Killing dima doesn't remove this quest if you've already activated it before hand :///////////
Janky blocks, puzzle 2, puzzle 3, puzzle 4, and puzzle 5
Top 5 reasons to quit Fallout
Worst Part of Fallout 4...
I disagree the blue screen is worse (I play Ps4)
Personally, I found the first four iterations of it to be quite fun. F*** the fifth one though.
Jack Bennett I couldn’t do them at all the first time, but once you have over 1000 hours in the game nothings phases you anymore
I've been doing this for 3 hours
Benevolent leader is worse
I just want you to know, 7 years on, and this video is still helping people. I would NOT have gotten through number 5 without this.
Yeah but i wish he showed the process a bit more I had to improvise some areas
Yeeeeah I was gonna say the verbal instructions aren’t helping cus he says to point at the sphere but in the footage that is NOT where the beam is going
Hardly helping this shits all over the fucking place
Yes I know. The first 4 were easy (4th making you think a bit)
But this 5th one…. I can’t even find where he’s going in the video… upside down sphere ? Where ?
This quest makes me want to break my arms with a Super Sledge.
Yes
@as.collectibles correction fallout in general
@Asım Şenol I don't know what's worse this quest or how disorienting this youtube video is

@@thefryingdutchman8795 the video was great
Who thought this belonged in a Fallout game? It's as if one of the developers was looking for an excuse to shoehorn in some other game he was working on. Puzzle 5 made me rage quit.
Thagomizer this video still doesn’t help me
I think mine is glitched(or bugged if you like puns) cause not only does it take forever for the bugs to make it over but once they FINALLY get across without falling off a ledge, they wanna head straight back which is into the wall or corner and end up dying. Omg let at least get past the damned tutorial.
@@Aaroncarter95 happened to me too, first time doing this dlc and by far I'm not enjoying it
@@caitlinspry6278 I finally finished it. Took me loading an old save and it fixed. I was so mad at it I didn't wanna savour the dlc any more and quickly finished things. I try to play where everybody gets a fait shot but CoA is not a faction I actually care about. Playing it through finds 2 of the 3 sides aren't that good. Only the people at far harbor seems decent and you know it's bad when they are the better of 3 options. No i nuked CoA and said screw the balance. They were trying to wipe everybody out.
All of my damn red robots explode when they die which isn’t supposed to happen and it annoys me to all hell
DiMA giving me this mission was more than enough reason to betray him to the brotherhood. Screw. You. DiMA.
Sully The Man but it’s good to learn about what happened to nick and Dima because it’s interesting, I’m actually doing it right now Xd
Sully The Man agreed
Very true
I'm going to do that what do I have to join The Brotherhood first
I'm 2 years late, and what DiMA actually deserves is you destroy far harbor to piss him off, then you destroy the nucleus to piss him off anymore, then bring the BOS in and fuck 'em up.
No Fallout 4 quest has ever been as properly named as this quest.
Agreed
Bro I had to change my controls just to jump
puzzle five is "best left forgotten*
never again.
All of them are "best left forgotten". It's easy to figure out what to do within thirty seconds of starting a level, but then you have to spend fifteen to twenty minutes just building structures and breaking them down again.
I loved Far Harbor, but who the fuck signed off on these levels?
Last one u can just make the turrets shoot it and the barrier to away. Works beet it.
I haven't found all the stuff, I went and found 1 of the treasures you get from it, but am wondering was it really worth it. No so far, sad . I love puzzle games, but this one wow lol
@@dansparks1454 That's one thing I'm glad Bethesda never bothered to patch.
@@dansparks1454 how do you do that ???
I was having so much fun with you, Far Harbor... until you pulled THIS B.S.

i spent an inordinate amount of time trying to solve the final puzzle before caving in and watching this.

This ruined the whole dlc for me

I wouldn't go that far but it is by far the least enjoyable part of the DLC or the game in general.
Agggh, I hated every second of this. This and the final boss of Quantum Break.
I shamelessly use a mod to skip it. I've played the game three times and did it legit each time, imo that's a goddamn rite of passage to just skip this mess from then on
@@ianbarnard5883 lol...I agree 100%
Not ashamed to admit I could not complete this puzzle without this walkthru. I completed Puzzles 1-4, no sweat. This one, I got one red barrier down and was like yeah nope
5th one can be "cheated" - build your cannons right infront of that wall and these will destroy that wall - by just firing on enemies. EDITED 2021: You want your "cannons" do hit the "wall emitor" while firing on enemies - this may take a minute or two, but keeps you sane for the rest of your lives! ;)
Vlastimil Jun holy f'ing shi-- You saved me big time! I did everything he showed in the video, but for some reason my blocks just vanished. I did what you said and it worked! I was getting so frustrated and I was saved by a glitch.
This actually works?
Yep, just did it. Wasted 30 minutes trying to figure out the last part
Jesus christ thank you for that man such a big help
Are you fucking kidding me.. that's all I had to do... this puzzle made me choose to blow up the nucleus. It also made me tell the BOS about dima and take him too
I thought the institute was annoying because you couldn't get out unless you complete a quest but now dima has taken it to the next level.
7 years later & I STILL HATE THIS MINIGAME
Ive been at it for a few hours and my game crashed 💀💀
I need help cuz i cant jump on ps4 and i cant beat memory 3
Go into the console and type the following before using the computer to enter DiMA's VR world. Then play all the new audio files on the computer to continue the quest. This bypasses the puzzles. No more silly Minecraft Fallout.

