I think if you look back at the song at the start and Blitz expressions during you can see the insecurity was there way before Loona voiced it for the audience. He had these thoughts and Loona confirmed them by saying what Blitz is thinking already.😢

I mean, Stolas did spring that whole thing on Blitz without sitting down and having a conversation with him and prior to the Season 1 Finale it "seemed" like Stolas was only interested in Blitz for sex. Of course we the audience know that wasn't the case but thanks to Blitz have the worst case of self-loathing he never figured out Stolas liked him but that's also because the two never really talked about it thanks to misunderstanding the situation and having poor communications skills. Though considering both of their backgrounds it makes perfectly tragic sense.

Also to be fair Stolas has been reaching out for months but Blitz has been blowing him off as he says in the song. He already knows things are complicated and is avoiding them, so he isnt exactly blameless here.

Good build up for the apology tour later. I left a comment on a short talking about a theory that the goat going get back into heaven and I post I wonder if he got brownies points for killing a imp because he now have a kill count or because he killed a innocent bi-stander by accident than he won't be allowed in. I also thought luna was going to trick the goat with her human form because he won't hurt a human than sucker punch the poor goat.

I wasn’t into the cherubs in their first episode, and this one didn’t improve my opinion any. I dunno, they just annoy me and I can’t bring myself to care what they do or what happens to them. I liked the Dhorks better on their own, so the two groups working together just didn’t jive for me, I’d have rather have had the focus just on the agents again.
I liked the episode overall. My favorite part was definitely Blitz and Fizz together. I’d love to see Fizz give Blitz relationship advice down the line, maybe help him see beyond his insecurities.
One cool thing I noticed was they didn’t have any end credit music. We went from the break up to complete silence, and I thought that was a good call. Give the seriousness of what just happened time to sink in.
Overall it’s a B tier episode for me. Would’ve been A tier if it weren’t for the cherubs annoying me. But that’s just me nitpicking, I still think that the storytelling and animation are constantly improving as the team gets more experience and that’s fun to see. I will say that this is the first episode that didn’t have a laugh out loud moment for me, although the song came close (🥁See what I did there) a few times.

