MAZEY DAY brings 2 DOUBLE HEADED DIESEL RAILTOURS! Final tour of GBRF liveried 50s + LSL Class 47's!

Saturday kicked off with Pathfinder Railtours Mazey Day Cornishman railtour to Penzance. This is the last time Class 50’s 50007 ‘Hercules’ and 50049 ‘Defiance’ will be seen in their striking @gbrailfreight livery, before going back into British Railways large logo blue livery, and so certainly not one to miss! The pair are firstly seen thundering past Fordgate on the 1Z69 Dorridge - Penzance.
Hot on the heels of the Class 50’s, the Statesman tour led by Scotrail liveried 47712 ‘Lady Diana Spencer’ and two tone green 47810 ‘Crewe Diesel Depot’ is seen racing past Fordgate with the Southbound 1Z64 Wolverhampton - Penzance, before both returning services are seen, firstly the 47s slowing towards Bridgwater with the return 1Z65 retracing steps to Wolverhampton, followed a short time later by the 50s speeding the 1Z70 past Huntworth. | 29.06.2024
