1:50 - This is so very close to something I realized years ago: Children are open to the Spirit World.
    Hear me out.
There are people - especially children, but frequently teens and adults - who are able to perceive the rest of the world. That is, more than the material world shown to our eyes, ears, and fingers. "Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter." (Yoda had it spot on.) My family refers to these people as "Awakened".
Others have some sense that the rest of the world exists, but so heavily doubt or are indoctrinated with "it's just your imagination/it's for children" that they only barely notice. These are "Dreamers".
The rest have completely separated their senses from that part of reality, and deny its existence completely. They are "Sleepers".
As a child, I sat up and took note of the non-material aspects of reality, and so remained Awakened. I never fell asleep, so to speak. My husband did the same. Our children, due largely to how we raised them, are the same way.
It's not an easy life, especially with Sleepers, and even Dreamers, ready to call us "crazy", or worse "anti-God" (or similar). The Church would have us believe these gifts are rare, or "not of God". These gifts are very much from God, and given to EVERYONE. Whether you choose to exercise them or let them atrophy, that's up to you.
God bless, and be safe out there.

I used to have premonitions. I once woke up screaming about three big booms underground, and went back to sleep. At the exact time I was screaming about three big booms, three bombs went off in the London subway system.
Most recently, I called a family member and told her she needed to get out of the state she was in. My family member said my voice sounded off, almost like two voices speaking as one. She did as I said, and her house was utterly destroyed by a tornado. If she had stayed, she would have been killed.
I once told my sister and my cousin not to take cousins car to a concert. They took my sister’s car instead. Again my voice had the strange echo. My cousins car exploded while sitting in her driveway.
My family knows now if I tell them to do something in that strange voice, they do it. I told an uncle his heart was turning black. He made an appointment with a cardiologist and discovered he had heart cancer. It was caught so early that he was able to avoid Chemo. He had no symptoms ether.
Half of the time, I’m not aware of doing this ether. I guess this means I’m awake.

My sister and I are both blessed with different abilities. She sees and hears it. I think (perceive) and feel it (empath). Our Mother is still very apprehensive even after knowing us both for over fifty years. It is very hard to live in the current world climate with so much anger, hatred and imbalance. We have been aware since birth but did not understand the significance until we were adolescents. Sometimes we wish we were asleep. 🤷‍♀️

I had been divorced for awhile and had previously had a miscarriage. I started dating a great guy with 3 small children. The eldest was 5,4 and 2. The 4 year old boy who I was told was very shy and kept to himself, completely changed as soon as I walked in the door. He was so overly excited. Hugged me and didn’t want to let go. His Dad was gobsmacked and didn’t understand the sudden change in his behavior.
We were thinking of marrying and I didn’t know if it was right for me.
A few weeks later I was swinging with the 4 year old who was always full of love, smiles and joy said, “Remember the baby you lost? That was me! You’re supposed to be my Mom and somehow you found me!!”
We married a few months later 34 years ago and that little guy grew up to be an incredible adult, professional athlete who married the love of his life.

My husband was once told by a lady at a party (supposed to have been a psychic) that he had a guardian angel always around him. Everytime I went shopping or anywhere with my husband, small children and toddlers would look at him and smile from ear to ear. Some would try to get out of their buggy. I believe with all my heart that those little ones could see the guardian angel around my husband.

When one of my cousins was very young, they were watching Titanic. When they got to the part where the ship was sinking, my aunt said my cousins started crying uncontrollably. They had to carry her out of the room. My aunt asked her what was wrong and she told her she died on that ship. The same thing happened years later when she had a slumber party. When she got married they went to Pigeon Forge and of course they go to the Titanic museum. My cousin had a panic attack and ran out of the museum. An employee helped them and when she told the employee that she knew she died on that ship. The employee asked if she had ever looked into hypnosis. When they got home she tried it and she described being on the ship and she couldn't get to the lifeboats and was on the ship as it sank. She said her name. They called the museum the next day and spoke to that employee and ask her to check on that name. She called back a few hours later very shaken. The name she gave her was on the passenger list!

