games on my shelf. My wife knows I'm addicted to these in the way I bolt for the arts and crafts sections of Walmart, Hobby Lobby and Michaels when we go. Naturally when I picked up Gloomhaven this was my first stop. I went with dimensions in hand and at least locally I didn't couldn't find a configuration that fit as well as the ones mentioned in the BGG post. Unfortunately these Plano tackle boxes are not available in some regions. So if anyone has different or cheaper options using bead or jewelry sorting boxes, please feel free to share!
