Life before connection was a better life. It was simpler and people seemed happier.
80's...best years of my life! Life so much better without the internet and cell phones. Married in 89 and didn't have a tv for the first year of marriage. We learned to communicate with each other. Going on 33 years and we have never raised our voices to each other. I miss those days!
In 1989 I was 15. I was having a great time. My oldest daughter is 15 now and she said this behavior was totally irresponsible. My husband and I just laughed.
Wait a few years. She might just change her tune!
Back then it was so much more fun. Everybody knew where to go after a football game. We didn't need cell phones (class of 88). Now I freakout if I leave my phone at home and it SUCKS to even have to feel like that
School Year - Friday night pasture parties after the football game, Sat night going to another town to sneak into bar with band playing where nobody knew you except the bouncer ... Summer time out on the River like the Kid says.

Back Then, for sure there are things we can do now we couldn't back then, but at least people hung out and didn't hind behind keyboards.
Kid Rock is a legend. He was 18 in the song but wrote this song when he was 37. He is self taught on EVERY instrument. He does rock, hip hop, country, Motown, and rap. You have no clue. Research before you listen to a legend.

Back then without a doubt. When we could do stupid teenage stuff and it didn’t end up posted all over the internet. When we just lived in the moment, not worrying about capturing the moment for a spot in the social media spotlight.
Everyone that grew up in the 80s would give everything to Go back. I sure would.
Im from that era and I wish the world was the same today as it was back then. The internet is so hate filled and then it spills over into the streets and into work places and etc. People were more kind pre internet. Children had to actually study for school and for tests but now everything is on the internet.
I know I surely miss these times. No stress...no worries. As long as you had enough bread, lunch meat, and gas til payday, it was all good. 5 of you in a 2 bedroom house so you could afford this lifestyle. Good times.

I grew up in the 80's......graduated HS 1981, I would do it all over again. We didn't need the internet or CELL phones, everyone you wanted to talk to was out with you! There was always something to do. Out all night watching live bands in clubs until 3 am, go home, sleep 2 hours, go to work. And do it all over again the next night!
I was 17 and spent many summers at Torch Lake in northern Michigan! Back when time was on my side and responsibilities were nonexistent!

I grew up n a time when we left our keys n the ignition, vehicles unlocked, house unlocked, could safely ride my bicycle 7 miles into town and walk around town safely all day. We had safety, security and freedom! No, nothing was ever stolen, damaged, burglarized and ima lil female but felt no fear cause ppl were kind and caring. NOTHING like today. I lived without cable, cell phone, internet, fancy technology and would not trade my childhood for anything. We thought we were big time when 8 track tapes came out💯😂😂

It was way better back then and I am an early tech adapter. Life was slower and simpler. Even obstacles and problems were easier to deal with. I wish that life for all younger generations. I am 70 years old now. I was raising kids and working at the local high school. Loved it all.
No internet and no 24hr news the world was better.
We used to walk around the neighborhood and find different groups of kids everywhere to hang out with. Don’t remember the last time I saw a group of kids in the neighborhood, nowadays they play video games indoors.

I had the time of my life in the 90’s
Believe it or not, it was nothing at all to go a whole month without using a phone or television. Out where we were, it was all CB radio or nothing for communications. For $20, you could fill up your car, buy a carton of smokes, a 12 pack of beer and large pizza. I don't recall ever looking at a clock and didn't even care to find one. lol Of Course this was circa 1977, The absolute historical peak of good times in America.

When there was no internet you interacted with the people around you instead of always looking at a phone..... Also, it was better to not have a phone always available for those times you might get home a little (or a lot) late - not having a phone to call and all.... You know, sometimes it is better to ask forgiveness after than permission before doing something.