These stories made my jaw drop over and over again; they gave me chills! After 11 years of marriage, my husband left me for someone else. My sons ( 7 & 9 y/o)and I were pretty upset and eventually we had to move. One day, about a year or so after the divorce and move, my eldest son says to me --out of the blue--like he was in the middle of something, stopped what he was doing and came over to me with a smile on his face. He said,
"You know what , Mom? I think Joe and I are here to help you...I guess to be your guardian angels." That brought me such joy, I can't even begin to describe how it made me feel. I did have a very difficult 7 or 8 years (and so did they in many ways) but they have always, ALWAYS been there for me. they are now 30 and 28 and they --thankfully-do not need to help as much. Yet they continue to bring great joy into my life.

Out of all the comments here, this one hits close to home. My son was also overdue and one day I was induced to get it started in the morning. They had to induce me a second time because the contractions didn't start. Then when I was finally dilated enough and could go into the delivery room, he hadn't moved down the birth canal yet, so I had to start gentle pushes just to get him down there, before I could do the pushes to actually give birth. I sometimes say he was just too comfortable and didn't want to leave, but this comment puts that experience in another perspective. I don't know if the same thing happened; my son hasn't said anything like that.

We all went as a group of women to a fortune teller, that explained that she had lived previously as a boy that died in a barn fire caused when he accidentally knocked over a lantern. It was so strange how she the woman said that was why she sniffed the air...we never told her that. Mom actually saved every resident of our apt block. Someone stole a gas dryer from the laundry room in the basement. She smelled it and was freaking out. A fireman searched the area and found the gas still flowing to a missing dryer. The entire area of the laundry was FULL of gas. It was just so mystifying how accurate the reading was and that it was 40 years ago, before the internet. The woman had zero access to information about us, but KNEW I was that other's daughter. (I looked nothing like my mom ).

When I was a child, I once woke up in the middle of the night to get myself a water from the fridge. When I approached the fridge, which was standing in front of the window, I suddenly felt a strong urge to turn around. A black dog’s head, lightened by the street light from behind, was staring at me through the window with its glowing eyes, it didn’t move, blink or somehow react to my presence, just looking blankly. Surprisingly, I wasn’t even scared. Its head shape and color reminded me of Tuman, the dog of our village’s security guard, so I thought that he just ran away like he usually did and somehow got into our homestead. I slightly knocked on the window, but he didn’t respond, so I decided to go back to bed.
The next day I told about it to my parents, but they didn’t believe me, at least because our house had a raised foundation and windows in our kitchen were too high from the ground for a dog to look in it. If it was real, the dog should be really huge or…floating in the air. Sounds creepy already, if you ask me.
But what really makes this story a horror story is a disturbing fact that we found out at the same day. I went for a walk to the end of our village, where the security guard lived, to see how Tuman is doing, but instead of him I saw another dog on the chain. I asked a security guard about it, and it turned out that Tuman died a few days ago and a guard had to get another dog. This gives me chills to the present day.

I stayed until the baby was quiet and then returned to my body. I woke up the next morning and never told a soul.

our physical being is a vessel that we use for our human experience... we do leave our physical body when asleep whether we are aware of it or not.

So I hung out with a fellow new mom shortly after my son was born, she was really into horses. Her horse was sick and she told me she talked to an animal psychic about her horse and figured it out. I thought it was funny and as a gag gift, I got a gift certificate for my husband for a half-hour phone call for our pet rabbit. He adored that rabbit and would always say things like "I wonder what he's thinking.' So during the call about the rabbit, she suddenly starts telling us that the rabbit loves the company of the older lady with the pearl necklace and blond hair who sits on the edge of our son's bed. She perfectly described my husband's mother who had passed away years before we had even met. She also said that she thinks the bunny is cute and hangs out with him, which was right outside his bedroom. Needless to say, we didn't think the call was so funny anymore. The thing is, that you think of scary happenings in old homes with old neighborhoods. This was a new subdivision and a newer house, but we had at least a half dozen unexplained incidences in that house. My current 180-year-old house, nothing.

