Pretty sure it connects from the graphics card with HDMI to the 4K60 card "IN" port and then from "OUT" to the monitor of choice, all in the same PC. No need for dual PC setup.

I just want to know if we do use one pc will we lose our dedicated refresh rate on the monitor since the connection is via HDMI.

I’m curious. Right now I have the HD60S and I play directly through OBS because there’s virtually no delay (both monitors being used by the PC) Would anyone know if I’d be able to just run an HDMI 2.0 cable from my Xbox one X into this card and just run cables from my GPU to my monitor and play directly through OBS?

I was searching for a capture card with higher specs but when I found your comment (I misunderstood it😅) I thought they drop a firmware update that allow us to record 4k with higher fps than 60...

I want the recording to be better than the PS5 bultin, you understand? Would I have to upgrade to a 3090 for example or is it not necessary?

Total newb question. I currently record in 1080, but want to make the jump to 4K for the PS5. My TV that the gaming console is connected to is 4K, but my PC monitor I would record on is 1080. Will I still be able to record in 4K?

Streaming and/or recording requires significant CPU power, as well as GPU power, the point of these cards are to remove that, or at least significantly reduce it to the point where it won't impact your game performance.
So, you won't simply need a good graphics card to record as well as this card, but also needs a powerful processor, both together are WAAAAY more expensive than this card. So, if you have a spare PCI-E 3.0 slot, get this card.
Not saying you can't stream without this card, I do it, but it definitely is better than using CPU and GPU.

4K60 Pro Mk.2 does not have an LED logo.

Getting stuck on a boot loop. What's the deal?
I've tried both the Cam Link and Cam Link 4K, but both stop after a while :( Would be interesting to try this instead for multiple cameras.
I use 2x Camlink 4k's daily. All day no issues.. The biggest thing is to make sure not to use the dongle and make sure each is on its on sep root USB hub, with nothing else sharing.
@@Nerdshowandtell I've tried everything, and on two PCs, still no go (also been in touch with Elgato support). Not testing with even more Cam Links :P
netwrecks y, docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/debugger/usbview is the way to see if they share root hubs. most motherboards just dont have enough root hubs and you end up with that issue when they share with other usb devices.
It's a 4k capture card but the video isn't in 4k.

Doesn't matter which, as long it's good cpu.
Being multiple cores don't mean it's making it good.
Multiple cores is about faster rendering time in softwares.
For fast loadings is SSD but SSD's don't last longer than HDD's.

the 4k60 pro is an infuriating card. Just spent 200 bucks on it, and it worked fine for about a week...and now it just keeps flashing input signal lost every few seconds.

Next time read everything on the manual and box before you're blaming yourself on the internet.
@@SeriousDragonify It was working fine...and then stopped working fine suddenly. Typically, an issue like that is not bios related since it was just fine prior.

Cannot run it.

Try running in OBS.
Most use it for recording due to more optimized options.
They need to fix it do not work with amd cards

Thanks for putting this together. It's obvious that you've got a strong tech background, and that you're articulate. But a lot of what you said was geared toward your target market; gamers. I have zero interest in gaming, and I'm not familiar with the tech vernacular. I just want the best streaming/capture card for live streaming talking head videos. I have a DSLR and a gamer's dream PC. Many people, including myself, are telecommuting during the pandemic. Many of us want to create and upload content. We also want to meet with family, friends, and coworkers. Please make a video for us. Thank you.

There are HDMI to DP adapter cables. Though, I understand what you mean, there should a DP version too, so you don't have to switch it. DP will soon replace HDMI in the gaming world, most likely.
