I think the cav champ helm was at a disadvantage in these tests because you were in range phal with 5x more troops on your own account so you were only hitting range troops the whole time, in a real wonder battle you would probably get through the range and hit inf or cav too or maybe the opponent would be using inf or cav phal
u need to balance ur total hp and atk 1:1 to be perfect, if u take full counter as much hp as possible is best, and if u counter u better have more atk but still need good hp to not drop too fast vs a big mix so ur atk drop with troops

49% atk spread in 3 = 147% attack 49% hp spread in 3 = 147 % hp Just think in your mind those atk and hp inf attack Or cav 70% cavalry atk 20% army attack convert 60% atk 70+60% = 130% from champ helm i know it's less 17% single troops atk if you look into his hp it's 21% higher hp and if we break this it convert into 63% hp extra from cav helm and what would you choose 17% inf atk in emp or 63% extra in inf hp in champ helm
You need HP only for frontline and the troops you lose. But attack you need for all 3 type of troops. You told some right things but it can't be compared like you said. For example you don't need infantry HP if you don't lose any infantry

Your testing will not be accurate given your familiar choices. Inf range did the most damage because of the inf attack directly boosting the inf familiars. Example, change to cav helm and change to cav familiars. Inf range won't do as good..