Nursing homes in general are apparently very haunted. Doors open into empty rooms with no one pushing them, doors open into rooms with people in them but no one enters. Footsteps when no one is actually nearby.
It makes me really happy that the child saw the spirits enjoying the outdoors.

He would talk and talk and talk to Sam after I tucked him into bed at night and it seemed he was also talking to more than just Sam. One time my friend and her two sons were in the car with my son (he was 3) and I was standing at the back of the car putting some stuff in the trunk from our playdate at the Y. I shut the trunk and my son suddenly let out a panicked scream and started crying hysterically, telling me that I had just shut Sam in the trunk and he thought Sam might be hurt. It was intense and very unlike him and it rattled me (and all of us) and got me teary.
Other than that one intense moment, I just thought he had a wonderfully vivid imagination and I always played along, but that incident made me wonder if there was something more. Sam seemed to leave when my son was 4 and I've asked my son over the years if he remembers Sam and he doesn't.

I dreamt of my daughter a whole year before I got pregnant with her. It started with a dream that predicted a miscarriage and then going ok to have a baby girl. And so two weeks after this dream I miscarried (like in my dream) and from there my daughter came to me in my dreams.. until I found I was pregnant with her on June 1 of 2011. By then I had known what she looked like and her name…. Anyhow forward to my daughter being 2 years old… she’s able to talk now, and I repeatedly find her alone crying to herself and when I ask her what’s wrong, why is she crying. She tells me that she doesn’t want to lose me and her father to an accident. That she was so afraid of us dying in an accident… there was no way she could know about death at this age etc etc.. but it was her biggest worry, and it continued for a couple years. Finally one day I ask her what her oldest memory is, and she vividly tells me about being in a car with her parents (her other parents) with lights all around (ambulance, police lights) and her being taken out through the front of the car… this never occurred with her father and I… so it was then that I realized that my daughter was having flashbacks of a past life. And it all made sense to me…shes 10 and still remembers that memory, but she no longer cries about her father and I dying in an accident. But from time to time she still does have anxiety attacks about us leaving her. Which we talk about and work on.
Now she’s more curious about who she was in this past life… And how she chose me.
She truly did chose me. And I couldn’t be happier. ❤️

She then said to me in Spanish, “you need to get closer to God.” Still looking me in the eye, she gently placed her hand on my stomach and said “God and the Devil are fighting for your baby’s soul. You will see proof of this fight when he is born because something will be different on his right side.” I started trying to repair my relationship with my God, but, first of all, I didn’t know I was pregnant for another two weeks. I kept hearing “I’m in here, you can’t find me” I thought my boys were playing hide & seek, so I open the door & yelled gotcha. I felt a hand on my back push me into the closet. As I fell into the closet a huge oak tree fell through my bathroom & landed right where I was standing at the sink. The only people in the house were me & my 3 kids ages 5, 4 & 2

A colleague of mine had a farewell dinner for me when I was leaving an overseas post, and after most of the guests had left, we few ladies remaining were telling unusual stories. She told a story about her little girl, who at the age of around 2, was sitting on the potty in the bathroom with her mother sitting on the floor next to her. My friend said that suddenly there was an odd feeling in the room, and her little girl (who was just learning to talk) said: "I'm your dad." My friend's father had died over a year before her daughter was born, and my friend had never spoken to her young daughter about him. Also, she had long noticed that her daughter reminded her of her dad in so many ways.

When I watched the movie "A Stir of Echoes" starring Kevin Bacon, once his character starts seeing ghost, his little boy tells him, "You're awake now daddy." I think we all have moments where we're "awake". It's like having a flashlight in a dark room that only comes on once in a while but not enough to see what it is. Some people have a better flashlight, mostly children or those that have been close to death. I was always freaking my mother out. My parents had chosen to move to another state, and I stayed with my grandmother in Illinois so I could graduate 8th grade with the rest of my class. School didn't let out until 3:15 P.M., but around 12:30 I started to feel panic. My heart raced; I could hardly wait for the bell to ring so I could get to a phone. Something had happened to my mom, and I had to get a hold of her. As soon as school was dismissed, I ran the block and a half to my grandma's house, threw my books on the kitchen table and dialed my parents' number. It took several rings before someone answered. I mom answered and the first thing I asked was, "Are you okay?" She was silent for a moment, then said "Yes, I'm okay now. What makes you ask?" I told her I had an awful feeling she'd been hurt. She laughed and said, "Well, your timing is incredible because we just got back from the emergency room. I was up on the roof of the garage helping your dad put new shingles on and I lost my balance and fell. I would have been fine, but my wrist hit a concrete block on the ground and sliced it open. Your dad drove me to the hospital, and they managed to stitch me up, but I needed a pint of blood." That wouldn't be the last time I'd call her and ask her if she was okay, and she'd be shocked that I'd known something was wrong.

