Same, at least Hibert's became close to the original. I realize that the whole thing is a bit bunk, saying only black people should voice black characters. Mainly because it actually violates one simple labor regulation that has existed for a long time... Considering applying to voice a specific voice role is also a job. People apply for an exact role, for example "Employee A wants to voice this black character, so they apply for the job to voice them.. But since they are white they get blocked.." Thus violates part of the labor laws all jobs MUST abide by. The specific labor law being: "Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964", which is enforced by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). To sum this up, this law forbids employers from restricting ANYONE trying to get a job they apply for regardless of their gender, religion, place of origin, race or even color. Doesn't matter if you are white or black, ALL are to be treated as equals, given an equal chance in being employed. Voicing a specific character IS a job.

The grand majority of live-action adaptations try to cast actors that are reasonably similar to how the characters looked before, and any live-action film that has race, gender, etc. as a theme are bound to cast specific characters with specific people.
to be fair, Lisa's been shown this like a dozen times by now. The show has gone on for too long. I believe the first time was with Mr. Burns like over a decade ago.

Yeah, if this represents the quality of recent Simpsons seasons, people who call Simpsons good again simply are wrong. The writing here is not good. It's possible the writing can only be sufficiently appreciated in context, but this is like season 14 quality at best.
