  • You can't win spars. Sparring is for learning techniques and practising what you have learnt under pressure against increasingly better partners. Even the best boxers can be caught off guard in sparring. it's all about developing your character and staying calm in the heat!

    When Marwan fights anyone with any real speed and aggression, he'll get rocked. Keeps his left hand way to low and way too often (I understand he's just learning) and when he blocks his face, hands are so high, he'll get crushed by body shots. Decent movement, though. Keep it up!

  • @jacksonbauer5199
    @jacksonbauer5199 Před měsícem

    I was just impressed that nobody let their ego take flight! I suppose that because it’s in a chill country and not America though. The likelihood of a light sparring session escalating to a full on brawl in a lot of gyms in America is roughly 50%. I’m not saying all, there are plenty good gyms where that shit won’t fly, but for every one of those, there’s one that’s proportionally shit. I always thought that there was an unspoken agreement in any form of sparring that you hit as hard as you’re willing to be hit, but that requires some level of trust and respect (which, let’s be honest, we Americans aren’t necessarily world famous for having in spades), so there’s always the potential for fuckery, even in some top tier spaces. Anyway, I apologize for the long winded comment. Great video, I enjoyed it. Will be perusing the back catalogue for a while.