YOU ARE AN ANGEL!!! I HOPE EVERYTHING GOOD IN THE UNIVERSE BE ON YOU!!!!!! THANKSSSSSS
DiMA is shaking in his boots rn
This level alone made me quit the game for a month, it's so unesassarily pace-killing and the already funky snap-mechanics combined with already way too claustrophobic building space and that sometimes it won't even spawn all the blocks you need (my game actually gave me one decoder short of completing the last puzzle) and you have a very irritated customer.
I actually blew up Dima as soon as I finished the level.
"(my game actually gave me one decoder short of completing the last puzzle)" Dude, that's impossible, I don't believe you.
@@peterlindstrom4233 Well it happened, I was too busy cursing Todd Howard to record footage, and is it really so hard to believe a Bethesda game will hardlock you out of content?
Food for thought; Bethesda have had softlock and hardlock bugs in basically every single one of their games.
Did you watch that level on this vid? Because I thought this and it's why I looked it up. In the sphere where you first use 3 redirection cubes, you take those allll out and instead feed the green tube by directing the laser across through the sphere in opposite direction. You need 1 less to do a l_l shape starting from the middle pyramid. Rather than the straight at sphere and swirl in the middle.
You sure you didn't just misplace one? What you described sounds exactly like what happened to me, but I looked all around the level and found my last decoder in the upside down pyramid from when I placed it in error and forgot about it
i just downloaded a mod to skip that entire part of the quest. it was the most tedious thing ive ever seen in a bethesda game.
because you are stupid doesn't mean puzzle is tedious
***** because you like tedious boring shit doesnt mean everyone else does.
***** there is a reason most puzzle games are extremely niche.
***** admit it you like boring move the block simulators. it was not difficult, it was not challenging or engaging in any way. it was nothing but boring and your fanboying doesnt change that.

