good tutorial but, for those balling on a budget I would recommend you get a pallet, you can usually ask people and get them for free or look around places and you can find one lying around, then get some plywood, screw it on top, done, if you wanna grind on it just buy an angle metal thingy, and if you want it longer use two pallets, hope this helps
Hey Aaron! Could you do a simple tutorial on how to make a flatbar? Nothing too complicated, no welding or anything that requires skill. There's only a couple of flatbars in my town and they're really bad and i'd really like to improve my rail skating. Thanks!
At 2:31 it's better if you let the kid use the drill. Don't underestimate any child, start letting kids use power tools at an early age so that when they are in their teens, they will be experts and can build anything they could think of. It will expand their mind and imagination to be more independent. Kids knows when they are making a mistake when using a power tool, they will make changes as they are using them. Kids know how to be safe on their own.
Robert Phan I'm that kid who was very shy, and are terrible at using power tools. And i live on a farm filed with power tools and stuff like that... :D
Robert Phan thank you i'm 13 and i've used drill guns, table saws, bandsaws, jigsaws, hand held circular saws, and chainsaws too i help my dad do everything around the house we dug a 4 and 1/2 foot deep by 8 ft long pond with literally just shovels and i don't even live on a farm or anything i just live in a suburban neighborhood so let kids use power-tools and learn stuff that wouldn't be taught in standardized school so it could open up more job opportunities like being a carpenter or construction worker or stuff like that
U put wheels on the width end and you pick it up and roll it or if you wanna get it home from a long way away just put 4 wheels on the bottom and ride it like a skateboard home, easy.
Protip, cover the holes where the screws have been countersunk with like cement putty; the stuff you'd use for filling in cracks in front of, say, a stair.
***** 2x4s and 2x6s are actually 1 1/2 inches x 3 1/2 inches and the same idea for 2x6s. I know this because I have experience in cement masonry and carpentry :)
Whoo-Hoo! Thank you for showing and sharing this with me Aaron Kyro. Im going to build me a manual box to practice on. Do you have any tips for beginner rails to grind on?
Aaron next time I suggest putting the first crossbrace at 8 inches and on the other side put it at 16 inches and leapfrog it until you get your full length
If you wanted to save some money you could use a wood pallet and screw plywood on top, I think lots of stores will give you the pallets they don't need if you ask them.
+William Craychee i don't find them very willing to give them up anymore as they are worth a few bucks and people fix them and sell them, or steal them
Hi Aaron.. Im a skater from Magnolia Mississippi and ive been skating siince i was 11 and im now 15.. i hope this isnt too personal of a question but i was wondering what is your job? are you paid for your youtube videos or do you have a different job. *****
SoCaL-_-Carlos drill straight through the tubing (both walls top abs botom, and you use the top holes as a pilot for your screw gun or screw driver... top hole must be a little bigger than the bottom hole so that the screw will fit past the top hole...

1st like on ur comment! :)
How do you countersink the angle iron so that you can ride smoothly over it off of the pad?
***** he means so that it is completely flat with the rest of the pad
did you put allot of effert into that comment?
OK

you dont even need ply wood you can buy particle board ... it is so much cheaper
Matthew Martin that stuff usually breaks
Theo Clement Definitely. Lol I used to just use an old table with the metal legs that fold under and lock. Perfect little manny pad.
Subscribe for daily skate roasts xoxo
or and old dining table with some blocks not even screwed
u should list all of the materials needed in the description and make more how to videos on how to make other obstacles

Dude you helped me soo much! Thanks man you're the best! You helped me learn how to skate. Thanks soo much man!
MAKE ONE FOR THE BUTTER BENCH!!! But without the welding
Well he welded his so :/ you have to make your own by yourself
anywhere he does a weld you'll just have to improvise a way to use bolts/sheet metal screws.
Hey Aaron! Could you do a simple tutorial on how to make a flatbar? Nothing too complicated, no welding or anything that requires skill. There's only a couple of flatbars in my town and they're really bad and i'd really like to improve my rail skating. Thanks!
Marketing a flat bar without welding will b hard cuz you count connect the bar to its legs and still have it flat
It's actually really easy go to www.diyskate.com > ramps> grin rail. Scroll down to the weldless one
Dylan Fundell that site helped heaps, thanks dude :)
"...have your dad use the Drill Gun"
I chuckled