I spent the night at a friends house years ago and was offered a bedroom on the second floor. In the middle of the night, I felt cold hands pulling on my feet, under the covers at the end of the bed. I woke up and bolted upright in bed with shivers and looked towards the end of the the bed and saw an elderly man, dressed in a neatly pressed blue flannel shirt, tucked into new blue denim jeans with a large silver belt buckle and wearing a baseball cap, smiling at me as he turned and walked and disappeared through the closed bedroom door leading into the second floor hallway. Needless to say, I had a bit of trouble falling back to sleep again and slept rather uneasy until late in the morning. Over breakfast, my friend and I were chatting and I mentioned my strange encounter over pancakes and coffee. He grinned and shrugged his shoulders and said that he had witnessed many such encounters in the house with various entities and situations but none of which were ever frightening or intimidating. The experience lingered with me for weeks. A few months later, my friend and I were spending the evening together and he happened to pull out photo albums of his family. As he was turning the pages of his family photo album and chatting and telling little anecdotes about each picture, we came across a photo of the same person that I saw at the foot of my bed that night. "That's him! That's who I saw that night", I said excitedly, pointing to the exact same clothing in a picture of an elderly man and his deceased younger brother at a family gathering. "Oh that's Pawpaw, my mother's father. He was the sweetest person and he adored my little brother." He told me that his brother had been tragically killed a decade early in a late night head on car collision with a drunk driver on the remote country road leading to his house. That kinda creeped me out a bit. I got chills immediately, realizing that this spirit was probably repeating the same thing that he might have done to his beloved grandson sleeping in the exact same room in the exact same bed. My friend told me that his brother's room remained untouched and intact down to the books on the shelves, the decor and framed pictures and even the neat row of shoes in the closet beneath the neatly laundered and pressed clothes on hangers. It was one of the most vivid encounters I've ever had with spirit beings and I've had several in my lifetime starting as a young child well into adulthood. During my life, I've had several people spontaneously tell me that they sensed a certain energy and aura about me and that I had a tendency and nature towards attracting spirits and "ghosts". I do think certain people are attuned (whether they realize it or not) to certain energies and situations that reveal entities, just as people can be highly sensitive to smells or sounds that others are unaware or not attuned to. Most of my experiences have been neutral or non threatening but a few have been downright scary and uncomfortable. I know that these phenomena are all around us all the time but most of the time we (including myself) are oblivious. You have to stop and calm yourself and carefully observe to notice and sense them. Many true and genuine encounters are shrugged off as nonsense or explained away. Few people are willing or able to comprehend and become aware of such things. These situations are unknown, uncertain and undefinable. I feel sadness and sympathy for many of these entities as I believe that they are trapped in this physical place, between transitioning and passing "on" and I believe that many don't realize that they're dead or that they are "ghosts". I believe some wish to be in limbo because they are unable to forgive or heal or let go. Many are heartbroken and angry. Most are just there and mostly benign. I believe that this is a result of some traumatic physical or emotional experience that they are unable to "process" or cope with. Some are just trying to connect with and soothe or calm a troubled friend or family member and express their love.

My younger sister, who I shared a room with until we were 12/13, would regularly claim to have nightmares about black things with red eyes. I reminded her about it recently (we're 29/30 now) and she goes "oh, those weren't nightmares. I just said that so I could still talk about them." We were raised Christian (with a mother who believed ghosts were demons impersonating our deceased loved ones) and I guess she felt she wasn't allowed to talk about seeing creepy things unless it was in her dreams. So that sketched me the fuck out again decades later because excuse me? She was AWAKE when she saw this? "Ya, a black figure with red eyes would stand at the end of my bed and stare at me." I'm actually kinda glad she lied but I feel so bad that she felt she had to in order to express her fear.

