    Thank you mark, as an aspiring Heli pilot you are teaching me through your videos even though you have passed on. Our physical bodies may pass but our legacies live on. Rest easy.

    Mark that looks expensive, you are the instructor I would want. Waffel dog is the place to chew on chow .

    I'm curious how are you doing training in a experimental aircraft? Is this just transition training?

    • @AirMark
      @AirMark  Před 2 lety +3

      As per the FAA regulations per E-AB aircraft, flight instructors can provide primary flight training in the E-AB aircraft that is owned by the training pilot. Transition training can be provided to rated helicopter pilots in the RotorWay/RotorX I own provided the CFI owner has a FAA LOA.

    That 'EXPERIMENTAL' word needs to disappear as it frightens some people and there is no way this helicopter is an experimental helicopter for the length of time it has been in service.
    It is well proven and has mechanically advanced over time to become a reliable machine.
    The word RECREATIONAL' would be appropriate.

    • @flyboycpa
      @flyboycpa Před rokem

      Sorry, but the rules are the rules. Any Experimental-Amateur Built aircraft that can carry at least one passenger is required (by FARs) to display the word “EXPERIMENTAL” in plain sight of the passenger. But your point is well-taken as these are well-designed. That said, you just never know what skill level the builder possesses when you crawl into one that they built compared to a factory-built aircraft with proper QC checks in place.

      Some people can't afford a second mortgage for a bell or robinson. You can't beat what you get here for the price imo unless you stay fixed wing.
