Great content as usual. I will definitely make some changes in my quick solo games. out of campaigns I keep playing Rhino or Klaw to test deck but I feel bored. So I will definitely have a look to change. Really like the kind of escape- scenarios such as Sinister six.
Thanks Max! I used to play tons of Rhino/Klaw too haha. My favorite decktester for a long time used to be Thanos but games with him can be a bit longer. He’s challenging, can’t be stun/confused, has few minions but they WILL come out with the Soul Stone, and has few side schemes. I like this because it doesn’t allow my decks to abuse minions/side schemes/statuses.
Great video, we have some in common for sure. I appreciate that you rank them as "favorites" rather than "best/strongest"! I have a couple slots to fill in February and I think I'll do one of these as well!
Great list, thanks for all the effort! Im still getting to grips with the game but i certainly had my brain blasted when thanos snapped half my deck 😳 😅 😭 mr. Webwarrior, i don't feel so good 😂
I play Absorbing Man every now and then. Like what most of the MC community has said, AM is the new Rhino. Having his attributes change depending on the location is a breath of fresh air. But with his low health, AM feels like a pushover. Risky Business isn't half bad. I can see why people say that you can game the scenario. But I'm a fan of Norman/Goblin, so seeing a villain going into alter ego is fun to watch.
Thanks for your comment Alex! I can see AM being able to be easily rushed down. I may have evaluated with a build out approach in mind. I’m also a huge fan of Risky Business and when i play it with my wife who doesn’t care about his mechanic, it gets dicey and is a lot of fun 🤣
Hey Fanatic, I just recently started playing Marvel Champions and I have to say that I really like it. I just don't really know in which order I should tackle the villains. Do you perhaps have the opportunity to make a video for newcomers about the ranking of the villains in standard and perhaps make a cross-reference to the multiplayer. I have 1 or 2 friends who would also be interested, but who have lost a little courage since our last multiplayer experience against Ultron. Best regards 😊
Hey man! Welcome to Marvel Champions 😁 I’m really glad you’re enjoying the game. I’d love to make a video like that and will keep it mind. I have a prior commitment of making tier lists for all the cards currently. It’ll also take quite a few months to play through the standard scenarios unfortunately. Since I’m still relatively new to the game, I’ve only played villains on expert and only have about 5-10 villains that I’ve experienced in standard. I think I have a video that can help you: czcams.com/video/79T-IhXc5gs/video.htmlsi=d7dLPR83r5G1zl5O I rank the villains in expert in difficulty for true solo, but 85% of the villains scale proportionally from solo -> multi and standard -> expert. Each time there is a huge difference, I explain why in the video. For example Green Goblin Mutagen Formula is very easy in standard, and he’s a rare exception that spikes much higher in expert because he deals 2 encounter cards to each player before the player has a chance to setup. I hope this helps! If you have any questions feel free to ask 😁
Ronan is way too stressful for most of us, but you explained well why you like it and I get it. Very interesting list, seems like most peole (including me) like Magneto, Juggernaut and the Sinister Six. My favorites are definitely Magneto, Juggernaut, Mutagen Formula, Venom and Spiral in this order. Hela, Ultron, Red Skull, Sinister Six and Venom Goblin are in my top 10, but I don't know if I can put them in order from 6th to 10th place, I like them more or less equally.
I like almost everyone in your list. All of your top favorites were at some point my top favorites although some have dropped for varying reasons but i can definitely see their appeal. Very interesting seeing Spiral (this is the second time I’ve heard her mentioned but before this I didn’t know anything about her).
Thanks for the video! I still haven't played Galaxy Most Wanted and Next Evolution, so my list is incomplete. Actually I only find not so fun Absorbing Man and Wrecking Crew, near no challenge at all. Spiral is probalbly the hardest I faced until now. Haven't beat her.
Thanks for watching, Oreste! Very interesting to hear that Spiral is your hardest. I haven’t heard much about her… I feel like she’s a pretty underrated villain then.