A lot of 'Christians' are terrified of anything demonic because they don't understand their own power as a child of the one true Living God. Your mother may not have reacted in a helping way, but she was right in understanding that the dead are not allowed anywhere near the living, and with the hive mind demons operate with, they often carry knowledge of before that can trick people into believing they are their long lost relatives so they (those being 'haunted') will welcome their interaction and open doors better kept closed.

Also, a man named Edgar Cayce wrote books about psychic connections, etc. He talked about going to a barber shop and waiting for a haircut when a small boy ran to him and climbed in his lap, hugging his neck. The surprised dad came over, apologizing and telling the boy about bothering strangers. His son replied, "We were hungry on the river together."
That night Cayce dreamed he and a friend were on a river in an area where the Indian population was still flourishing. The two men weren't allowed to land and find food and eventually starved.

My son only had a couple strange things around 3. But my daughter oh boy. There's just so many things. We actually went into a store that sold crystals and things and one of the ladies said oh, she's got a gift. She then points at these what I thought were umbrellas and said those are beautiful flags. I said those are umbrellas . And the lady smiled and said no she's right they are flags and walked us to the bank of the store and she had 2 hanging up. That's when I finally told someone all the things that's she's been saying or scared of. And she said I knew she had a gift. I think all the noise around us slowly close up our minds as we grow up. I think we still have it. We just dismiss it. But sometimes we see the little clues, or feel the air change in a room, or hear a silent voice in the deepest of our ears telling us to pay attention, or go a different way, or watch that person. He was asleep in my bed when all of a sudden he sat straight up and with his eyes still closed said in a matter of fact tone "Those things with all the tentacles and eyes in the corner of the room? Theyre from another dimension, their invisible and sometimes they eat stray cats." Then laid back and started snoring loudly without missing a beat. Freaked me out so I turned on every light in the house until I finally passed out on the couch. I asked him the next day and he has no memory of saying it. I think about it everytime the dog or cat stares up at the ceiling or the nothingness in the corner of a room.

I am now 47 yo. My mother ever told me when i was very young, i don't remember how old i was as she said maybe around 2 - 4 yo, i told my late father who was about to leave for work that he may not go. When my parents asked why, i said that he will be hit by a vehicle. My mother who didn't realize i can see things back then, said that i shouldn't say that if i love him and don't want him to get hurt. But i insisted. So he just wait awhile not to go just to calm me down. After a while there was a little accident someone hit by a rickshaw. And one day when he had a work assignment to go to other region, i forbade him to fly because the airplane will crash. Again my mother told me not to always say bad things. And my father went to airport and met some of his colleagues who also got the same assignment. Days after that, he wrote a letter to my mother telling that their flight delayed and had to take the next flight and then there was a news that the flight they should be on exploded and crashed. So my father and his colleagues saved and alive, he then reminded my mother about my warning. So i can see the future. My gift back then oftenly made neighbors to use me to tell them lottery numbers that will win out, but i had a spesific tendency to refuse to use my gift for that sort of things. I always stayed quite and never answered for that. Like acknowledging something had forbade me.
Another day my family went to my father uncle's house and while they were sitting around and having conversation, i suddenly said that " This house looked different and the fence's color was also different" and i showed some little details in that house that also are different. My father's uncle asked him if he ever took me to his house back then because it's true that the house and everything has changed and it was over past years ago, and ofcourse my father said never and that that was his first time took his family to his uncle's house since he had children. And i wasn't born at the time the house was in different look. That was one of my gift to see the past.
My mother also told me that i used to talk with something that adults can't see like one night when it was over my bedtime and my mother told me to go to bed, i said " My friend doesn't want to go home while i'm already so sleepy and really wanted to go to bed."
And my mother also said that i could cure people. When a neighbour had an illness, i crunched paper and put it in a glass of water and asked him to drink it, he thought i was joking at that time but just to make me, this little girl then, happy so he drank it. The next day he felt so fresh and strong and not feeling sick anymore.
So what am i ? An indigo ? But i feel like i didn't have those things anymore since i was in elementary school. My father's friend who used to this kind of things ever told him that if i still have those gifts when i reached my menstruation moment, i'll be a bless to my family and could help people to avoid bad things and to be saved or cured. But that is not what happend. I just don't have those anymore now. Can it really be back to happend to me again ? How ?

