Call Me By Your Name is so great because it's a love story that just so happens to be between two men. They never focus on the fact that it's a gay love story. It's simply a love story. And with love, often also comes heartbreak.... I loved that about the movie so much.
The Academy Awards (OSCARS) To Whom It May Concern, I/We the Public Viewers expressing our dissatisfaction with omitted one particular actor Mr.Armie Hammer from the film CMBYN for the upcoming Award Ceremony. More and more people are sharing the same opinion, why is Mr.Armie Hammer is not mentioned for the Best Supporting Actor Category..Having said that we are very much grateful for the nomination of Mr. Timothee Chalamet for the Category of Best Actor, who is no doubt deserves to be on the list. Recognizing the best Best Actor Category is as much as important as the role of the Best Supporting Actor, one always compliment the other and vice-versa. Mr. Hammer has shown dedication to his body of work since he started as an Actor, please lets put aside the fact that he comes from a wealthy family, that seems hinders him to go further to his chosen path and to ignore his parents advise not pursue the acting career. I/We have watched the film CMBYN, we all cried, for those who are brave enough to show their vulnerability in front of everybody in Cinema, affected by how good the actors are. But the question is why " The Oscars " should reconsider Mr.Armie Hammer to that category for that film is because he gives you that very essence of a Movie star when he comes into the room -- it also doesn't hurt that he is one good looking man, let us be honest Movie goers desire for that (my opinion)and here's why---- 1) that are truly immersed in his role as Oliver, he gives that vulnerability, going to that emotion, got scrutinized by fellow actor 2) that he ignored that hesitation of taking the role, for that very important reason is his children, that one day they'll see the movie, 3) that he gives the character the true feeling, expression of being in love (when we all know that is just acting) to another man 4) that actor should be rewarded not just for that long monologue that defines an " OSCARS "worthy, but what he brings to the camera when one does not say a string of words or lines...that face emotion, body language. 5) Finally is his "EYE" Yes, Sir/Madam, he has that ability to talk to his audience without saying anything but by just look at you, that eye expression, he manages to seduce all of us not only Elio's character but also telling us how vulnerable is that character...the eye has a mind of its own.. So why not give him that nomination that he deserves for this movie. He may be still young and still have more movies to comes, but with all due respect to The Academy Awards, this is his finest work so far. Let's be honest, " CALL ME BY YOUR NAME " is going to be the one TO compare from now on for a love story, One that has changed one's perspective on life... One of a Kind...The Movie that will bring people together for that very reason. "LOVE IS LOVE" no matter what or where, or religion...