Woah that's deep
Robert Phan I'm that kid who was very shy, and are terrible at using power tools. And i live on a farm filed with power tools and stuff like that... :D
Robert Phan thank you i think like that but for everything children should be able to do more cool things

ACK MC BAKLABA ASK MACK
Awesome tip, screw in a sort of flat coping of sheet metal on one edge and you can use it to practice grinds too :)
How do you transport this once you've assembled it? That thing is heavy and sure as hell doesn't fit in the trunk. Love the vids though man.
U put wheels on the width end and you pick it up and roll it or if you wanna get it home from a long way away just put 4 wheels on the bottom and ride it like a skateboard home, easy.
Hey Aaron u should make more videos like these. It would be helpful. Keep up the hard work. Skate or die!
I build it today and so far i can say its pretty solid. thanks man.
Maybe you can do a how to build a kicker the easiest way.
Would be great, cause kickers for me are like manual pads for u :D
Same hear
Protip, cover the holes where the screws have been countersunk with like cement putty; the stuff you'd use for filling in cracks in front of, say, a stair.
Building a manny pad with angle iron next week! CAN'T WAIT!!!
How was it ? I am going to build one too with my friend
Didn't end up building it, priorities took my money away that I was gonna use lol
+Nick Murray (Sonic8190) and now? lol
how about now?
How about now?
Hey Braille have not seen a video on how to build stuff in ages just a suggestion
love the integra
did you rented this warehouse? how does it come to be that you are often shooting at this giant place. I like it. but how does it come to be?
Even tho theres no framing on the side, you think its possible to put copping on the sides? Looks smooth enough the way you did it
You can also use a wood pallet with plywood on top
What's the length and width for the plywood is it just 4x5'9
As a woodworker that skates, I approve. Lolz. The bottom shot of the braces looks exactly like how I built the top for my workbench.
your channel is 100x better
***** 2x4s and 2x6s are actually 1 1/2 inches x 3 1/2 inches and the same idea for 2x6s. I know this because I have experience in cement masonry and carpentry :)
I'm making a small one with coping that'll fit in my car
Sweet integra. Gsr?
I will definitely build one thank you Aaron
Whoo-Hoo! Thank you for showing and sharing this with me Aaron Kyro. Im going to build me a manual box to practice on. Do you have any tips for beginner rails to grind on?
Can you make a video on how to make a grind box, Aaron?
Put some angle iron on the edges and u got a grind box
Aaron you should put metal peice to the side of the manny pad so you can grind
Did you have to calculate for the difference between actual and nominal wood? Did you use actual 2 x 6 or were they 1 1/2 x 5 1/2?
Is SMS 2 going to be on iBooks?
I was thinking the same thing
you should show us how you made your bench next!
He did. Its called the birth of the butter benh
Could you put some thin metal sheets along the edges to make it more grindable?
Chuck some angle iron on there and you've got a neat little grind box.
Aaron next time I suggest putting the first crossbrace at 8 inches and on the other side put it at 16 inches and leapfrog it until you get your full length
yeah one side is more stable than the other in the video because the braces are closer together
Screw a what iron in to make a ledge? How would you screw and fasten the full length without having the screen stick out and ruin the ledge?
No YOU are the best! Go Giants!!!
yay will order sms 1 tomorrow look forward to it
your the best to braile
Nice ramp
you could use it as a shelf aswell
Do a how to make a kicker ramp
yaa
Aaron make sms 2 and 3 on Ibook I will by them!
How much was the wood ?
you should use nails, they take a lot more bending and abuse than a screw, but still solid either way
Is there a thign for all of the materials
If you wanted to save some money you could use a wood pallet and screw plywood on top, I think lots of stores will give you the pallets they don't need if you ask them.
+William Craychee i don't find them very willing to give them up anymore as they are worth a few bucks and people fix them and sell them, or steal them
I always mess up the ollie manie i end up tail sliding its hard to get balance
Why doesn't it play?
and in austria its snowing..... no skatehall near :( come visit me and do a stupid skate in the snow :)
+Andreas eYe Do snowboarding?
How much did it all cost and how much does it weigh .
5:28 bruh are you allergic to measuring tools?
Subscribe for daily skate roasts xoxo
LOL
Thanks alot !
How much does all that generally cost
They cost about 100 dollars
sweet dude
I was just thinking about making one yesterday. I found a piece of wood and brought it near my house but it's probably drenched in rain now.
Lovely