@@webwarriorfanatic Before her, worst cases for me were Red Skull and Magneto. 2 tentatives both before win. With Spiral, 5 tentatives with Gambit protection and Rogue justice. Maybe sub optimal deck building mixed to a bad luck streak... Her swords are very nasty...
My list is almost totally different! Only agreement is Loki - his epic grind is exacerbated by the Infinity deck which also mostly slows you down as a player. I find Sandman like Rhino on easy mode as he has 2 more threat on his scheme, he doesn't feel rushed at all to me almost the opposite as you waste actions removing sand counters slowing everything down. Mojo is the reverse, far too rushed to be fun for me. Hela is a favourite of mine, and I do not really recognise the issue with getting tapped, at least not as something that happens too much, I would say that's probably bad variance. She has massive threat too so flipping quite a lot is very feasible, though I have threated out from 1. (She doesn't have the Enchantress as standard but if someone was playing Valkyrie that might come out). Nebula is a villain I play on Standard with the expert cards where she is far less frustrating. I am still a big fan of Mutagen Formula though it is one of the scenarios where you most want to blitz the last stage in a turn. The initial pressure can be anticlimactic but other times it can take ages to sort out so you feel threatened for a good part of the game, or lose. It also takes other modular sets well - Goblin Gimmicks is pretty tame.
Very interesting points! For Sandman, I definitely see that. I kept getting an encounter that added so many sand counters so that might’ve skewed my experience. For Hela, I didn’t have a bad time with her on solo. I know she’s a popular scenario, I like her design but I didnt love it. Maybe I’ll try her again in multiplayer and see if the group likes it 🤣 For Green Goblin, that’s true. I missed out on the point that you usually want to burst him down to avoid the encounter cards. For multiplayer we usually just take the encounter cards so that’s why my experience has been more anticlimactic these days.
Hahaha thanks! Mysterio is a very well designed scenario, I just absolutely hate those encounter cards in my deck so it’s definitely my bias coming through 🤣
Definitely. He reminds me of Mystique’s mod set (I feel like you might like that one) and while I think it’s one of the most thematic and cool sets in the game, I hate it sooo much because of the encounter cards infiltrating my deck.
@@Bumbum_Inspector Same. But to be fair, I love Avengers and Guardians too. Actually, just anything Marvel hahaha… Loki’s one of my favorite villains so it sucks I don’t like facing him in Champions. Hoping to get a Loki hero 🤞🏻
My top 3 villains are Mysterio, Juggernaut, and The Hood. I really like how Hood feels like a race and the variance he can have, while Juggernaut is a brutal fist fight with a terrifying villain. I can relate with Mysterio being annoying, but I also really like how different his mod sets are and how his kit works. My most hated 3 villains (I don't own them all and haven't fought them all so my experience also is based on this) are Mutagen Formula, Project Wideawake, and Arnim Zola. If you can't tell, I really dislike minion heavy missions. Ultron for some reason doesn't bother me as much as these 3, I couldn't tell you why though.
Wow that’s a very unique list. Yea I can tell you really hate minions hahaha. I’m surprised to see you didn’t mind Ultron, he’s actually the one where the minions annoy me the most. At the same time, I agree with you how Ultron is a lot of fun. I’m really interested to try the hood, I’ve heard a lot of good things about him.
@@webwarriorfanatic Hood needs 7 mods of your choice, which makes him a new encounter every time. His mods he comes with are fine, but I find adding Tombstone and a group mod set (Inheritors, Reavers, etc.) to be quite a challenge.
No! I have not played anything other than recommended so far. I definitely plan to and am excited to, but want to get a feel for how the scenario was intended first.
I'm so thankful you mentioned removing all the technique attachments from Nebula. I have been playing that they all stay on her all game and she keeps getting more and more powerful then we just lose.
Excited to watch this. Keep it up man
Thank you! Hope you enjoy this video :)

Risky business is easy, but fun because it's unique being the only one that the villain goes into alter-ego
I do really like that idea. Especially that it’s Norman Osborn!
