My biggest gripe with tutorials is that many times people say the hotkey but they don't show how it can be done in the software screen, so my question is since 'f9' is to ease in/out, where in after effects do we turn on ease in/out if we dont want to use hotkeys?

Makes adjusting scale/position much easier.
When I move the file to AE all objects are "linked" together. Maybe you can help another newbie out on what to do?How do you put them on separate layers?
I have 2 questions. Sometimes when I import a vector file to After Effects, the color contrast changes. Meaning the color what I chose in Illustrator and the colour I m getting in after effects is different. So, what can I do to resolve it. Also, I wanted to ask u, if I import a vector which has only stokes and not fill, thn can I use a trim path on it just like a regular after effects stroke shape layer?
1. Never seen this happen before. But I would check the color space you're using. It might be because you're in CMYK in Illustrator and RGB in AE. 2. Yes, you should be able to. You'll need to convert it into a shape layer in AE.
How would you time an audio track when in After Effects though? I mean my audio track would be in Premiere, so I don't know how to create in AE and then export to PP..
Two options: 1) Import the audio track in After Effects itself and sync accordingly, but on my PC, the audio isn't that great and smooth as in Premiere, so: 2) Say you are working on a composition named "Final_720p" in After Effects, just import the same in Premiere Pro (remember you can import a composition only not an entire After Effects project) and then sync by playing Audio in Premiere Pro along with the video layer being AE Composition; although you will have to switch back and forth, it is worth it as the sync is real-time and very quick.

You need to put entire vectors into their own layer in Illustrator. Everything should work fine then!

Marty S you can import your audio track directly into AE :)
