Shola McTrollerson Yaya Toure - Africa's best player four years in a row had little to no impact this AFCON. It was a poor tournament overall in terms of football. But glad it held and went well.
abrokenlife Yaya's been mediocre for us. On paper he should make the most impact for the Ivory Coast, which he doesn't. He is Ivory Coast's best player at the moment if it has to do with their clubs, but with national teams I believe our best player is Gervinho, if that made sense.
Shola McTrollerson Indeed. Still I insist the team was poor overall as was the tournament. Even Algeria was sub-par given how well they performed in Brazil. The best Africa 'TEAM' for me is Ghana. Ivory Coast is just a collection of stars most of whom never show up. The team won, as we know, because of 'luck' and most especially Herve Renard who seems to understand the African game.
The Ivory Coast finally got a good goalkeeper. Boubacar Barry was the worst goalkeeper I have seen play for a national team. He single handedly cost the Ivory Coast many many games.
Now Barry is the hero of the final
