I give Halle Bailey and her stylist from The Little Mermaid and Chloe’s sister and her stylist a lot of credit for inspiring female loc wearers to think outside the box. We don’t have to just wear our locs as is all the time. Those sisters have changed the game!

I like this better than the loc extensions because it doesn't add as much weight to the hair and thus less risk of thinning. I might do this once my locs mature!

Shedding and tangling is a huge issue tho. I've seen that be a critique of the bohemian hair look (braids, twists, locs)
@@Heyu7her3getting human hair helps a lot with that. More costly but doesn't tangle nearly as much as synthetic

I’ve been trying to figure out what I needed to do with my locs because I no longer liked that they were not full enough for me, so I’ve been using a curly wig to get that full effect while hoping that 1. I would get a chance to let my locs grow and 2. Figure out what I wanted to do with them. I either was going to cut them off and start over smaller for that fuller look or start over wearing wigs all the time again. Thank you, Thank you for this video and I know that I have another choice to make without such a drastic decision to make. This is perfect advice for me. I did the extensions video on my locs for my grandmother funeral and in the pics it looked great for such and horrible event.

I am in the middle of installing mine and let me tell you my fingers are rawwwww and yes I am using the finger protectors so I am just warning you ahead of time if you plan to do this style. Otherwise I am super excited because it is so cute!!!

I am so happy you did this! I want to do this after a year (in 3 months)! I feel like when you add full loc extensions to your locs they become to compact and heavy! The prices I’ve been seeing attach full extensions to the ends is $800+.I just want to attach loose ends so it can still be light.

Wow I’ve been looking for this exact video. Not a lot of people do this style. They usually add soft/boho locs over the whole loc which I don’t like like cause of the wait and tension.

I used both bundles only because they were slightly different in color and I wanted dimension. But I didn't use all the hair, I still have at least half of each bundle left. So I really only used about a bundle of hair, if that makes sense lol

Its good is not on your own locs because I learned the hard way adding extensions pieces to my already long locs because my hair got extra heavy and over time when I finally got to my stylist she said my hair was starting to thin..
Since I crocheted the hair in so good I couldn’t tell where my own locs ended so I had my stylist cut some off.. then I got home and cut off the rest into a bob.. I wasn’t happy about it but I wasn’t trying to have my hair thin out. Hopefully you won’t have that issue but definitely as a warning but I case. The extra weight could case thinning.
