- Deborah asks the Saddle club to teach her how to ride. Lisa is stuck with Veronica as a houseguest. Max wants to propose to Deborah, but Deborah is dodging Max so he won’t know she’s taking lessons. Veronica takes over Lisa’s room and tells her she’s boring. Max thinks it’s the wrong time to propose. Veronica reads Carole and Stevie the unflattering things that Lisa wrote about them in her diary. Carole and Stevie are hurt. Deborah finds the lessons too difficult and wants to quit, but the girls won’t let her. Lisa reads Stevie and Carole the good stuff she wrote about them in her diary. It makes them cry. Lisa reads the nice things she wrote about Veronica, moving Veronica to rears. Deborah proposes to Max on horseback. They exchange rings.
Based on the series of popular books for young readers, The Saddle Club follows the lives of three aspiring equestrians developing their riding skills at Pine Hollow Stables. Each of the girls has assorted personal baggage: Tomboy Stevie's impulsive nature gets her into constant trouble, Carole rides to overcome a family tragedy, and Lisa is an overachiever with a social-climbing mother. "You read my diary?!" Smart move Lisa ... Should have just played it off, the girls weren't buying Veronica's story untill she blurted that out. To be fair, what she wrote is true, no need to get all mad and ignore her ... Talk ! Personally, I'd rather have friends who told me honestly how they felt about me so that I can use that to improve myself, correct my unperfections in a way.
Stevie and Carol really shouldn’t be mad at Lisa. Veronica broke the number one rule: never read someone’s diary and especially do not tell the people written in about. It’s private

And why did they change how Veronica's parents are? Earlier they seemed to take notice and care but now they've become the stereotypical rich parents that ignore their child.

I guess to give her character some depth and to explain why she's so mean? When her parents were good people who genuinely cared for her, it made her character even more insufferable because there was no real reason for her bratty, attention-seeking ways. Now, it just seems like she's lashing out because she's neglected by her parents.

I watched all of the saddle club from the start when it was released back when I was a little kid- now I've come back to re-watch them for fun now that I'm 20 and working as a full time rider, coach and groom!
So fun to look back on this series that I had treasured for so many years.

Veronica is complex. She is the antagonist most of the time, but she's also had moments where she's been kinda decent.