The full story on how this mission gave me hemroids
Part 479. It's so annoying. I can't get past the tutorial and it's cause my bugs are suicidal.
Hell it gave me prostate cancer
I got severely frustrated by the placement mechanics of these quests. I guess I have to be in a special kind of mood to use the settlement building system. It was pretty close to blockcraft games, so I breezed through them till the last. Got to the point of feeling like throwing the controller through the screen, so I took a break.
Seeing Oxhorn's process for #5, it seems that it's complicated enough to allow things to be done in different orders. I actually went Pyramid > Left > Right > saw the block cache and grabbed it, then started working the final 2. It's comforting to see that I was on the right track.
My plan, now, is to do it once, and never again. Nice change of pace, but the placement mechanics....
9:41 dude could not explain that any worse
who thought this was a good idea?
Bethesda who else
TODD HOWARD
Hopefully someone who doesn’t work there anymore
I hate this mission so much...
7 years later , still helpful. Thank you !!
Only just found the patience to complete this DLC after all this time! What a dog shit mission!
@@craigpage2638 it really was. The worst part was after I did that , the save was corrupted and I had to do them all again lmao
What I like about you is you speak very clearly and at a pace that isn't rushed and not mumbled like a lot of these CZcams tutorials.
Thanks for the help man, worst part of fallout I’ve ever played
5:45 if you’re here for puzzle 5 most frustrating part of fallout 4
Next time you wanna do a walkthrough don't edit how you did something and cut it from the rest of everyone else and then make them figure out what you did, it's like here this walkthrough but I'm gonna cut all the important parts
Exactly. It's a good but also terrible video. I kept having to pause and go frame by frame to see what he did
Fucking THANK YOU. God man it was like having a seizure.
Oh hey, this is the quest that gave me a mental break down!
Even after watching this I still struggled with puzzle 5... I was hoping it would've been easier.
i think this whole section is best left forgotten
please someone love me
So true
logan parton I would have liked your comment if you haven't begged for it
Logan I’m here for you. You’re not alone. I’ll help you find the other X Men.
Love yourself first mate
ha I felt like such a twat when I played this. I got to the last puzzle without knowing you could store all the cubes. so the first 4 I was moving the cubes 1 by 1 and it took me aaaaaages. on the last puzzle I pressed circle while highlighting one and whatdya know it stored it
XD
This is exactly what I did too. I also didn't realise you could rotate the cubes too 😂
if i find out i got tricked into playing mind craft.
thanks, Oxhorn! even with your walk-through frustrating, fell more times than I can count on my digits. Cracked open a Lagavulin 16 and having a wee tipple in tribute.
I Have Spent 6 Hours On This Quest. I Have Had 0 Sleep...Thank You So Much For This Video 3X
Wouldn’t have passed this mission without this video
Thank you for your video, helped me out with the last two memories. You are so clear and precise and easy to understand, not like others.
i think dimas brain should be left alone
drug fiend do you mean best left forgotten
So I tried to do the starting puzzle, the fuckin' A.I. glitched and would stay in the corner at the start, and if it moved up, it would double back and go with the others.
Thank you so much Oxhorn
, you've made a great work
Never would have figured it out myself, thanks Oxhorn!!
Awesome thank you for the guide. I would never figure this out without your help
Thanks! I never want to do that 5th puzzle ever again! I did it legitimately once but I'm glad it's possible to cheat it.
Thank you so much! I had been on the fifth one for hours and this was the video that finally completed it for me 🙏
6 years later. Still helped me out. Thanks bro!
Without your help, I’d be lost. Thanks Oxhorn!
Wanted to play fallout 4 again... I’d rather play 76 that’s this 🤦♂️🤦♂️ and that’s saying a lot
I’d rather kill myself then play SHITSHOW 76.
Half the vid is puzzle 5
8 Years later & i am extremely grateful for this tut, Thanks!
It took 7yrs to wipe this feature from my memory, and now it's back
I already knew those solutions and I still enjoyed the video. p.s. I have to admit the configuration you used for the last puzzle was much more efficient than mine too.
"Double glazed and left out to cool" I'd like a shirt please 😂
Years later and still a really helpful guide!! Thanks for the help!!
Did all of them in 30 minutes thanks to your guide. Thanks a lot Man
Bro skips too much
Took an hour to get through this video to be honest
there a easier way to do the 5th puzzle
P0ELaHa make the turrets shoot the red blocks and they will disappear
Hey thanks oxhorn this part really stumped me keep up the good work with your lore videos they are the best ✌️
Thanks man. I wouldn't of even gotten close without this vid.
OMG I DIDN'T KNOW YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO DO 4 OR 5! I HAD 4 EASY PEASY, BUT I LOOKED THIS UP FOR 5! THANK YOU!
The most stupid part of the whole game
Thank you oxhorn you have my sincerest thanks.
I know this is an old video, but thank you! I just got around to Far Harbor and would have rage quite without this guide for puzzle 5. Great recap/pllaythrough
There was a glitch on the last puzzle that all you had to do was place the defense units near the data stream. Not sure of it's been patched or not.
Can anyone confirm if this was ever patched or not?
Nope. Just did it on ps4. I was working on the last puzzle for about an hour and a half before I gave in
December 5th 2021, still working. Xbox 1.
this quest is the reason I will never complete far harbors main quest again
To be fair, only the first three are actually required to progress the main quest and they're not too bad.
Perfectly done, thank you Ox
Enjoying the content Oxhorn👍
I really enjoyed these puzzles. Took me a fair while to complete them all though.
i cursed alot because oxhorn barelyb helped me also i broke my damn mouse
Git gud
Like usual, ol' boy, you come in clutch! Thank you, Sir. I appreciate that. I nearly broke my friends controller trying to figure this part out lmao. This Marine Armor is gonna be so worth it
Thank you so much lmao. I’ve been stuck on this for ever
Took me awhile to figure it out but I used the ol’ noggin and finally got it.😊
Really liked these puzzles, not too difficult not too easy, pretty quick to get through if you know what your doing. A nice change of pace compared to the foggy horror that is the rest of Far Harbor.
I liked the pace just fine and didn't think it needed to be changed. It's the worst part not just of this DLC but of the entire game.
The only walkthrough that’s easy, and interesting to watch
Cheers ox for the help as I would be clueless without you guide especially for the last puzzle 👍
I'll be one of the first commentators here to say I actually enjoyed these puzzle sections. Atop all the shooting and managing settlements and all that, it's quite refreshing to exercise my brain a little.
You're lucky you have the mental capacity to enjoy this. I sure didn't.
I agree, this was interesting to accomplish. The last puzzle really approached Portal territory.
I enhjoyed working this out. Lets face it, you are supposed to be accessing DIMA's memory stack which have security problems to solve. It is a bit like Kellogs memory where you had to follow the paths. Does break up the constant back and forth of FH a bit.
montanus777 the good thing is that you can always back out of any puzzle and go deal with something elsewhere, like a settlement defense notification ... then return to the puzzle where you left off!
the whole problem is that people payed for this game to recive all the shooting and managing settlements and all that. they did not buy a fps rpg shooter because they wanted to exercise their brain a little sometimes, some people might actually buy this game becaue that would be one of types of games rhey enjoy and rhey might not enjoy puzzle games
I just gave up because I lost my sanity and got the mod that allows you to skip this quest entirely. This quest is literally worse then Fallout 76.
It was so easy…
This may be 4 years old but it's so useful lol
Thanks, Oxhorn, you're a real pal.
Never Again
Dude!!! Thank you so much! That last one was a pain. ❤❤❤❤❤
You are an absolute savior you legend love you and keep it up man
Thank you for making this walkthrough I had no idea what to do and neither did my father who literally knew more about the game than I did
Thank you, I hated every moment of these missions and you made it 1000% easier thank you x
Thank you so much oxhorn!!

Thank you for this. I was stuck on number 5 and almost drove myself insane trying to figure it out lol
Thank you oxhorn. Thank you so much. Thank you SO much 😭