When my son was little, we lived in a home built in 1927. When he was about 3 or 4, he was playing in his room while I was in the kitchen with my then future daughter in law (my son’s much older brother). My son came into the kitchen and said, “why is the lady crying?” My daughter in law and I looked at each other, “what lady?” “The lady in my room.” At that moment my dog walked to the hallway and began growling and let out one bark in the direction of the kid’s bedroom. When all was settled down, I asked if he had seen the lady before. He nodded yes.
My husband later met the man who owned the home for years. He said the original owner, a man named John, lost his wife in the home and had to raise his two sons by himself.

My parents always think that I am a « miracle baby ». Everytime, I was close to death. On my day of birth, my mom almost didn’t reach the hospital because of some traffic. One day after I left the hospital where I was born, the hospital burnt. My baby sitters all ran away on their first day when I was less than 2 years old, saying that I was the devil without giving any explanation and without taking the money. I was always extremely afraid of showers without explanation. When I was 3, I had a vision (I didn’t know if it was dream or not) where a tiger attacked me and I could feel his paws on my body and his fangs near me. He disappeared when I screamed. When I was 8, I went to swim in a beach and there was big waves coming. We were told to leave the water immediately but I was little, my parents were far away and I couldn’t reach the beach in time. I took the wave and got trapped maybe more than a minute underwater before the wave put me back on the ground at the last moment, when I was losing my breath.
At 9, I started to have hallucinations during random moments. I could hear things that people couldn’t hear and it give me panic attack. I still have them but I don’t panic anymore, I just feel uncomfortable.
At 13, I started to draw ducks that represented my friends and everytime I was thinking of something bad happening to them (because I was always worried), it happened to them in the exact way I thought and in the exact order I gave them the ducks. It worked till the end of middle school, then this « power » disappear because I forgot how to make the ducks.
At 14, my school got evacuated after someone threaten to put a bomb inside of it to make everything explode. Fortunately, we could go back to school after the police clean the area.
When I was 16, I was on my way back from school and I fall on the ground because there wasn’t any space for people to walk correctly near my house. And a car was coming very fast and I felt someone pulling me back by the t-shirt. I avoid the car at the last time and when I turned around to thanks the person, there was nobody.