Exclamation Mark He's sponsored by ReVive.
How long is the top part?
I had one of these when I was a kid but it had coping on one of the edges.
Alternative: use a wood pallet and put plywood on top
Not as sturdy but still a good idea
It's how I built mine. It was cheap but it's not the greatest haha. High risk of getting splintered
***** how would u put coping or any metal on the side to grind it
What do you mean? You just screw some angle iron on it and boom -fun box
Mer C ha ur funny. When I asked this question I was referring to tube coping
SoCaL-_-Carlos drill straight through the tubing (both walls top abs botom, and you use the top holes as a pilot for your screw gun or screw driver... top hole must be a little bigger than the bottom hole so that the screw will fit past the top hole...
Could you do a quarter pipe the easiest way tutorial?
dude i live like 10 min away and its not sunny lol? did you film this before today?
are you saying you know where this spot is in SF?
he made this when he made his Day in the life so maybe a week or 2 ago
yes i do... but im not gonna tell and oh that makes sense Joshua tanks
Btw if you see this you don’t need to stagger the braces you can just brill the screws in at an angle
Can i change this into a grind box?
Yes you can just install metall lines on the sides
Three screws aligned will cause too much torque....eventually warping the boards overtime because the screws are pulling too strong.
i had a mini half pipe in my front yard when i was younger. it turned into like a big spot and i would always let random people skate it.
Lol I just got done planning a many pad with a ledge to grind on and I got on here and he made a tutorial on how to make one
Ur awesome
Can I buy yours? Or others
This is the Braille House we see today
how much did it cost to make
Can i put some small angle iron on it? ;D it might be small but why not? PLEASE ANSWAR Xd
SomeThingRandom this is what he did, you dont need to ask to add your own touches to it... be creative....
Aleksander i did this and put angle iron on it and it worked fine. this is pretty late answer though
Hahaha, :) Nice!
what is the song aaron ?? B) relaxing
What wood should I use I used Douglas fir and it's too heavy for one person to carry around so I had to put wheels on it
how do you keep it from moving once you get it where you want?
brendalg4 mines so heavy that it just stays from friction
brendalg4 ohhh im retarded the wheels are on the small side so I tip it up to move it
Sillycibin awesome idea about wheels on the small side
the fisheye made your plywood look wrapped X)
whats the song at the end?
It would be nice if you had a tutorial how to add some coping.
Hey man can i make a longer Manny pad?😕
could you grind in the edges
If you add an angle iron, you can grind on it like a ledge
Who doesn't love Arron kyros intro
How do you feel about long boards?
Good
How does this cost?
wo under 301+ and thx i need to know how to make one of these from the manual master! :)
how much did it end up being
Lol stick to skating Aaron, but not bad and it does the trick 👍🏼
Thx
things I love to do.violin playing and skateboarding.who else has these as their main hobbies?
how much did it cost for you to build this?
AARON! Is it good to use riser pads?
xX3lite_BeastXx risers are helpful but you don't necessarily need them, they help from getting wheel bite but besides that they dont really do much
KidDragon666 Thank you Aaron
xX3lite_BeastXx Thats not him...
PotPants No it was sarcasm actually
They kinda help with pressure cracks too!
It's an open bottom, right?
Yesssssss😊😊😊😊
Hello is 7.75 a good size for me? I wear 6 in vans
Usually it's preference but that's a could size to start
assassination516 its what ever size you want to ride your shoes dont really matter most of the time