Honestly I think Blitz has some justified anger here, Stolas has romanticized this idea of Blitz, but he's never actually TALKED to the guy as far as we know on any level past superficial.
He DID drop this bomb on him, as far as Blitz's point of view (remember we know a lot more as an audience, but Blitz is just an entire unclaimed baggage department of trauma, generational, societal, AND personal) and now Stolas is just expecting Blitz to continue to be exactly what HE wants him to be. All of this was Stolas making choices for Blitz, even if it's "to give him a choice", and even if it's the right thing, there was no discussion.
Just because he treats Blitz differently to other imps doesn't mean he's not still treating him like an object, or a pet. Yes, he's finally getting a clue that this has been a massive power imbalance, but like, he's expecting a cookie for treating Blitz differently. He's doing that thing people understanding privilege for the first time do where they're "Oh woe is me I was terrible! But I'm BETTER now! I have a friend from a minority group! Feel sorry for how DIFFICULT this is for me! Tell me I'm a good person now!" Like, yes, good, glad you're catching up, but the people you've hurt have every right to feel hurt and angry still, and making one exception doesn't change much. He still has imp servants that he doesn't give a passing thought to. He's known Blitz since childhood, and is JUST NOW realizing there might be a power imbalance? That shit runs deep. ALSO compare and contrast: Fizz and Ozzie.
(I'm not saying Stolas isn't ALSO an entire luggage department, and that shit IS difficult to change, and it IS good that he's recognizing it and trying to change it! This is a whole clash of two very different trauma whirlwinds and they aren't playing well together. But giving Blitz zero time to process and then assuming he knows what his opinion is without asking? Stolas, you beautiful messy bird, this ain't it.)
And Stolas ALSO has every reason to make the assumptions he makes about Blitz, since Blitz hasn't communicated EITHER, like, it's completely understandable! Stolas has entirely bought all of Blitz' deliberate misdirection and defence mechanisms, and hasn't really managed to see past many of them.
Ugh this is getting long. Sorry, no brain left for editing. Point is, I think they both have valid points, but I'm kind of on team Blitz at least as far as this fight went. Stolas still has all the power here, and when Blitz is angry and mistrustful, he doesn't take the time to ask WHY, he just dismisses him, assuming he's already figured it all out, once again removing agency from Blitz in the process.
I absolutely want them to have a happily ever after, that would make my little shippy heart happy. But honestly I don't know if the power imbalance is going to be insurmountable for them, and I don't know if either of them is really GOOD for the other? I think they ARE good for eachother in a transitional sense, they're both learning from this relationship, and I think they'll both be better than they were when they get to whatever the resolution of this is, if that makes sense? But I also feel like maybe the best thing they can both do for eachother after that point is ...move on,? Take the experience they've given eachother, and find relationships that are healthy, because I don't think this can ever really be healthy.
...But I also just ship them so hard :p
I don't love the CHERUB characters, and the whole DHORKS thing isn't being handled well imo? I like the two agents, but it feels like what could/should be a truly menacing threat, especially with the two groups combined, just... isn't? Even with all of their new funding, it just feels goofy.
I'm hoping they decide whether or not we're meant to be worried by them or not, because it's mixed signals right now, they're played for comedy, but also the fight scene did feel like it had stakes, it needs to lean more heavily one way or the other. Perhaps it's deliberate and they're planning to become Suddenly!Menacing or something, but it feels like there's a disconnect right now between how we're meant to feel as an audience and how they're being written.
As a contrast, when Striker shows up there's genuine anxiety, because he's a Threat. I'm also far more interested in him as an antagonist. (Related aside: I am absolutely waiting for the show to drop Striker's devastating backstory, and turn him into the most sympathetic villain in the series. They hinted at it with "Some of us have everything we love taken away" and you just KNOW that's going to be a gutpunch if they go that route.) I'm hoping for another clash with him far more than any of the Cherub/Dhorks stuff, but he is starting to suffer from recurring villain problems, so next time we see him I'm both anxious and hoping for the sake of the narrative he'll actually do some permanent harm (or reach the end of his story), because if he escapes again he starts to become a Batman villain.
This is too long, I'm too tired to edit it. Enjoyed this video. :)

I didn’t necessarily enjoy the cherubs fight as the transition from moment to moment felt odd and was hard to track. I’ll also say it would’ve been nice to see the imp crew tailing the cherubs in the background or more foreshadowing that they would be there. And finally more of a minor nitpick but the two different shop owners felt like the same dude copy and pasted, would have been nice to have the designs and personalities be a bit more distinct or just use one store. Though I’d say most of those points are nitpicks and I really did find this episode phenomenal. Especially the start and end!
Oh and in terms of ranking I’d say this is just below the fizz episodes for me. So like third place in the rating.

Yeah but the surprise of I.M.P following them was the point, wouldn’t have been as good if we knew.

@@EpicRandomness555 I wasn’t saying to make it obvious but some clue that only observant viewers could see. Like moxies shadow in the far background or the crew hoping from distant buildings

I think the fight felt kind of out of place but the choreography was on point. I don't really see how the action was hard to follow at all. And the attention to detail was genuinely impressive. Like how the head of Millie's axe getting blown off led to her using the manhole cover to block the bullets and then to break Keeny's claws

either stolas will die for sacrificing himself to protect Octavia and blitz's from stella and her brother trying to kill them both with stolas with his last Breth telling blitz he loves him or its the opposite way blitz saving stolas and Octavia from stella and Stella's brother, blitz sacrificing himself telling stolas that he loves him with his last Breth!

im glad Stolas dumped Blitz. it was always an abusive relationship. Stolas deserved so much better. the abuse hurled at Stolas was so undeserved. Stolas has done so much for Blitz and IMP and the ungrateful jerk just wants to get his rocks off in the most abusive ways possible.