    Two comments here:
Up until I learned how to control my temper, I, too, would end up "popping" light bulbs. Only, they would flare brighter for a split second and would never work again. Tbh, I'm not sure I mastered the tempercontrol thing or these newer bulbs aren't as easy to "pop". Along this, I drained watch batteries within a month, I set off all kinds of detectors (as in those security things stores have, this was back when more rural stores were finally getting them), and the clincher - the time my fellow students & I were to tour the FBI place in DC, and I kept setting off alarms just by walking - I ended up sitting with a (very low-level) agent drinking soda while everyone else got the tour. Even more odd, after this happened & I was home, I told my parents - Mother immediately assumed I was lieing. Father actually looked interested and asked me questions about it (considering his securityclearance at his job, I knew by then that my behavior could cause him to lose that clearance). We both realized - the FBI had likely encountered that same thing before, or were consumate poker players. Other than being pulled from the tour, nothing BAD happened - I was reunited with my curious fellow students, and I had absolutely nothing to share about WHY (it had to be annoying to have to constantly reset alarms - like, I'd walk past a door that had "authorized personel only", a keypad type thing -I really don't remember the security setup, my own tour lasted 10 minutes max- that alarm would go off - most, I think, were "silent", cus I only remember the detectors at the beginning making a horrid noise, but I KNEW something was "off". I FELT it. Then, one of my chaperones was approached, they chatted, and I was led away WITH the chaperone.) The tour was an hour or two long for the group, total, but at no time did anyone make me feel odd or like I was in trouble for what was going on. I never got any real explanations other than "The alarms kept going off, and its SAFER for you to remain in here." I did get kind of questioned - in the form of casual conversation (bear in mind this was pre-cell phone, pre-anything tech-cool other than laptops that were bulky) - things like, "I see you don't wear a watch." And in my naive way and being taught that you cannot ignore adults, I explained why. Nodding, smile. A few other gentle questions like, "When you came in, I was the one who had to use the wand (hand-hald metal detector) on you because the other one beeped. Does that happen often?" Yes, and explained how annoying and frustration it could be. I have an uncle with the same issue. Either tech has improved to block whatever we do/energy field we have, or its died down. I still can't wear a watch with a battery, though.
Second story: when my son was born, I looked into his eyes, and suddenly I understood something - until a certain point, babies, toddlers, and pre-schoolers (and other special ones into adult-hood - like Savants, those with moderate to severe neurodivergence, etc - are connected to something much bigger than us - God, the Universe, I don't know. It's as we grow and develop, as we take in more from around us and are basically "programmed" to be who we'll be.. that connection gets weaker. I don't think its lost completely - I think in some it becomes so rarely used it's basically rust, but it's there. At the core of it are those "gut feelings". But... until it's "programmed" out of us, this connection is why kids sometimes pipe up with some truly bizarre or scary things. They just KNOW (and yet can't remember other things we consider "basic", such as flushing a toilet every time lol). Some, if not all, can also see things wecannot, due to that connection. It gets driven out by the adults saying things like "that couldn't happen", etc. It starts that disconnection process.
I actively encouraged my son to keep looking at the world with his unique ways. Colored a picture of a horse in rainbow shades & insist he saw one like that - I'd grin and say, "Wow, THAT was a lucky day, wasn't it?" (In my head, it was pure imagination - with that seed of "well, maybe I'm wrong... maybe he has that connection we adults crave, but grew out of).
I still don't know, but while he grew out of odd-colored people, places, animals... stopped talking about "past life" stuff (he was in kindergarten or 1st then)... and he's long known my story of looking into his brand-new eyes and KNOWING... he's very creative, and yet... still pretty much an average young man (still special in my own eyes). He didn't inherit the issue with batteries/alarms/light bulbs, thankfully... lol.

I've heard that people have an electrical charge or field. You can get your "aura" photographed, which is interesting, and your electrical field can complete a circuit. @@LANouveau I had my aura photographed... actually, 1 with just me, 1 with my partner. He refrained from his own being done. The photographer did my own first, and it showed a rather large purple & blue shape around my head (the part he photographs - he didn't do full-body). He seemed a bit surprised, but then, when we took the pic together, he was even more surprised. My partner's aura was the exact same as mine - you can see where they SHOULD "overlap", but my own completely obliterated his except a tiny bit on the far side, which showed more blue (and a touch of yellow) than purple. Photographer said it was the strongest aura he'd seen (and he'd been doing this for over 10 years), and he'd seen a few similar - where one aura would overpower the other, but nothing to that extent. It would be more like it would encroach up to halfway, but nothing like mine. Most of those, he said, looked like they overlapped - didn't obliterate.
He asked a few pointed questions and we went on our way.
I hadn't thought of that in years... we did this over 13 years ago. I never connected the two, or a few other things that just occurred to me... like the fact that being around others - even just 1 person - drains me. This makes sense in a way... my aura ... electrical field... is so strong/big it interacts with others. It explains why, as I've gotten older, I don't touch people (I used to be the kind to easily hug, to touch a hand, etc... even pre-pandemic, I had long stopped it, cus I realized 2 things - not everyone likes it, and it drained me FASTER). It explains why, with partner, he gets ENERGIZED just by being near me, talking with me (if you think of words as "bundles of energy passing from one to another"), etc... but I grow increasingly fatigued, irritable, etc... I now tell him "my ears are tired. I am interested in this conversation, but I just... can't. I have to rest a bit." I have yet to meet ANYONE who "energizes" me the way I see my partner (or my friends, etc) get energized by myself. I used to have to try to "escape" for a few minutes to reset/rejuvenate, but 90% of the time, I'd get followed within a few minutes! It was confusing to me, how I'd ask to be alone for at least 5-10 minutes (and they'd agree), but within 3 minutes, there they would be, continuing on. There were times I wanted to scream, because both he and my (now adult, then-teen) son would BOTH wander over to me like that, and I started feeling trapped, cornered, and yet so DRAINED... like I was going to fizzle out if they didn't leave me alone for just a few more minutes.
Yet, at the same time, I had no idea how to explain the feeling without sounding ungrateful to have them in my life, in my home, in my heart. I just kept moving around, room to room to keep "hanging on".
Ever since I finally (sadly, in the past year), explained to my partner these struggles, and am able to say y ears are tired", that I no longer require 12 hours of sleep to feel fully rested & restored.
I had given so much before, but the only way for me to restore is to rest?
I dunno... its another thing to keep pondering. Just my random thoughts here lol.

@@LANouveau unfortunately, rationing (along with associated health issues, including some pretty bad neuro issues) means I might leave my house/yard... 3-4 times a year for sure, as they are required doc visits... maybe 2 or 3 times a year otherwise.
Annnd... I realized another thing. For 2 years, we had an apartment that shared one whole side with the one next to us... and those 2 years (prior to us finding this place), that other apartment contained a sociopath. He threatened my life numerous times, tried to break in, we could hear him screaming next door, etc. Police did nothing. NOTHING.
It was during this time that my health took a nose-dive. It was so bad that for 5 years, I was mostly bed-bound... I'm slowly regaining myself, moving around more, feel better, etc (but I have to be careful).
Those 2 years, I was ALWAYS drained. I could sleep 36 hours at a time (only waking long enough to use the bathroom and drink some water - I couldn't stay awake long enough to even eat).
That guy was worse than an energy vampire (and I've met a few). He was a huge black hole. I couldn't avoid him. He was too close (proximity). Even the furthest spot away in my apartment was too close. I couldn't even go outside, cus he would ALWAYS pop out and harrass me - making my energy levels amplified so he could drain it? I dunno.
Partner would take me to places I COULD relax... there was a lake an hour away I loved as well as the local library (very small) which was also good - not as great as the lake, but pretty good (and much, MUCH closer lol).
Come to think of it... it was around that time that I noticed my "abilities" with electrical stuff had diminished... hmm.

I was planning a vacation to Disney World with my 2 daughters and had a strange feeling it might be our last time together. It was a just a passing feeling that I ignored as nothing.
A few days before we left, my daughter handed me a wallet size picture of herself and said, "Don't forget me mom". I thought that's was an odd thing to say but dismissed it. We had a great vacation and took loads of pictures. She died a week later. "Don't forget me mom" is seared into my brain now.
I am so grateful that we got to have our last vacation!!

According to my mother, I used to argue with her when I was a tot and she called me by name. I would correct her and say, "No, my name is Ammy." I can dimly remember thinking that I was living with people who didn't even know me.

My youngest daughter always had some strange experiences or would say some of the wall things that we just knew she saw things we didn't. There's so many stories. But my youngest son said the scariest thing he was about 3 and we were sitting on the couch at his grandma's house and he said I don't want to. And I looked over at him and asked what. He said, he told me to kill you but I don't want to; he said it so sad but casual. That scared the living crap out of me. I believe the name was Tommy he would talk about but he never said these strange things before his grandma got this doll from a wedding. She finally took the doll out of the living room and I think put it in the attic and he never talked about him again. But it was a scary couple weeks.

Its refreshing to read everyone's personal experiences because when I told my mother I was having reoccurring dreams about dying as a child.....she didnt believe me..... i had the same dream for months. I was a little girl in another country, poor, and was in some type of traditional clothing. I was playing with my doll and my mother (I'm assuming) told me to hurry and run to the downstairs basement. We huddled under the basement steps, I looked out of a small window and bombs began to fall from the sky......and that was it. The dream was over. I believe that is when I died. CREEPY
